I did not like this mascara, it was way too clumpy, all my lashes where just stuck to each other, it just not a nice look. could not wear in the evening either.

Mascara -Rimmel - Sexy Curves Waterproof

Oh boy, not sure where to start. This mascara is pointless, it does nothing but tint my lashes. it adds no volume, no length and here is the worst part...no curves! why call it sexy curves!!! it actually does the exact opposite, my eyelashes just go straight when i put it on although they are naturally curvy (well not really, they curve due to the use of rapidlash). The formula is really terrible, I tried it 3 times and threw it out. I put it once one eye and compared it to my daily Maybelline Clossal, wow the difference is ridiculous, I don't even know how this one made it to the market. oh and on top of that, the brush keeps poking me in the eye.

Highlighters -Estee Lauder - Brilliant Shimmer

I got this in the shade 01 Gold just like the one in the picture in 2009 from a CCO in the US (I'm from Canada), it was 25$. My friends complimented me so much on it that they made me buy it for them when I went back to NY. It was the first highlighter I ever used and it gave me exactly the results I wanted from such a product. Glowy (too glowy to put all over the face but just perfect for the cheekbones), very finely milled, no glitter, just a really really nice highlight. I tried finding other similar products since I bought it, not because it wasn't great but just to see if there was anything better out there. I watch gurus on YT and this one is never mentioned, other highlighters are praised, among which Benefit High Beam. The latter felt less versatile and somewhat less natural than my EL one. The most raved about highlighter is the Christian Dior Amber Glow, and I have went to Sephora several times more than willing to buy it (I still swatch it every time I go in there) but every time I try it out it does not give the glow that I get from my EL one. So all in all my search made me appreciate the EL highlighter better.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Studio Powder Brush

I only bought this because it was raved about by my favorite makeup guru on YT who usually uses only high end products. I really love this brush, it is dense an flat and applies liquid foundation amazingly, gives a nice finish. I also use this to blend my bronzer. Out of the few products that I ordered from ELF to try, this one is number one. Should I lose this, I will immediately repurchase.

Well this is quite surprising, I actually like this. I made an order last Christmas from ELF in order to donate it to the women's shelter. People donate toys to them but forget that these women also need a little something for themselves. I took advantage of this to order a few products for myself to try as I have never purchased anything from them. I'm not trying to be a snob but a brand that cheap never gave me high hope. I have to say I am eating my words now (or thoughts?) for I am quite pleased with some of the ELF products that I would actually repurchase them. never thought 1-3$ would give me so much. I have no pigmentation on my lips so I picked the darkest color they had, ruby slipper. This obviously comes out lighter on me than most people but I really like the color. It is just flattering and somewhat natural. the texture is not tacky or sticky and here is the surprise, it lasts longer than other lip glosses from high brands. The shine is decent.

Eye Primer -E.L.F. - Mineral Eyeshadow Primer

I love the Urban Decay Primer Potion but it is too heavy duty and costly for everyday use. I decided to purchase a more natural primer and this one had good ratings. It is so darn cheap, i said what the hell I'll try it. This beyond exceeded my expectations, I have to say it does a good job at keeping the makeup in place all day. However, it is not as good as the UDPP on the long run. I have slept a few times with my makeup and in the morning the makeup had run whereas with UDPP it stays in place overnight. I know this information is meaningless since no sleeps with their makeup but just thought I would say it lasts all day but not 24h. Will definitely repurchase. Good job ELF:)

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)

This stuff is amazing! How did I live so long without an eye primer?! I thought it was not necessary unless you put on a ton of makeup or work in a professional makeup setting. Anyways, I have seen this on YT but never gave it a thought even though I have greasy lids. I travel a whole lot for my job and one day I did a long trip from Canada to Houston. When I got to my hotel, i looked in the mirror and my beautiful multishaded brown eye makeup had melted and mixed with itself to give an ugly muddy tired look. Enough I said! I needed to do something so I grabbed the rental car keys, drove to Sephora and purchased this primer. My eye makeup never looked the same again. It does not budge no matter what. I have even on a few occasions slept with smokey eyes after a long night and woke to find the makeup almost the same. This stuff is like glue. Will never go without this primer again.

I like the idea of stains because they look more natural than lipstick and are longer lasting, I hate re-applying anything. I was lusting over the Benitint from Benefit but it was too expensive. I bought the Body Shop version instead and fell in love. This gave me the incentive to buy the Benefit one, but I went for PosieTint in order to try a different color. Well...I like the Body Shop one much better. PosieTint has a nice color but it is not versatile and natural. I never reach for the PosieTint which is really too bad because I paid 40$. it just sits in my drawer since I bought it 2 years ago.

It is not red on me, it is a dark rose, almost fushia color but a natural color. Great cleanser, foams nicely, removes all my face makeup. Does not make my skin feel tight, just feels clean. Does not sting my eyes no matter how much I rub them with it. Love the gel texture and smell. costs only 6$ CAD with the 50% coupon for a big size bottle. I have started using this in the summer and have purchased 6 bottles so far.

Eyeliner -Avon - Waterproof Glimmersticks

I'm not a big fan of Avon makeup but I have been so pleasantly surprised at the long lasting quality of these liners that I purchased 5 others. They stay put all day, no smudging, no budging...ALL DAY! I'm really happy my neighbor introduced me to them. The only downside, they don't stay on the waterline. this is really too bad and for this they deserve only 4 lippies. However, I'm giving them 5 lippies because the brown color is done right. I have purchased several brown eyeliners in the past due to my fair complexion and light chestnut hair and they all were either going tooo light or towards the orange, brick or bronze but never a genuine really dark matte brown. Avon is a winner on that one.

Blush -NARS - Orgasm Blush

I like this blush but don't love it, it is nothing special (unlike Coralista). Although the quality is amazing and the pigmentation is out of this world, this is mainly due to the brand and not the color itself, this color is definitely hyped. If it is ever lost or broken, I would not repurchase, I would however, purchase a NARS blush without hesitation.

This is by far my favorite blush, for once the hype is justified. There is something unique about it, the color and texture are perfection, it just makes me look pretty. I can't explain it. Pigmentation is ok but not great for something with a high pricetag. I don't think any brand would be able to duplicate this blush, like I said it is unique.

Powder -Laura Mercier - Mineral Powder SPF 15

I don't really use liquid foundation in fear it may cause acne or interfere with my daytime acne cream. I had never heard of Laura Mercier but bought this at Sephora 2 years ago because it has spf15. I really love this powder, I have it in Natural Beige. It does indeed look natural, no one can tell I have anything on. It just seems to even out everything and give me a healthy glow (although there isn't any shimmer in it). It is light to medium coverage so you have to have relatively good skin to use it. I have bought this 3 times already and will continue to do so.
