Eye Shadow -NYX - Nyx Trio Eyeshadow Palette Aloha/Mink Brown/Deep Bronze (TS 15)

After having my favourite light beige eyeshadow by Lise Watier break, I looked to NYX for a new one. This was my first purchase from NYX, and I thought the colours looked very pretty and safe for me, since I'm in highschool and everything. The packaging was a bit hard to open, but it wasn't that big of a problem. They are all frosty colours which I don't mind, but I do generally like the brown colour to be more matte. The pigment was okay but I found that Aloha and Mink Brown looked kind of the same. I am pleased with the product but it's not phenomenal.

Lip Gloss -Cover Girl - Wetslicks Fruit Spritzers - Guava Splash

This is a pretty good gloss. It gives nice colour and I like that is doesn't taste terrible, which some drugstore lip glosses do. It tastes sort of sweet and nectar-like. I have this in Guava and Watermelon. Guava is a nice baby pink that's almost clear, and Watermelon's a sheer red. A con is that on my watermelon, if it gets squeezed in my purse it squeezes out inside the cap so when I open it I'm greeted by a ton of gloss piled on the top!

Treatments -Biore - Pore Cleansing Strips - Nose

I love these! I don't really suffer from pimples, the only thing that bugs me is blackheads on my nose! I use these every two weeks because they are expensive and they remove all the grossness. I recommend taking a hot shower before to open up your pores, so more come out. I took one lippie off because of the price, but they last quite awhile for me because I don't use them that often.

Toners -Clinique - Clarifying Lotion #1

I really like this toner, it doesn't dry me out because my skin's kind of oily. It treats all my pimples and I like that it is alcohol-y, because I don't like mild toners because my face doesn't feel clean enough. A flip up cap would have been nice, but the bottle is good quality. This toner lasted me like six months sing a little bit on a cotton pad every day. I would recommend this.

Liquid -Rimmel - Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation

I really like this foundation because being in highschool, I have P.E. class some days and I just hate it when my foundation (even though I use barely any!) feels all gross and sweaty. This is sweatproof and feels pretty light. It covers my flaws and I don't have to paint my face with it for it to work, which is good. A flip top cap would have been nice, but that's a little thing. This foundation does have a lot of warm undertones in every shade, so it makes my look glowy without looking fake. It did make my skin break out a little bit, but it went away now. :)

Palettes -Bobbi Brown - Burnt Sugar Metallics

I got this one for free, which I am glad because it's very expensive! Price aside, I really like this palette. Despite a lot of negative reviews, I find this palette good for everyday when used in moderation. I normally use the lightest shade on my lid with the medium more sparkly brown in the crease very lightly and then a faint bit of the darkest in my outer corners. The shadows are obviously very high quality and pigmented, but a brush would have been nice, especially with the price!

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Xtreme Wear in Strobe Light

I love this polish! The base is sheer but it is filled with millions of beautiful glitters! When layered the polish looks like it has a pinky base, and I did four coats to make the polish almost opaque. When applied it looks like rainbows on your nails! Perfect for the hoilidays. This glitter is also pretty finely milled so it's not terribly chunky. I put a top coat over it to make is less rough. This colour is so beautiful and I love the Xtreme wear line, I will definitely buy again, and this is my nail polish for the holidays as my dress i'm wearing for christmas is the same nude pink undertone as this polish.

Samples -Sephora - BI Beautiful Eyes Birthday Gift (mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow)

I got this in October for my birthday. It comes with a mini eyeshadow, a mini mascara and a mini eyeliner. You don't have to buy anything to get this, I just went in and they asked for my Beauty Insider card and they gave it to me. The mascara- this is a alright mascara. It's kind of awkward to use because the wand and bottle's so tiny. It lengthens more than volumizes, but it's nice to pop in your purse. The eyeshadow- it's a white colour that I thought would be a good highlight, but it's not very pigmented and is sort of sheer. If I want to do very simple makeup sometimes I'll put it as a light wash over my lid, but it's not spectacular. The eyeliner- this is a very odd eyeliner colour, and I can;t make it show up on my waterline. I have blue eyes so this does look nice lightly on my lower lashline or sometimes on my top too. Overall, this is a nice kit and since it's free i really can't complain. :)

Eyes -Smashbox - Eyelights, "Beam"

I got this product free from my aunt who bought it and never used it because it was too shimmery. Score! :D Anyways, I really like this palette. It is a bit pricey and i probably wouldn't buy it again just because of the price. But it makes a great natural look! I put the rosy pink brown on my lid, the brown on my crease, then use the white as a highlight. It comes with a crappy double ended sponge tip applicator with a angled brush on the other side. I just pop a mini eyeshadow brush in my purse with it. Very compact. One thing I don't like is that the matte packaging gets super dirty very easily and it looks bad. But, the colours are very rich and pigmented. There is some fallout though.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Fusion

This is a pretty good drugstore mascara, I find it gives more volume than length. I had been only using Benefit Bad Gal's mascara but since I am only 13 and not making much money I wanted something a bit cheaper. This works well, but I can't compare it to a higher end mascara. i like the chunky bottle but the brush is a bit awkward. It's easier with practice though.

I really like this product. I have oily hair that is very thick and gets frizzy easily. I find it comparable to John Freida's Frizz-ease Secret Weapon. i like this because you can put it in dry hair to to tame it and give it a nice finish. It also works in damp hair to detangle. This does make my hair greasy if I put too much in my dry hair, but used in moderation I love it. I got it for 3.99 CAN on sale so the price is awesome. I also love the packaging and the girly charm, so cute! I really like this and would buy it again.
