ok i deleted my last review for this as i wanted to start again. ive been using this for about 2 months now, i used to have normal lashes not that short but not long. i got this off ebay as i wanted the long lash look. the first couple of weeks yes they got a little longer but not much but after using it for about 2 months they have blossomed into long gorgeous lashes and there thicker too, i got my first "you have long eyelashes" and "i want lashes like you" comments the other day so im chuffed. i def recommend this as im one of these people that stuff i buy never actually seems to work for me but im so surprised this has. great product the money is def worth it and ill be using this forever now.

Mascara -Max Factor - False lash effect
leahluvspink 2/9/2009 2:34:00 PM
i used this for the 1st time today and i love it. i normally buy the expensive types i love diorshow iconic and ysl false lash, i bought this as just an everyday mascara but i find this sooo good its my new going out dramatic mascara my eyelashes are huge!it has worked so well on my lashes although i did have to brush quite a few times but the result was worth it. i applied 2 coats and a third on the ends of my shorter lashes to even them out and it dint clump. i like the brush a little bit chunky i admit and is going to take a bit of getting used to but its got a blunt end which is good, how many times have you got mascara round by your eye, its a pain in the butt, but not any more. i cant praise this enough and i will not be going back to the expensive brands for as long as this is on the shelf.

Hair Styling Tools -GHD - IV Styler (all sizes)

i have used these for a good couple of years now after i tried a friends pair on my hair. i went down to my local hairdressers and forked out £110 for the latest mk4. i have tried other straighteners i had ones with glass plates for example and as i have super long hair (which used to be permed) and allot of it, it would take me an hour to blow-dry and then straighten my hair (which is ridiculous). however as soon as i started using these it cut my hair time in half. it takes me 5 mins to straighten (after i blow-dry) a quick run through with these and my hair is smooth, sleek and frizz-less. there is a mega but, this is all well and good having smooth and beautiful hair but let me tell you a few things. the straighteners used to heat upto (im not sure which version this happened with) 230 but then ghd is going to/or has bought the temperature down to 180 and heres the reason...anything passed 180 doesnt actually straighten your hair anymore the only thing it does is damage your hair and make it break. these straighteners smooth down the damaged ends of the hair so it appears to be in great smooth condition but your hair will actually be in very poor condition so heres my advice to you: blow-drying should be the most important thing you do, get this right and either you wont need to use unnecessary heat or you can just buy cheaper ones. heat protection spray is an absolute must before you straighten, if you are not using it you deserve to be bald!! i once spoke to a girl in a club- who i didnt know, used them she said that her hair was straight but it was so dry, (and it was like straw) she said she never used a single thing on her hair she just run the straighteners through it. i told her to try ANY heat protection spray even if it was cheap. the next time i saw her she recognised me and said that she got some and it made such a difference to her hair, and it did too, you could tell it was allot softer. also use some kind of anti frizz spray or serum. then when you have finished straightening, a finishing spray. tony and guy or lee stafford are both great ones. trust me get the hang of this and you wont need to pay a ridiculous amount for straighteners. if i can do it with thick permed hair anyone can do it! i have just ordered the new remington shine therapy straighteners, ive heard they are better but you can also control the temperature, as you cannot with the ghd's. dont get me wrong i do recommend ghd's to anyone but im going to try ones that will not damage my hair. havnt you wondered why long hair is hard to get and why you dont see it often now-days?? take a guess. UPDATE:ive changed my mind, i now have the remington shine therapy straighteners and they are loads better than my GHD's so im going to sell them. i dont recommend them anymore as the ones i have now make my hair feel better, and they are better for your hair and they are loads cheaper.

Mascara -Shu Uemura - Lash Repair
leahluvspink 12/20/2008 8:38:00 AM
i got this because while using my mascara diorshow iconic my eyelashes kept falling out which other users have also reported. i read about this on here so gave it a try. it was ok the brush is tiny which is useful as you can get right in there to the little lashes and it did stop them falling out so much. one came out when i removed my mascara when it used to be about 5/6 at a time per eye. so it does get the job done but i just think if it does stop them falling out why did they not get longer? i wouldnt buy again as i also used mavala and it was a 3rd of the price and also stopped my lashes falling out and promoted a small amount of length and its much bigger and lasts longer. so this dosnt do anything that another cheaper brand dosnt. i would recommend mavala if you only want to strengthen them to prevent loss.

Treatments (Eye) -Mavala - Double-Lash
leahluvspink 12/20/2008 8:25:00 AM
my lashes arent particularly short or thin or sparse there just plain average, i want super long fluttery lashes. i had problems that my eyelashes kept falling out and this is due to the mascara im using which is diorshow iconic, which many other raters have also reported. however i wasnt about to stop using it as the stuff is a miracle and makes my lashes huge. so im on the look out for something to strengthen them. i got this stuff on ebay cheep after i read the reviews about it on here. when i applied and let it dry it made my lashes appear to be smaller but i think thats just the gel. i used it for about a month. the lashes on my right eye have not change at all but strangely the lashes on my left eye have got slightly fuller and longer (they used to be slightly shorter than the right) i am not sure why as i applied them both the same. but i have also noticed that the longer lashes are in a little clump and i have a little bald patch next to it. i am now using revita lash and talika i will see if have any results with that and review in a month or so. i have put i would buy again but that would only be if i didnt get results from the others and i would probably try it for a bit longer.

Eyeliner -Collection 2000 - Glam Crystals
leahluvspink 12/19/2008 2:51:00 PM
i got this in black and i hate it im not sure what the point of this is. is it an eyeliner? i didnt even apply it to my eye, i tried it out on the back of my hand. it didnt come out like a smooth liquid eyeliner normally does, the black "liner" came out like the glitter did in little kind of clumps. terrible, i instantly threw it away. its a shame as collection 2000 normally do fairly decent stuff except the mascara and foundations. their illuminating touch concealer is superb, it is a touch eclait pen style type, i have tried both and this is so much better and its only a fiver. its a shame this was a load of crap.

Liquid -Revlon - Vital Radiance Line Softening Makeup SPF 15 Rehydrating
leahluvspink 12/19/2008 12:21:00 PM
i got this after a friend recommended it to me. she actually got this in the local pound shop, for a start, a quid you cannot moan at that. i wasnt thinking that it would do anything for me as i have red veins on my cheeks but i got some anyway as it was so cheep. i love it love it love it! the packaging is good it looks like it would be expensive. its supposed to be a line for the 50 and over as it minimises fine lines but i think it goes so well in my skin, its easy to blend with medium coverage, i still had to use concealer for my undereyes but i do with every foundation. as i have combination skin it made my skin a little shiny but i set it with powder and it is fab. it does minimise my fine lines and it has a good spf in it. i love this so much i will use it till i cant find anymore.

Liquid -L'Oreal - Cashmere Perfect Foundation [DISCONTINUED]
leahluvspink 11/5/2008 5:35:00 PM
MY FIRST REVIEW: i got this a couple of years ago it was completely the wrong colour for my tone but i remembered that i liked the finish of it, and after reading allot of good reviews about it i decided to get some from ebay £5.95 inc p&p in warm ivory. it is a perfect match for my skin tone. the scent is lovely and i like how it went on, it was a little patchy, tho i know it has something to do with that my skin was dry. ( i had a recent problem with my skin having a bad reaction to a face cream) i am not worried about the patchiness as it never did it before and i will moisturise well tomorrow. the cover was great, i have a bit of rosacea on my cheeks, combination skin which is translucent, so i have some visible veins and dark circles under my eyes. (not a pretty pic so i need to be very fussy with my foundation and i expect quite allot from it) this covered most of it and it didnt mask me either, the parts that werent dry blended in easily and it turned into a soft matte powder finish. all in all i love this foundation its fantastic and am going to stock up as im not sure if it has been discontinued, does anyone know if it has??? UPDATE: i have completely changed my mind about this. i moisturised before using this and it actually made it worse it caked on my face and blotched in my eyebrows,it was awful i even used a make up sponge to try and blend it in and it didnt work. ergh awful foundation and thats a shame as i like the coverage and the matte finish.

Mascara -MISSHA - Mascara Base
leahluvspink 11/5/2008 11:38:00 AM
i got this after the reviews i read on MUA from ebay, it was a pretty good price. you can see the fibers on the nicely shaped brush, but it was kind of dry to put on, i may add a little water to see what happens. the results werent good, i didnt get any clumps or spidery lashes and it thickened them but there wasnt any length which i was expecting. as i am quite lucky and any mascara makes my lashes curl i cant really comment on the curling ability other than they werent as curly as my normal mascara makes them.i use diorshow iconic and i get better results. i think if your gonna buy a primer and a mascara the cost would be the same as getting a decent mascara. i have also used the lancome cils booster which got similar results but you get allot more length. if you really need a primer then i would recommend the lancome but as my mascara is superb and i dont need it i wouldnt buy again as i werent impressed.

Foundations -Rimmel - Rimmel Cool Matte 16hr Foundation
leahluvspink 11/3/2008 1:55:00 PM
i got this ages ago because i like the maybelline mousse version but it wore off in a few hours, and this promised to last 16hrs.i hated it as soon as i rubbed it in my face, although i do love the fragrance its gorgeous but thats the best thing about it. it seemed to slide over my face and not sink in to my skin at all,it took allot of rubbing about. i was expecting a light soft matte finish like all the other mousse foundations ive used and like its name suggests, but that didnt happen as its very greasy and oily. there was little cover and it magnified my pores. tho i am pale this is very pale, i had deathly white skin and dark circles under my eyes, how attractive! i cannot comment on the claims of it staying put for 16 hrs as i looked so bad i took it straight off again.it was cool to the touch but im not sure why someone would want that it seems pretty pointless. rimmel is way off on this one. i wouldnt recommend this to anyone its really bad.

Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Dream Matte Pressed Powder
leahluvspink 11/3/2008 6:15:00 AM
i love this soooo much and ive only just realised how much about 5 mins ago!i love this anyway but i have been using a face cream and it has made my eye area soooo sore and red. ive just tried to put on my foundation and it has kinda clumped on the sore parts and it looked dry and flakey and like eczema were i had a reaction to this face cream. however i have kept the foundation on and my concealer too and it looked awful, i put this powder on over the top and it has smoothed it and my makeup looks like it normally does, no dry patches or flakeyness.(i apply this powder with a foundation sponge and i always get fab results) i am sooooo happy with this product its a bit more than i would normally pay but the results are brilliant.i love the packaging maybelline has made an effort on this one and it has def paid off. i think its the best powder i have used yet. i am def gonna get some more. this is my HG powder.

Treatments -RoC - Retin-Ox+ Serum Max - Intense Anti-Wrinkle Serum
leahluvspink 11/3/2008 4:30:00 AM
i dont have sensitive skin at all, i put all sorts of rubbish on my face and i never moisturise, untill recently. im 28 and ive been very lucky with my skin i have no wrinkles only a small smile line under each eye and i only look about 23-24. i have decided that i abuse my skin too much and im worried that one day my wrinkles are gonna pop out overnight and then it'll be too late. i bought this on ebay really cheaply and i have used it for three nights in a row now, first 2 nights fine no problems at all, apart from it made my hands smell of gradual tan. last night i applied after my bath and using a vitamin e facewash from superdrug, and oh my god it stung like hell and made my face red and sore. i woke up this morning took it off with my facewash again, and the applied a vitamin e plain moisturiser and it is still stinging under my eyes. and what worries me is that my left eye looks a bit puffy and my smile line has deepened and i have another line under each eye! oh my god this is terrible, im gonna use it every-other night and see if that helps and if the line dosnt go away im gonna stop using it. maybe it works on older women? ill update in a few weeks. UPDATE: i cannot believe this stuff is allowed to be sold, after writing my last review my eyes went like scales and started peeling, it took about 2 days to stop and i was left with more lines than when i started using it, and i had none. THANKS ROC FOR RUINING MY FACE!!

Eye Shadow -Christian Dior - Diorshow Eyecolor- 827 Stylish Rose
leahluvspink 10/28/2008 7:51:00 AM
i did like this, the pen is a really good idea and the colour is a shimmery pale pink. it went on smoothly without caking, clumping and creasing which is good for a liquid eyeshadow, and it lasts all day. the only thing is that i only use it for a day eyeshadow as it dosnt really wow me at all, i dont think its anything that you cant get from a cheaper one to be honest, and i think the its a little too expensive for just an ok day eyeshadow.but a really big plus is that it lasts ages and ive had mine for about 2 years (using it now and again) and theres still loads left and it hasnt dried out! but id say try cheaper ones first.

Eye Shadow -Bourjois - Shimmering Shine Liquid Eyeshadow - all shades

i hate to be the only one who didn't like this, but i really didn't. i got it in gris platine (grey). i applied it to the corner of my lids in attempt to blend it in with the colour i had on already, Chanel's liquid eyeshadow in fountain (which blends with anything its brilliant) and this stuff stuck to it! i tried my hardest to blend it in but it just wouldn't budge. in the end i had to cover over it with black eyeshadow. i didnt even pay attention to how shimmery or metallic it looked, it didnt blend and that's more important to me, i use miss sporty liquid eyeshadow which is like £2.00 and that even blends. i might give it another go seeing as everyone else liked it and change my lippies if it gets better.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Black Tied Eye Shadow
leahluvspink 10/28/2008 7:24:00 AM
i actually really like this eyeshadow. i have always been on the look out for a very black eyeshadow and the pigment in this is the blackest i have found so far. i think that the colour is very build-able and i always get a very black finish to it. it looks very glittery in the pot but isn't over the top when its on. i got this in the airport and was pretty cheap i chose this over Chanel's latest one which was double the price, even tho i only sampled them both on the back of my hand this one seemed better for pigment and the price was great.
