Lotions/ Creams -Supre - Hempz Herbal Moisturizer
rated 5 of 5

I've loved this lotion for years! But now I can finally feel ok with buying it. When I first found it, it was 40 dollars at hair & tanning salons. Now I buy it at TJ Maxx and Marshall's for 12. I always buy 2 or 3 bottles at time. I love it. It leaves my skin feeling richly moisturized with out a greasy layer of some super moisturizing lotions. It makes my skin feel very smooth and soft in a healthy way not in an overly lotioned up way. I can use it on my hands without worrying about leaving greasy fingerprints everywhere. It is one of the few lotions that doesn't make my freshly shaved legs burn. I really like the smell. It's a clean smell thats a little herbal/nature-y. It's a scent that the men in my house don't mind using. Actually, they love it.

Masks -Freeman - Dead Sea Minerals Facial Anti-Stress Mask
rated 5 of 5
laurxrawr 12/27/2012 12:48:00 AM

I've been a loyal Queen Helene user for about a decade. So it definitely took some pushing to get me to switch brands. I've used the single use Freeman masques before and thought they were alright. But once I read the reviews for this one I was sold. I LOVE the Sea Minerals masque. It's really hard to not use it every single day. It smells great and the color is so fun- not so embarrassed to use it with my S/O. It works and it works fast. I usually leave other masques on for 30-45 minutes to feel/see results (and drying of the clay). This works in 10 minutes. This is one of the only masques that does not leave my face very red immediately after while still dealing with oil. Thats great because I can use it in the morning. It tightens my pores and controls my oily t-zone. I really can't say enough about how excellent this masque is! Try it !

Eyeliner -L.A. Colors - Auto Eyeliner In Black
rated 3 of 5
laurxrawr 12/27/2012 12:41:00 AM

It's hard to be too disappointed having only spent 1.39 on this. It's an okay eyeliner. I ran out of my go to Neutrogena Automatic Grey liner and needed something fast before I went to a holiday party. The application was very smooth. The point was the perfect size for an automatic liner. The color was a true black without particles of glitter or shine. However, once I applied the liner to both lids and turned back to my makeup counter to pick up my shadow the liner had already settled into my crease. It did so in the way an overly oily liner would. This was more disappointing considering I had Too Faced Shadow Insurance under. I fixed the smudging and tried to let it dry without much luck. I put an Urban Decay shadow on top and it stayed for the rest of the day without migrating. The smudging isn't really that big of an issue considering I always have shadow on top of my liner but it does make me reluctant to wear it during warmer weather. Another problem with this is the actual cosmetic isn't snug in the applicator. Meaning the stick of liner can wiggle around a bit during application, which is a bit irritating when you're trying to create a fine line. Overall, not the worst liner by any standards. I definitely will not throw away- keep around for touch ups or back up.

Skincare - Body -Johnson & Johnson - Gel Baby Oil
rated 5 of 5
laurxrawr 7/20/2011 10:17:00 AM

Such a great find! I noticed J&J products were on sale and was intrigued by this product. I grabbed the Shea Butter one figuring how bad could it be? Very very satisfied with this purchase! It is so moisturizing. I feel as though it just locks in every last drop of moisture. I use it directly after a shower. I use a small amount not enough to make my legs feel slick or look shiny. Then I layer a lotion on top of it- I like St Ives Whipped Silk since its pretty thin. I do this so I don't have oil slick legs. My legs feel soft and silky for ever! If I didn't take a shower everyday I'm sure it would last a few days. I use this under my eyes occasionally too! It makes that area look and feel smooth, bright and awakened. Baby Oil Gell cures dry rough spots easily- just one application. Its helping a lot with my sunburned legs currently. I have also used it on my feet and toes for a cuticle oil. I always hated regular Baby Oil but love this! My skin doesn't look or feel as good if I use anything but this.

Moisturizers -Clean & Clear - Oil-Free Dual Action Moisturizer
rated 2 of 5

I really wanted to love this product. It used to work for me when I was thirteen. I went through 2 of them when I was 13-14. I tried it again when my skin started acting up terribly in college. A girl who lived down the hall from me said it was working wonders for her. But it was a fail for me. It caused me to break out so bad. Everyday I would wake up with little pimples. At first I thought it was my skin purging. But then I got my skin into decent condition using another product and had to use this for two nights because I misplaced my other moisturizer. My face broke out hella bad! I love the finish this moisturizer gives my skin its perfect for putting makeup over. I wish it didn't make me breakout. I have resorted to using the rest of it on my chest, knees and other dry spots- it very gently exfoliates those rough spots.

Cleansers -Eucerin - Redness Relief Soothing Cleanser
rated 4 of 5
laurxrawr 12/30/2010 2:29:00 PM

This has become one of my favorite cleansers. I will say that this doesn't remove makeup well at all. But I use wipes or albolene to take my makeup off anyways. I started using this at the end of the summer when I had to wash my face several times a day because of sports. It didn't strip my skin. I almost always use it with the scrublet from loreal 360. It helps me get a super deep clean without making my skin flaky. I don't have super dry skin but I do have sensitive skin. I never experience burning or irritation from this cleanser. I do have acne and have not broken out from this product- if anything it is significantly better than acne cleansers for my skin. Its a pretty thick cleanser so I'm not sure if this will be great for the dead center for summer. I will definitely purchase again after I run out.

Treatments -Almay - Pore Minimizer
rated 3 of 5

Does not work as a pore minimizer. But it is an excellent makeup primer. This is one of my favorite primers! I purchased it after it was discontinued at cosmetic warehouse. It left my skin super smooth and helped on hot, humid days.

Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Vanilla Lip Smacker
rated 5 of 5
laurxrawr 12/30/2010 2:15:00 PM

Got this in a cute holiday set with cookie dough and cookies n creme. It really moisturizes well. Although I do think it tastes great, I'm more concerned with how it conditions my lips because I am a lip balm addict. It leaves a shine but not at all glossy. One application lasts a while.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Insta-Dry Fast Dry Nail Color
rated 4 of 5
laurxrawr 12/30/2010 2:12:00 PM

I've already written reviews for three shades of Insta-Drys. This review is for two of the polishes in the Holiday collection 1-Silver Sweep Really metallic. Some silvers are too sheer or glittery- not this one. It really stands out against skin. Its probably not a shade I would wear a whole lot but I do like it quite a bit. I haven't got a bad thing to say about this. I wore this and did a polka dot design with white and silver glitter dots and received many compliments. 2- Ruby Rocket I adore Ruby Rocket. Its my go to pedicure color. I was expecting it to be a little more in your face red like Big Apple or Retro Red. The bottle is deceiving. But after two coats its a deep intense red which I like because sometimes in your face red looks a little tacky. Its a really shiny hard finish and dries fast enough- same with all of the Insta Drys. I purchased this about a month ago and have had it on for a majority of that time.

Conditioner -Dove - Daily Treatment Conditioner, Intensive Repair
rated 4 of 5
laurxrawr 12/30/2010 2:03:00 PM

I have a feeling this will end up being a holy grail product for me. I came home from college not having a haircut since before the semester began meaning my hair was quite dry, full of split ends and extremely unruly. I saw that Dove haircare was on sale for 2/6USD. I searched the reviews and Intensive Repair sounded pretty good. The first time I used it I left it on for about two minutes considering the state of my hair. The results were fantastic. I didn't need to use a detangler after my shower. I could run my fingers through my hair easily. My hair was a lot smoother. I used the same hair products as always and I noticed it dried with less frizz or unruly-ness. I have been using this everyday since I got it about two weeks ago. I don't leave it on for a minute. I use it as you would a regular conditioner. Its amazing. Its keeping my hair in excellent condition ( I have since gotten a hair cut) The smell is great. I love tube packaging as opposed to hard plastic bottles. A downside is that it is a little difficult to rinse out. You really have to let the water run over your hair for a while or else your hair looks really greasy. This is definitely not for everyone! I have long, medium brown, medium thickness wavy hair. I have to wash my hair everyday(athlete) and the winter destroys hair hair along with the fact that I can't get haircuts too frequently So I need something that will really condition my hair. If you're in a similar situation, then I'd highly recommend it!

Styling Products -Got 2 Be - Styltini instant tolerance 24 hour anti humidity smoothing spray
rated 4 of 5
laurxrawr 8/9/2010 12:34:00 PM

love it! it really works well with humidity. I put this near my roots on the side of my head where I get a little sweaty during the summer and its perfection. It really holds my style. Its not crunch unless you spray within 4 inches of your hair. It smells pretty good- really fruity not like garnier though.

Polishes -Rimmel - Lasting Finish Pro Enamel all shades, new square bottle
rated 4 of 5
laurxrawr 8/9/2010 12:25:00 PM

I bought the steel grey and stiletto red. I love both colors but it takes about three coats to get the maximum impact. They dry relatively fast and hard. I felt like the Stiletto red chipped way faster than the grey. It was coming off in layers I don't think it had anything to do with my topcoat or base. I love the bottles- they are really cute and easy to handle. The red was definitely a red apple red- slightly retro. Personally I go for the darker colors so its not really my style but it was nice to switch it up. The steel grey was more of a taupe. I love it. I stick to dark polishes but black can get boring. Its a really versatile polish- totally reccomend it.

My dad swears by these. I have used them on my legs and underarms with amazing results. Best shave ever. But I do not buy them for myself because they are so darn expensive.

Styling Products -Sexy Hair Concepts - Smooth and Seal Aerated Anti Frizz Spray
rated 4 of 5
laurxrawr 8/3/2010 1:15:00 PM

Buying this was a total accident. I meant to grab a travel sized super hold hairspray to take on vacation with me. I was a little miffed since this did nothing for my hair at the time But once I got home, read the directions and tried it I adored it. At the time I was straightening my hair with a flat iron once it was air dried (usually I just went to bed with wet hair and straightened in the AM) I would spray this after I was done straightening then run the blowdryer over my hair. AMAZING. My hair was sooooooo soft and shiny. I got a lot of compliments on it. Even my dad and hair stylist noticed. It really sealed in my straightened hair too. Sometimes my hair will get a little wave to it by the end of the day, not with this. By the end of the day my hair still looked pretty much the same. I think a lot of people are probably just spraying this on and going out the door- It will not work that way. Trust me I have tried it. The blow dryer is crucial.

Eye Shadow -Milani - Runway Eyes Fashion Shadows - Backstage Basics
rated 5 of 5
laurxrawr 8/3/2010 1:07:00 PM

Can't believe I'm only the second reviewer! Definitely thought these would have gained more traction. This is your basic grey/black smokey eyes palette. Personally I prefer a nudes with grey smokey eye. These are really pigmented. Milani makes some awesome, hella pigmented products. They blend really easily once you actually get the shadow on your brush which can be a hassle sometimes. The packaging is awkward. The strips are annoying and I really have no idea why Milani did this other than to look cool. I'm always scared this will break because they shadows are elevated from the actual packaging. I have tried a few looks using only these shadows. Its not really my thing like I said above I prefer a nude/grey look. But I do reach for this plenty. Overall I really dislike drugstore shadows and after a few subpar experiences I swore them off. Then I stumbled across this gem and was delighted. I would totally recommend this. I would without a doubt buy another milani shadow. These are probably the only drugstore shadows I will buy.
