I bought the cherry flavor because I heard the color was very light. Well i'm really pale and to me this is pretty pigmented for a lip balm! I like it but it's more red than I expected. The flavor and smell is nice and I like the texture. I didn't feel that it kept my lips moisturized all day but it does for an hour or so. I think this is great for low maintenance girls like me who don't like full on lipstick but want color. I also think this is great for the teenage or younger group who don't want to be seen with LipSmackers but are still not at the lipstick stage.
I got this product initially because I was looking for a dupe of Mac's cooling face powder. I wanted something less expensive because I really just wanted it for the cooling gimmick. This powder has more color and coverage than Mac's since Mac's is a highlighting powder, and this is more of a face powder. I got the lightest shade possible in this one and it's perfect! The brush it comes with is a little small though so if you like a bigger brush you might want to make sure you have one available. I love this powder though! It definitely goes on cool and really does feel like water, so cool! The powder is nice and it's better than I expected. It's not heavy, just a light coverage which is what I like and always use. I think this is definitely a staple for me now especially in the summer months since the cooling sensation really is refreshing! Good job Almay!
Ok I wasn't excited to use this stuff. I recognized the tin since it's been on shelves forever, but it has a cow on it and I am definitely not a cow or livestock. That being said I bought myself a tin since I had this annoying lip flair up thing that I suspected to be eczema. I was told about this miracle salve! The cow and udders are off putting and so is the smell, kind of like tar and spearmint. But I tell you all that is easy to get past because this stuff works! It seriously cleared up my dry lip problem in 1 day. I now carry this stuff with me everywhere and use it on my hands, face, feet etc. It really is an all purpose miracle salve. It moisturizes like nothing else and I haven't had any breakouts at all from this yet. So it's fast becoming a holy grail for me. Even the cow on the tin is winning me over. ;)
I never could wear any Thierry Mugler scents as they are just too heavy for me and don't work for my skin chemistry. I love how they smell on other people though! I had to try this stuff because the bottle is absolutely awesome, yes packaging always sells me! Surprisingly this stuff works on me! It's got a fruity sweetness but still maintains an edge to it. It's got something in the background that's almost fresh or aquatic. I normally don't like aquatics but somehow this just works. It's a great day scent I think. Feminine but a little edgy. I smell what I think is apricots mostly, I looked up the scent list and was surprised to see caviar in there! Not a fan of that but hey it works so I don't question it. I think it's time I buy a bottle of this!
Loose Powders -Coty - Airspun Fragrance Free Luminous Translucent Loose Powder

I just got this stuff after seeing it for years and then recently hearing good reviews on it. Out of all the powders this one was the lightest which is a plus for me since i'm ghostly pale. The translucent is almost white so it actually matches my skin perfectly. It blends nicely and gives a pretty shimmery look to my face. The only thing is make sure you're skin is moisturized or this stuff will definitely highlight the dryness, as I noticed. The powder even though it's fragrance free does have a tiny amount of scent. It's very "retro" smelling but it's not too bothersome and it's easy to get used to. Much lighter than the original formula. Theres a ton of powder in the jar so I have a feeling this stuff will last a while. Great stuff!
Not a bad product by Lush definitely nice to see something with a little spice make an appearance. It's perfect for the winter and especially around Christmas time. The scent to me is Cinnamon and Root Beer. I was hoping for more of a mulled wine scent but it comes off more as a flat root beer to me. Luckily I like the root beer scent, although its not my favorite. I would buy this product again but probably only in the small size to enjoy around the holidays.
So far so good! I was really skeptical of using this stuff especially reading all the reviews on it. But I have to say i'm pleasantly surprised! The brush is a little weird to get used to especially with the curves. But once you use it for a while its no problem! I feel like the brush gets those little lashes that the other sizes may miss. I think this is a great everyday mascara and so far is my favorite of the drug store brands. Rimmel always is tops with me when it comes to mascara.
I was surprised to see all the negative reviews for this product. I really love this stuff and consider it one of my HG products. It is the only moisturizer that DOESN'T break me out. I can't use any drugstore lotion such as Olay or any of the other popular brands. So when I found this stuff I was really excited! I should say that I have dry and sensitive skin so maybe if your skin is more on the oily side this could be too rich. For me it's just right. I use it all year round with no ill effects. It has a nice fresh scent goes on light and silky and just makes your skin feel better. I couldn't live without this stuff.
Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Moroccan Rose Body Butter

I really love this stuff. I've never been a huge Body Shop fan but this stuff really got me re-thinking that. I love the smell of rose and this stuff is all rose! It's a very moisturizing cream but what really drew me in was as it sinks in theres almost a vanilla musk scent that comes out very lightly atop the rose. It's beautiful! I will definitely buy this again. Love.
Mascara -Hard Candy - 1,000 Lashes Fiberized Mascara

Painful! With contacts it's impossible and w/out it's still painful, tiny fibers get everywhere! I had them falling on my face all day making me look messy. Good idea but not executed very well.
Shampoo -Carol's Daughter - Khoret Amen Herbal Shampoo with Sea Moss

I love love love this stuff! I decided to try it since I found a good sale. I have very fine but curly hair that is on the dry side. This stuff is very rich and thick. It doesn't lather at all but like most non SLS shampoos thats normal. My results were amazing! I have well defined, moisturized, shiny curls! The trick is to make sure you rinse this stuff out well enough, I can see having buildup if you don't get it all out which does require a good scalp scrub. The only downside to this product is the smell. WAY too earthy for me. Heavy on the patchouli and Ylang-Ylang. I smelled like a hippie and the scent does last. I like the scent of Aveda Brilliant which is a bit earthy but this is 10x that. But since this stuff works so well I can look past the smell. I am so happy to finally find a shampoo that is silicone/SLS free and works this great. I love my curls after using this product. I feel like my curls are no longer thirsty. I think i'm a Carol's Daughter fan now for sure. eta: I wanted to add that I don't really use this stuff in the summer months because it's so moisturizing, with the heat my hair tends to get droopy or look greasy. BUT in the cooler low dew point weather it is by far my holy grail. Unfortunately it looks like this stuff has been discontinued. I'll be sad when I use up the last of it.
Hair Color -L'Oreal - Superior Preference Hair Colour

Not sure how I feel about this yet. I wanted a slightly darker blonde than I got from another golden blonde color. So I decided to try out the Golden Blonde #37. Well let me say that the color does NOT match the color on the box at all! I had light golden blonde hair and this turned it almost auburn. I hated it at first but now it is growing on me. It's not at all what I expected though so not sure if I will repurchase. The good thing about it? It didn't leave my hair feeling fried, and it didn't burn my scalp while dying. Update: After a few weeks my dark color faded and looks more golden blonde. I am happy with the results and I think I will use this dye again.
I love this hair dye, but i'm pretty sure it's been discontinued. If it hasn't it's impossible to find anywhere. I use the light golden blonde (sunrise) and/or dark golden blonde (bamboo). I got lucky with these shades as they have just enough red in them that make me border on the line of blonde/strawberry blonde. Sadly though I'm looking for a replacement since they're no where to be found. Anyone know of a dye thats comparable to this one?
I found these at the dollar store of all places. I bought a dark teal color that I though would be pretty. This stuff doesn't have very much pigmentation, so the color showed up more of a light Jade color. Luckily I've been wanting a light color like that so I wasn't that disappointed! Not a horrible eyeshadow but there are better. I would pay a buck, but that's about it.
I bought this in Precious and while I am a big fan of the HIP line this was just awful! The glitter got everywhere and the color was very faint! It looks very pretty in the packaging but it's nowhere near the same once it hits your skin. I'd skip the crystal line.
