Signature Minerals sample kit shipped quickly, but none of the colors worked for me... foundation 6, 7, and 8 looked kind of muddy or something. Disappointed in the blush and eye colors labeled "semi-matte"... waaayy too frosty therefore useless to me. Still searching for EM alternative.
This gets great reviews here but it's a definite "no" for me. Don't mind mixing my own mineral makeup if it results in the best shade but I could not get Silk Naturals to work. I spent quite a bit of time measuring and mixing and adjusting but it always came out "off" to "way off". The "ivory" base seems to have a grayish cast which then taints every mixture. Plus it was very drying (guess that's why other reviews say to make sure you moisturize well before using... but there's only so much moisturizer you can put on before makeup). So I'm still in search of EM alternative. Maybe this stuff works okay for young girls but I would not recommend for anyone 30+.
Tried Loreal Sublime Bronze because of all the rave reviews here and price was right. Just now noticed a post saying there must be 2 different formulas for this product because the widely varying reviews just don't add up. Unfortunately I purchased the bad version (at Target). It had glittery shimmery stuff in it which was not mentioned at all on the label otherwise I would not have purchased. Even though I exfoliated it made my skin look dry and crepe-y! horrible! had to throw it in the garbage. not a bargain and not environmentally friendly. :(
