Eye Shadow -Bare Escentuals - Buxom Stay There eyeshadow in Chihuahua

I bought these in Black Lab, Poodle and Pug. The colors in this range are gorgeous. I mean, so beautiful. However, stay there is a joke, seriously. These shadows didn't last one hour on my eyes. I took them back I was so annoyed. Perhaps they stay in place with a primer underneath or with a shadow over top, but when they are marketed as a long lasting shadow you shouldn't have to do those things to make them "stay there." Especially at $17 each. I was really disappointed because I thought they would be great for easy, beautiful washes of color quick, but if you have to take extra steps, what's the point? I love the cause they support, but unfortunately I won't be supporting it until BE delivers what the name states.
Mascara -Make Up For Ever - Smoky Lash Extra Black Mascara
leleigh 2/12/2011 4:49:00 PM
I bought this mascara after reading/hearing a lot of good things about it. I'm mostly looking for a mascara to give volume, then maybe some length. I find this formula to be thick and clumpy. When I initially opened the mascara it was clumpy on the wand. Usually a good volumizing formula will start to clump on the wand when it gets old and starts to dry out some, but Smoky Lash was like this brand new. (Maybe I got a bad batch?) It does give good volume, though, but when I began building coats it became more clumpy, lashes started sticking together and looked spidery. I'm not into the clumpy spider look. Also, my eyes don't tend to be sensitive, but sometimes I felt like my lashes itched some with this mascara, not the norm for me. I would pass on this, I think there are better out there. Oh! and the other reviewers are right, it flakes. At this price it SHOULD NOT FLAKE.
Cleansers -La Roche Posay - Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser

I don't get the reviewer who said this dried their skin out. This product is geared toward people with dry skin? It didn't dry my skin out. Actually it helped to save during winter when my Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser started to dry my skin out. I use retin a two to three times a week, so I have to be careful sometimes that my cleanser isn't drying. I also have acne prone skin and was somewhat afraid to use this, but no problems one bottle into it. It's fragrance-free, no preservatives, so SLS and no surfactants. Great for senstive skin. I'm not really interested with cleansers with active ingredients. Unless you're using like a glycolic wash, cleansers aren't really in contact with your skin long enough to do anything. So something gentle, that doesn't strip my skin and cleanses is what I'm looking for and this fits the bill.
Cleansers -Bioderma - Sensibio H2O (aka Crealine H20 Solution micellaire)

I love this stuff. I have somewhat sensitive, acne prone skin. It tends to be dry in the winter and more oily in the summer. This didn't cause any breakouts for me. It's great for cleaning off the face, sunscreen and makeup without washing your face. I use it if I want to start with clean skin for putting on fresh makeup in the evening. It keeps me from having to over wash my skin, which can lead to dryness and irritation. Also great for taking makeup off before washing skin at night. I'm actually about to order more as I type this.
Polishes -Sephora - Sephora by OPI LOOKS LIKE RAIN DEAR
leleigh 2/12/2011 4:13:00 PM
This is such a beautiful gold glitter polish. I think you can still get it on sephora's website. It is limited edition, though, so I would snatch it up. It looks pretty as a glitter coat on top of other colors and beautiful on it's own. It's a true gold, and the gold glitter is fine with chunkier iridescent glitter just the like description on Sephora states. I would say it's a sophisticated glitter polish. Sometimes with glitter polishes you're afraid you look like it's for a 13 year-old, not this one. So pretty, get it!
I've been using this as one of my sunscreens for a couple of months now, and I really like it. It's not perfect, but close. I have acne prone skin that tends to be sensitive sometimes (I use retin a). This sunscreen doesn't cause me to breakout, sting my skin or cause irritation. It does not leave a white cast to my skin, and it shinks in nicely. I keep a couple of tubes on hand. One of the better, effective sunscreens I've used.
Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Carbon Black Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner

I really REALLY wanted to love this, and I feel somewhat cheated because everyone else seems to love this liner. However, it flakes on me. I'm not sure if it's something to do with my body chemistry/oils my skin produces. I have tried wearing this several times now. After a few hours of wear, I'll look in the mirror and it's completely flaked off in certain areas. It's such a shame. I love liquid liner.
I wasn't that impressed with this product, and honestly, a big part of my problem is it smells like a cigar/smoke shop. Seriously, just like one. For that reason alone, more than the performance of the product, I will not repurchase.
I love the color of this blush. It's so pretty, a very flattering nude honey shade. I like how it's portable, but I also think the packaging does make it difficult to control the amount of product you get on the brush.
I really wanted to like this product. I have light to medium skin, and I didn't find the color this product leaves on my face to be bothersome. Some sunscreens I've tried made my face look dull because of the cast, and I didn't find the city block spf 40 did that to my skin. I will say, though, that it balls up. Not horribly, but it does. I even used Clinique moisturizer underneath and I still had some flaking/balling issues. In my opinion, the UVA/UVB protection in this sunscreen isn't fabulous enough to deal with this. I'm still on my search for a my HG ss.
FLAKES. When I first used this mascara I thought it was pretty good. It gave fairly good volume and length. However, I used it again today and it flakes!!! I'm sorry I'm not willing to tolerate a mascara that leaves black flakes under my eyes five hours into wear. There are so many out there that will not do this. This mascara gets a thumbs down.
I don't know what I did wrong with this, because everywhere I seem to go, sephora, skinstore.com, etc. this product seems to get really good reviews. I did not feel like this did anything for my SLIGHT dark circles or fine lines/wrinkles. I've used much cheaper eye creams I thought actually did a better job combating both problems. Belli Eye Brightening is cheaper, more product and is also considered a natural brand. Oh! and is in a tube instead of a jar, which I prefer.
I bought this lotion because I was interested in using a natural moisturizer for all over my body. It was disappointing for me, though, because I didn't feel like it hydrated my skin well at all. It's a little on the watery side even for a lotion. I will probably use this up, but I will not be repurchasing.
This smells wonderful! The only downside is, I felt it disappeared too quickly for the price. The fabulous smell almost makes it worth the $$$, though.
I LOVE this bathbomb. I could smell it forever. I like how it isn't too perfumy. It's just a nice clean and fresh smell. Probably my favorite bathbomb so far. Just a warning, it is going to turn your bath water green, but I'm fine with that.
