Moisturizers -Kiehls - Ultra Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15

I bought the small bottle of the original UFM (w/o SPF) on vacation in Texas and fell in love with it, so when I ran out of it a few months later, I could not wait to buy another bottle while traveling through the states. This time the S.A. recommended the UFM with SPF, and since summer was approaching I decided to try it. I have to say I am not as much of a fan of the SPF moisturizer. I am not sure if it is the SPF that makes the difference (and to be fair it has been a while since I had the original version, so it is hard to compare) but I feel like my skin is not as moisturized with the spf and it sort of stings (in a sunscreeny way). I would much prefer to buy the original UFM without spf and apply a separate sunscreen, than use this combo. I will not be repurchasing this product.

I really like this foundation. I bought it because I was out of my Neutrogena Healthy Skin foundation (and wasn't up for splurging on a new MAC or Laura Mercier foundation). In Canada, this foundation is about $18-20 CAD, so it is still pricey for a drugstore foundation but affordable, compared to high end brands (especially if you can get it on sale!). Some people have commented that they dislike the foundation because of the shimmer, but I actually like it. It's subtle and gives your face a nice finish. I apply it with a MAC 188 brush and then blend with a Beauty Blender sponge. Is it my HG foundation? I am not sure, but I will definitely repurchase it again.

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara Blackest Black

I have given this mascara more than its fair share of chances but every time I give it another chance and repurchase it (only when it is very on sale) I regret it. I bought this 2 days ago because it was on clearance at my local drugstore and am sorry I did. The formula is terrible and the wand makes is very difficult to apply the product. At least I know to never buy this mascara again, no matter how on sale it is and will be sticking with my HG mascaras (L'Oreal Telescopic and Maybelline Falsies) only from now on.
