Lip Treatments -Jack Black - Intense Therapy Lip Balm SPF 25 - Lemon & Chamomile
laydeexsav 7/14/2012 2:40:00 PM
I would say this is a HG lip balm for me. Though the price is a tad bit $$, I find myself repurchasing this whenever I run out. A SA at Sephora recommended this lip balm to me because I told her I had dry, chappy lips especially during the winter time. She told me this lip balm is geared more towards male consumers, but who cares. She uses it, I gave it a try, and I really like it too. =) It really hydrates my lips, makes my lips feel super soft, and I don't find myself having to reapply often. Just remember a little goes a long way so don't put too much on, or your lips will look super greasy. I also like the fact that it provides UVA/UVB protection. Out of all the scents, my favorite is the Lemon & Chamomile. Love this lip balm!

Makeup Brushes -Sigma - P80 Precision Flat
laydeexsav 7/14/2012 2:17:00 PM
I've had this brush for quite a while now and I must say that I am happy with this purchase. This is a small synthetic, dense, and flat brush. To me, it's a mini-me version of the F80 brush. It hasn't shed on me after washing this. I really like this brush from Sigma because it helps to conceal any blemishes I have. I just stipple on some concealer onto my imperfections, buff it out a bit, and yeay, I'm happy! Try this brush out. Hasn't disappointed me.

Makeup Brushes -Sigma - F82 Round Top Synthetic Kabuki

I love love love this brush! This brush is super dense, does not shed, and it applies my liquid foundation as well as mineral foundation so smoothly and evenly! It takes awhile for this brush to dry, but that doesn't really bother me because this is such a good quality brush. Well worth the purchase!

Eye Makeup Remover -Unlisted Brand - Target Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover
laydeexsav 7/14/2012 1:49:00 PM
This review is for the Up&Up eye makeup remover from Target. I love this product! It's a cheaper alternative to Neutrogena's eye makeup remover and it does the same thing. I find that it takes off my eye makeup really well, including waterproof eyeliners and mascaras. It also does not irritate my eyes at all. If you're on a budget, I would recommend that you give this a try because it works as well as high end eye makeup removers that I've tried. =)

Lip Treatments -eos - LE Strawberry Sorbet & Passionfruit 2-Pack
laydeexsav 7/14/2012 1:37:00 PM
I have this in Strawberry Sorbet and it's an ok lip balm. I find that it doesn't really nourish my lips and I have to reapply very often. The packaging is cute, and I like the smell, but I wouldn't repurchase this.

Styling Products -Kenra - platinum silkening gloss
laydeexsav 10/1/2010 3:41:00 PM
I just love this product! My hair stylist used this on my hair, and it made my hair look nice, shiny, and healthy looking. I bought one for myself, and use this product after I finish blow drying and straightening my hair. A little goes a long way, so don't use too much or your hair will just end up looking like an oily mess! It smells like strawberries to me, and I get alot of compliments on how my hair looks and smells. It's a bit pricey, but worth the splurge if you want nice looking hair!

Powder -Everyday Minerals - foundation semi-matte formula
laydeexsav 10/1/2010 3:27:00 PM
No, no, no! For all you oily, sensitive, acne-prone people out there, do not waste your money on this. I broke out after wearing this for just a week. This also accentuated my already large pores, and the lasting power sucked. After a few hours, it looked like I wasn't even wearing any foundation. What a waste of money...keep searching for a better mineral foundation.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Differin Gel
laydeexsav 10/1/2010 3:13:00 PM
I've been using Differin Gel 0.1% a little over a month now, and I am seeing promising results. My doctor told me that initially I would break out pretty bad, and in time and with persistent use, it will get better. Fortunately, I didn't break out too bad as others have stated, and I noticed that when I do get pimples, it clears up pretty fast. I was told to use this only at night and only on the affected areas, not on your entire face. So far so good, with a bit of flaky areas on my face, but a good moisturizer will help with that. You will also need a moisturizer that contains spf15 or spf30 to protect your sensitive skin, and to help your acne scarring to not darken even more due to the sun.
My face looks alot better, and some of my acne scarring has noticeably faded. This may or may not work for you because everyones skin reacts differently, but I definitely would recommend this to people suffering from acne. It's not a miracle worker, but it does help reduce the amount of breakouts, fades acne scarring (not the deeper ones), and people will notice your face looking better.

Lip Treatments -LUSH - Bubblegum Lip Scrub
laydeexsav 10/1/2010 2:16:00 PM
Love this lip scrub! Yes, it is on the pricey side, but let's be real, I really don't have time to make my own lip scrub, so this is perfect. Dry lips? This takes the dead skin off of your lips and this product makes your lips feel really soft and smooth after. The smell of bubblegum makes it even better! I like to use this lip scrub before I apply any lipstick because it makes my lips look much better and not look dry. Give it a try, you'll like it!

Skincare - Face -Clinique - Acne Solutions Line (all products)
laydeexsav 10/1/2010 1:19:00 PM
I think this is a good regimen for those who are battling with acne. Like most acne solutions, you really have to be committed to using the product before seeing results, and sometimes that means it could take up to 8 weeks. My sister had severe acne, and she was so depressed because NOTHING worked for her (and trust me, she has used every single product known to clear acne, from high end brands, to drug store brands, to prescription medications) and none worked for her until she tried Clinique's Acne Solutions. Within weeks, I swear her face got sooo much better, and a year later, her face is clear! Clearer than mine!
Seeing promising results from my sister, I decided to give it a try. I have been using Clinique's Acne Solutions Line for a year now, and I have seen a huge difference on how clear my skin has gotten. I wouldn't necessarily recommend buying the whole acne 3 step skin care, because I find that the Acne Solutions Cleansing Bar cleanses my face way better than the Acne Cleansing Foam. The only thing I don't use from this acne line is the Acne Solutions Clearing Moisturizer because it did more harm to my skin than good. I do use a prescription topical medication as a replacement and Clinique's Moisturizing Gel for Oily Skin. I find that this regimen works best for me.
Every single person's skin will react differently, that's why I recommend you trying this line out for yourself and stick with it. Hopefully, it'll work well for you as it has for me and my sister. Let me warn you, your face may get worse before it gets better so you'll need alot of self confidence and tell yourself you can get through this ugly stage. It'll also take alot of patience and commitment before seeing results. I hope I helped a few readers with this review, because believe me, I know how much it sucks to deal with acne. Give this acne solutions line a try, and see what works for you and what doesn't.

Eye Primer -Too Faced - Shadow Insurance, Anti-Crease Eye Shadow Primer
laydeexsav 9/18/2010 4:13:00 AM
I prefer this primer to Urban Decay's. Lasting power is great. I have oily eyelids and my eyeshadow literally stays put all day. It evens out the skin tone on my lids, and once it sets, the eyeshadows are easy to blend. The packaging is great too because it's more sanitary than primers that have a wand applicator. You don't need to put a whole glob of it on your eyelids or else it'll crease on you, so I suggest putting a tiny bit and you're eyeshadows will stay put throughout the day. This will last you a long time, so it's worth the $18. I love it!

Polishes -Sephora - Sephora by OPI Metro Chic in Matte
laydeexsav 9/18/2010 3:50:00 AM
Color: It's ok. The matte version looks like you've been playing with clay the whole day. If you happen to have mistakenly bought the matte version, like ME, I'd advise you to put on a top coat to make it look glossy. Lasting power: Eh. It chipped on me within 24 hours. If you go on YouTube, plenty of makeup gurus share good dupes for this color. Don't waste your money on this one. It really isn't all that.

Masks -Clinique - Acne Solutions Oil Control Cleansing Mask
laydeexsav 9/10/2010 12:33:00 AM
I haven't really seen a change in my oily skin using this product. Yes, it makes your face feel nice and tight right after you wash it off, however it has done nothing to control my oily skin. Try finding an alternative instead of wasting your money on this product. With that said.... I was watching Dr. Oz show, and he recommended trying Milk of Magnesia (NOT the flavor ones) as a mask for oily skin. I personally haven't tried it myself, but just wanted to share that information for those of you who are on a budget.

Eye Shadow -NYX - Jumbo Eye Shadow Pencil - Milk
laydeexsav 8/23/2010 12:54:00 AM
Creases like crazy! All of the NYX Jumbo Eye Shadow Pencils crease like crazy even with UDPP! What is all the hype about? Even though it's cheap, please do not buy them. It's a waste of money.
