The MUA was wearing this gorgeous fuschia color as I was making a purchase, so naturally I had to know which brand it was. The color was smooth and balmy on her lips and I wondered if it would be the same for me. Fast forward 2months later and I now own bella balm in Betsey. These lipsticks are smooth, creamy, and leave a long lasting stain when applied correctly. I use a lip brush. I want every single color!
With the holidays upon us I had to take the time to review a product that I have been searching my whole life for....LipSense lipsticks. I am a lipstick enthusiast, and I love trying different colors and textures. The product promises to be kiss proof, drink proof, etc...and it certainly lives up to its promise. I am a stage actress (when time permits) and this Sweetheart Pink stayed on me from start to finish. I drank from water bottles, coffee cups, kissed, sang, and died at the end and the lip color did not budge. I swear by this product and have ordered several since. My other favorite color is Plumeria with Sand Gloss on top. I don't need any other lipsticks and coming from me- that says so much.
I've been on a lipstick kick for a few years now...I own a ton on lipsticks from different brands ranging from Mac, Armani, Hourglass, Becca, and Lipstick Queen (not to mention drugstore brands). I pulled nude sinner out randomly and thought I'd try it out today. I forgot how much I loved this particular shade. I like mlbb shades and this color works well for my summer tan skin. It is the type of nude that looks good with rosey cheeks, or the smokey eye. There is something very natural and soft...I felt compelled to write a review about this lipstick because my husband commented on how pretty my lip color was today. He's said that about two shades of lipsticks in the years we've been together. I love the stain the color leaves at the end of the day. It's opaque- not overly moisturizing, but it does the job and the color is in my humble opinion timeless. For reference I am NC 37/40. Love it!
BB Cream -Garnier - BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector - Light/Medium

I've worn this B.B. Cream for a week and for reference I use Medium/Dark for my skintone. I like the light weight feel of this cream. It is not thick, nor does it leave a greyish cast on my skin. I actually like the smell of Garnier, so the scent does not bother me. I have been wearing this cream for a week and so far I have not experience any sort of allergic reaction- in fact, my face seems like a smoother canvas...no breakouts. I will edit this review if somehow the results change. For now I am quite pleased with this product and highly recommend it.
Lipstick -Hourglass - Femme Rouge Velvet Creme- All
leiakrystine 3/21/2012 2:16:00 AM
I have all but three of the Femme Rouge Velvet Cremes. This review is for Fable- which is the perfect nude for my NC 40 complexion. Fable covers my lips with a silk like opaqueness. Yes it is expensive, but the quality surpasses any reservation I have to purchasing refills in the future. I love this lipstick with my Diego Dalla Palma gloss- perfection!
I am not in sync with the season. In December I wore pinks and nudes and in January I decided to ring in the new year with reds. Coco Noir is an amazing red. For my NC 37/40 complexion, it really brightens up my face and makes a bold statement. I wore this lip color to work and it lasted my 7hr shift- no bleeding, no smearing (even without lip liner). I love Julie Hewett reds. The packaging is classic and sleek...it makes me feel elegant.
This review is for Ellis Faas lipstick in L202 which is a rich sultry red. It is not as bright as L201, L202 definetly has more brown in it, but for my skin tone it is perfect. My only qualm about Ellis Faas is that if you overtwist the pen, you get too much product and it ends up going to waste. I will try to be more careful next time, but for the times I get too much product- I proceed to use the lipstick as blush. It blends very well and has great staying powder. I will continue to buy her products for their sleek packaging and multi-use. You need to own at least one and then decide from there if another purchase is necessary. Love this line- even though my wallet doesn't.
I'm a little late to be reviewing this palette, but after seeing the mediocre reviews, I just had to voice out and say: I love this palette!!! Yes the brown color is a little out of place and the packaging is a little much, but 2006 was the last time Mac released great holiday palettes. 2007-2009 didn't impress me very much. I find that this palette has everything I need to create a smokey eye look and a fresh understated look. I never thought I could pull off greys until now. If you get a chance to try this palette or any of the palettes from Royal Assets, I suggest you take it.
Fragrances -Trish McEvoy - #3 Snowdrop and Crystal Flowers
leiakrystine 3/31/2010 1:40:00 AM
I think I will be purchasing a new bottle of this very soon. The 1.07oz bottle has lasted me 6yrs! Snowdrop is my signature scent. I might have tried others, but I always come back to this. This was the first fragrance I purchased back in 2004 when I was not into makeup or perfume. I just loved the scent that much...I had to make it mine! Bright Crystal and Parisienne are my second and third choice. Love this stuff!
I don't know how helpful my review can be since this palette is LE, but I want to put my input. This is actually one of my favorite palettes since 2004. I like warm colors (NC 30/C4 Olive skin) so maybe that explains the low marks for this palette. I purchased warm and cool eyeshadow palettes for the 2008 collex except for the smokey and devoted poppy. I love this palette. It's my most used mac palette and I am a palette collector. Please consider swapping or purchasing this gem if you have similar coloring. I would not re-purchase because I doubt I'd use it up.
I loved this blush but I realized I had a dupe: Kevyn Aucoin Fira blush. So I swapped it. The reviews are accurate though....a lovely natural blush
I hate to bring down the great reviews on this duo, but Brousse did nothing for me. Maybe I didn't play with it enough to use it properly, but blended together- these shadows turned grey on me. I used soft ochre pp as base and they turned grey on me. This might work for others, but was blah on my skintone(made me look tired and worn out). Very sad- considering I wanted to love this.
I first purchased Taupe in 2001 and had to repurchase in 2003 because I lost my first tube. I love this lipstick to everyday. It's a nice alternative to nude for me (olive C4). I have pigmented lips and this color reads orange-nude on me- very warm and clean. I will continue to purchase Taupe in the future if I ever run out.
I suppose I'm the minority since I absolutely love this e/s. I found my pandamonium quad (I thought I had swapped it away or lost it since I couldn't find it), but there it was in my traincase. I thought I'd give Violet Trance a chance since I usually love what everyone hates. This eyeshadow shows up a gorgeous blue violet- indigo on my eyelids. I use soft ochre as a base and my 224 brush- you really have to pack it on to make it work, but the results are gorgeous.. I like to wear violet trance on the lids with pandamonium in the crease. This shadow is worth trying- try working with it before you swap it away....you never know.
Lipstick -Dianne Brill - Lip Lingerie in SILK STOCKINGS
leiakrystine 11/24/2009 1:13:00 AM
I really liked this color. Dianne Brill's lipsticks are fantastic because of the color range. It seems there is a red, a nude, a berry and a pink for every skin tone. Silk Stockings is described as a rum raisin color, but on my lips it turns a brownish berry color- which I suppose is quite accurate for rum raisin. The texture is divine: moisturizing, creamy, long lasting and beautiful. I suggest applying a single layer, blot, and reapply to make it long lasting.
