Blush -NYX - Angel

The colour is nothing like the one swatched!! I wanted a cool baby pink shimmery blush, like angel is supposed to be, but what I got is peachy-orangey! It is really really weird. Did I get a wrong batch or what? I don't understand. Apart from the colour that is not flattering on my cool toned skin, the shimmer is really beautiful and gives dimension to the blush so it doesn't look flat. I might repurchase just to see whether the one I have is really angel or another blush mistakenly labeled as angel.

Highlighters -NYX - Mosaic Powder Highlighter

WOOWWW Fantastic highlighter!!! It gives a noticeable yet very natural pearly-glowy-from-within highlight. Finely milled, no chunky shimmer or glitter. It is very shiny so a little goes a long way. It gives a truly visible definition to my cheekbones without anybody can tell I am wearing something. This is cool-toned though. Neutral to slightly warm, or warm-peachy complexion can still wear it. Very yellow toned individual might want another highlighter though (Bourjois one is warm toned and good as well)

BB Cream -Skin79 - Super+ BB Cream Gold Label

Cheap product doesn't mean bad, this is an example of an affordable yet GREAT purchase. It glides on skin very easily, super blendable and natural, leaves your skin dewy and super nice. The coverage is light to medium, can cover redness, but for acne scar, you still need to use concealer. I have a lot of redness on my nose, probably broken blood vessel or acne scar, I don't really know. Once, the skin around there was really dry and flaky, and using revlon colorstay, it just exaggerated the flakiness and actually draws attention to my red nose; but when I tried to put this on, I was in awe. Although this didn't cover 100% of the redness, but the flakiness reduced significantly. Then, I mixed this with a tiny bit of concealer and tried to cover the redness on my nose again. Perfect! It was perfectly concealed without the concealer look. It looked just as if I never had the redness problem in the first place. Sadly (really sadly) this is too dark for my skin. I realised it at first when I saw myself in the mirror under natural light and also at the end of the day when I took my makeup off, since before taking it off, my face looked way darker than my neck and it looked much fairer and normal after I cleaned my face. The colour does not match me. I need another BB cream which is fairer. So to utilise this, I like to mix it with foundation (revlon colorstay in ivory). This BB Cream may be good for NC/NW 20-25. I am lighter than NW15 but not too pale either. Shade that doesn't match is not a reason to reduce the overall rating since it may work for a lot of people. I just wish skin79 will make BB cream in various shades. Recommended for normal to dry skin. Not recommended for oily skin, as it offers no oil control, no mattifying property.

Lips -NYX - Soft Matte Lip Cream in Antwerp

Love this! Beautiful, beautiful colour! A sufficiently bright yet soft enough coral, which is warm-toned enough to show up as a coral yet cool-toned enough not to clash on cool-toned complexion. I guess ladies of various skin tones can wear this beautifully. It really perks up tired face and gives a fresh, pretty look. The texture however, can be a bit drying, so exfoliation is a must. No problem for me since I always keep my lips in good condition. Suggestion from me is not to put balm beneath since it can affect staying power, which is average, but leaves a beautiful stain. Great buy for the price!

Lipstick -NYX - Narcissus

I bought this because I was in quest of searching the perfect light blue-based pink, bright lipstick; but too cheap to afford MAC Saint Germain (at least in my country, where MAC is more expensive than in US). I love the colour actually. It suits my NW15 skin well, but definitely not for anyone who wants to look elegant, expensive, and classy as this lip colour screams teenager. It is slightly darker and a bit less blue based than saint germain; actually more wearable as it is more yellow-teeth friendly than saint germain although not exactly so. The problem is, the texture is awful. It is too creamy to the point of oily, settle into lip lines, and just 'sit there' on my lips. Bloody hard to be applied evenly, often ends up rather patchy. Also, if you have dry lips, this will exaggerate every lip imperfection, every line, every flake. Love the colour, detest the texture. I should have just saved for Saint Germain instead.

Lipstick -NYX - Round Lipstick - Watermelon

I bought this one after reading the review here. I wanted a coral lipstick which suits my light neutral-cool toned skin (MAC NW15/Revlon Colorstay between ivory and nude). DISASTER!! I am fine with shiny or slightly frosty lipstick but It's WAY too frosty and actually looks BRONZE on my lips that you can barely see its true colour!!! Very unflattering. If I wipe it with tissue, I can see on the tissue that the underlying colour is peachy pink and actually nice, but the gold bronze shimmer is just too strong and just won't go away. Bad, bad lipstick. Don't bother with this if you have cool/neutral fair complexion.

Self Tanners -Jergens - Natural Glow - Medium
leakuro 12/16/2008 1:51:00 AM
I've applied it very evenly and carefully from my feet to my face, but the result was terrible. It only added a very slight tan colour on my fair-neutral face, but it turned my legs and arms super yellow, jaundiced yellow, not the golden one. Hideous. But, unlike the others, I wasn't bothered with the smell. And it coloured my skin quick. If the colour matches you, then Jergens Natural Glow is for you.
