Primer/ Corrector -Hourglass - Veil Mineral Primer SPF 15

I really like this primer. I've tried so many only to be disappointed by most. My skin is combination and clog prone. This doesn't clog my pores and it keeps my foundation fresh looking for at least 10 hours. It feels fantastic on the skin and doesn't have a strong fragrance. It is really expensive though so I've been purchasing the smaller size which lasts a couple of months or more. I'm thrilled to have finally found something that works for me!

Moisturizers -Korres - Quercetin and Oak Antiageing Antiwrinkle Day Cream Normal/Combination

I've been using this product for nearly 3 weeks. I really like it. I saw mild results right away. My makeup went on beautifully and stayed put all day. It's not a primer but works better than any primer I've used. It does provide moisture but not enough to make my face greasy. After 3 weeks, I'm starting to see a real change in my skin. Fine lines are softening and my overall texture and appearance is smoother and brighter. I think it may have even faded some old dark spots left by nasty blemishes. A stranger approached me to tell me that I have beautiful skin. That's a first. I will definitely repurchase!

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Sprunk-Jansen Spotless
rated 5 of 5

This is a wonderful spot treatment. It quickly calms inflammation without drying skin. A friend gave me a sample packet when I was battling a hormonal breakout. It reduced the swelling completely over night and definitely faded the dark spot left behind. I was so impressed that I ordered it online at Vitacost the next morning. I believe I paid $11 for 1.7 fl.oz. Sprunk-Jansen is a Danish company that provides a variety of natural remedies. This treatment has the consistency of a water-based lotion with a slight lemony smell. It's quickly absorbed into the skin and can be worn under makeup. I like the packaging. It's easy to dispense the product without waste or contamination. Because it spreads so thinly, I believe this tube will last me a very long time. I'm not one who believes that natural is always better but I do think it applies in this case. Being able to clear up a zit quickly without drying out my skin is a small miracle.

Cleansers -MD Forte - Facial Cleanser III
rated 5 of 5
lbgreeley 3/9/2010 6:18:00 PM

I truly love the results I've had since I started using this product 3 weeks ago. The surface of my skin is smoother, hyperpigmentation is fading, my pores seem to have vanished, and breakouts have been very minor and healed almost overnight. I don't use this as a cleanser per se. I follow the suggestions of other MUAers who apply to clean, dry skin and leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing it off. i wash my face with Ponds cleanser before I use MD Forte III. I had been using Peter Thomas Roth peel pads prior to using this so I dove right in and started with III. It doesn't seem harsh to me but may be too strong for glycolic acid newbies.

Cleansers -Ponds - Deep Cleanser Cold Cream

There isn't anything about this wonderful cleanser that hasn't been said already. It removes makeup gently and completely. It cleans out pores better than anything I've used so far. Within 3 weeks of use, every blackhead in my nose was gone. My only complaint is that I didn't find this sooner. There is no doubt that I'll be using this for a very long time. I apply it liberally, rub it around to loosen makeup and grime, and then rinse it off with a warm, wet washcloth.

Treatments -Aphogee - Two-Step Protein Treatment (formerly Treatment for Damaged Hair)

Wow! Honestly, this product lives up to it's great reviews. I color my hair frequently (red) and like to wear it long. I don't trim often enough so the ends are crispy and sometimes split. I used this product this morning and I'm amazed. I applied it as directed and I sat under the dome dryer for a half hour. I used the conditioner and then dried my hair. Amazing results! No more crispy ends! I will defnitely be using this regularly a day or two before I color my hair. The only negative is the odor. It's pretty shocking. The reviewer who described it as sewer is accurate. The smell does get better as the product dries. The results are so great that I'll put up with the putrid smell though. Edit: This is still fantastic in my opinion. It keeps my over-processed hair from breaking.

Hair Color -Clairol - Nice n' Easy -new formula

Excellent product! I only gave 4 lippies because I colored my hair yesterday and I'm not sure how quickly this color will fade. If it doesn't fade a lot, I'll add another lippie. I am impressed at the condition my hair seems to be in after coloring. It's usually a dry, tangly mess. It's soft and shiny today. It's so soft and silky that it slides out of the clip I use to keep it out of the way when I wash my face. I chose #110 which is a light auburn red. It's rich, even toned, and gorgeous. The end color is a near perfect match to the color on the box. I'd been spending over $30 on Fekkai hair color but think I'll switch to this if my hair doesn't turn into a fried mess in a couple of weeks.

Treatments -Peter Thomas Roth - Max Complexion Correction Pads
rated 3 of 5
lbgreeley 10/29/2009 10:32:00 PM

This is my HG daily peel. It's gentle but the results are amazing. I no longer have to use a lactic acid peel weekly. My skin is clear, pores are much less visible, and hyperpigmentation is fading. I only use the pad at night. I think using it twice a day would dry out my skin. I'm indifferent about the fragrance. It goes away when the product dries so who cares? It's a little pricey but the pads can be cut in half as someone else suggested. I've been using this for 3 months and I can't see myself ever not using it. Between these pads and my clarisonic, my face has made an amazing turn around. Edit: I dropped it down to 3 stars. This stopped working for me. I still believe it's a goodt product but may not be the right product for me.

Masks -Boscia - Clarifying Detox Mask
rated 4 of 5

I love this mask. I use it twice a week. It's gentle and makes my skin look and feel great. I can't use the Queen Helene mask. It's far too harsh and causes breakouts. This mask is expensive but worth every penny. It's also an excellent spot treatment.

I can't believe how long it took me to try this. My mother used to use it on me when I was a child but I hadn't used it in 30 years. I had a hard time believing that it wouldn't clog pores. It doesn't. The stuff is great. I put it over my moisurizer at night and wake up with soft, smooth skin. I'm hooked!

Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - Coloresse
rated 4 of 5
lbgreeley 2/3/2009 10:07:00 AM

I bought the product in the blue bottle for damaged hair. I got the shampoo, conditioner, leave-in conditioner and serum. I really like them all. My brittle hair responded very well to these products. I have no build up. My har is light, smooth, and a little shiny. It's NEVER shiny. I had a bad coloring experience a couple of years ago and my hair is still damaged. No product will correct it but this one seems to hide some of the damage. My only complaint is that the pump on the leave-in conditioner doesn't work. I'll take that back and exchange it for one that does. I'm generally disappointe with pumps on anything because they rarely work correctly and often waste product. I wll definitely repurchase. EDIT: Although I still believe that this is a very good shampoo, I've decided to try Pureology. After a couple of weeks this lost some of its moisturizing ability. My hair didn't stay as shiny as it was initially. EDIT #2: After trying Pureology and Keratase, I wouldn't buy this again. I think it's decent but doesn't compare to the other two.

Too greasy for me. I broke out. Hated the tube with wand. Didn't conceal anything. Couldn't give it away.

Powder -MAC - Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation
rated 2 of 5
lbgreeley 2/2/2009 6:33:00 PM

This is just an ok powder in my opinion. It doesn't control oil that well for me. It gets cakey and I believe it caused breakouts on my chin. Unfortunately, most MAC products have disappointed me. Won't buy again. I use EM now plus Coastal Scents Silica Spheres. No more oilies.

HG powder! I LOVE this stuff! It has far exceeded my expectations. I used it today for the first time on top of EM. No oilies! My chin is aways an oily mess after 3 hours but not today. I touched up once this evening just to make my face fresher but I wasn't oily. I may try it tomorrow as a primer as well as a finishing powder. The packaging isn't great but I'll transfer some of the product into a sifter and it will be just fine. This product is very inexpensive and will last forever. I think I paid $4.99 for it. No doubt that I will buy it again. Can't recommend it enough. UPDATE: Love the effect this has had on my skin. I use it as a primer under EM and I don't need to touch up at all during the day. Another great benefit is that it keeps my blush on all day. I look fresh 8 hours after makeup application. I honestly regret that it took me so long to use this. Without MUA, I would have never found it. Thanks!

Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'N Soft Mascara
rated 4 of 5

This is a very good mascara. It's inexpensive, has a nice brush that separates lashes well, and the liquid doesn't collect at the tip of the wand. It may not give you "WOW" dramatic lashes but it does make them thick and long and doesn't clump.
