Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Ego QV Face Moisturising Cream SPF30
lauramvig 9/25/2012 3:00:00 AM
Best day cream/suncreen I've ever used. And I've tried so many... Between $5 and (once) $80. Ego's sunscreen is light and non-greasy, yet it moisturises enough for the whole day. I have combination/oily skin and I can wear this under makeup with no problems. And it's CHEAP! That's what everyone wants to hear. Ego is an Australian brand, so you know their sunscreens are formulated for intense sun exposure.

Gels/Soaps -Dr. Bronner's - Baby-Mild Unscented Liquid Soap
lauramvig 10/13/2011 1:16:00 AM
Love this as a face wash! It works fantastically to remove makeup in the evenings. I don't dilute this one usually but I use it on a wet facial brush so I suppose that is slightly diluting it. It's cleared up my skin and I can use it around my eyes with no troubles, unlike the peppermint or tea tree, neither of which I use for my face on a regular basis. (Good shampoo and body washes though) Again though, my gripe with Bronner's is the labelling! The religious rantings. I need to go buy some pretty bottles to empty them into.

Skincare - Body -Dr. Bronner's - Lavender Liquid Soap

I found out by using this product that I am allergic to lavendar oil. Using this diluted, my face and body broke out in a painful rash. I love the peppermint, tea tree and the baby-mild Bronner's though and have had no issues using those. I'm trying to use this up by washing the floors with it but I don't even know if I want to smell the lavendar.

Toners -LUSH - Tea Tree Water
lauramvig 9/1/2011 7:37:00 PM
This is, so far, the ONLY Lush product I've liked. Which is a shame, because so many of their products are vegan. I keep this in my handbag to spray on my face throughout the day, or to remove my makeup to reapply if I go out straight from work in the evenings. I wouldn't use it as a toner every day, I do sometimes, but it's usually more of a refresher spray for me. Either way, love it.

Gels/Soaps -Dr. Bronner's - Peppermint Castille Soap

I bought the tiny sample size of this first for AUD$2.50, because my skin has been freaking out lately so I wanted to be sure this would be OK. I have extremely irritated skin, it is flaky, dry and requires a lot of TLC. I usually use all Aesop and Dermalogica products because I find they seem to calm my face down a bit, but lately my cleanser (Aesop purifying cream cleanser) just doesn't seem to get all my makeup off. I used a tiny drop and lathered it up with a heap of water before putting it on my face. It feels really cooling and I think it calmed down some of the redness. I've only used it twice, but I think when I finish this bottle, if my skin is still loving it, I will probably repurchase a large size. I used it once on my Dermalogica exfoliating brush and it still didn't further irritate my skin. No more hideous flakes and a lot less redness. I definitely think I would only use this in the evenings, though. It will probably be too drying for me in the morning. Will try as a body wash next. Don't think I will use this in my hair though, as mine is coloured. Absolutely HATE the bottle. I am tempted to rip the label off.

This is just OK... Nothing special. I don't use the wax because it makes my eyebrows look weird.

I've already bought two of these. Wonderful product. Not sticky or heavy, yet very moisturising.

I hate the packaging, but this is the best undereye concealer ever. I wish everything I loved wasn't ridiculously expensive though.

Liquid -Chanel - Vitalumiere Aqua

Hated this the most out of all the Chanel foundations. So drying and patchy looking and I was poorly colour matched. No chance I'd buy this again, I'm not even sure how to get rid of the bottle I have. I tried giving it to my sister but she hated it too.

This looked nice for about 15 minutes, but it felt so tacky and doesn't last long. Not the biggest fan, it looks light but sort of feels heavy on your face, like MAC face and body. It might be good for mature skin, but not for young skin.

Liquid -Chanel - Mat Lumiere Long Lasting Luminous Matte Fluid Makeup SPF 15

Probably the only Chanel foundation I liked, but they have a terrible issue with colour range. Unless your skin is peachy pink and medium toned, you're unlikely to find a colour match.

This is so hyped up, but I hated it! It never sets, the colour selection sucks and I just think it accentuates every single dry patch on your face. Yuck.

Granted, I didn't buy this. I just tried it on at the counter and left it for the day. Very glad I didn't buy it. It's SO ORANGE! Gross.

I love this stuff. Very expensive in Australia, but still. Worth it. I also love the refillable packaging.

I actually thought this was pretty amazing, (great coverage, good colours and light feeling) but not amazing enough for me to pay $80 for it again. Massive rip-off.
