I love this perfume! I was looking for a new perfume since my fav L'occitane Honey Gentle Water was discontinued. It really does smell like orange trees in bloom and honeysuckle. I didn't give it a 5 because of the price- $65 for 1 oz. It doesn't last long either, but that's good since I don't get a headache from it.
Love this nail polish! The pink color is perfect, its the color that I had wished Chanel's flamingo nail polish had been. Its slightly darker. I think pinks tend to be boring in general, but this was worth the price tag. I would buy this polish again but I don't think I'm going to run out of it any time soon.
Lip Treatments -Murad - Murad Energizing Pomegranate Lip Therapy SPF 15

I received this lip gloss as part of a set, with a sunblock and reusable tote, so I'm not sure what the price is normally. I like the color, which makes my lips just a little pinker, and it is glossy without being sticky. My complaint is that it doesn't moisturize my lips. After a day of using it, my lips have dry, peely skin, which doesn't happen while using chap-stick. The squeeze container is useful, and lets you see how much is left.
So I bought this product because I was looking for something to cover my dark under-eye circles, and I read the good reviews. Its a good product, but not a miracle by any means. I have this in ochre, which matches my skin well, but my complaint is that if I don't use powder to set it, it runs down my face. If I do use powder, it looks cakey and settles in the lines under my eyes. That said, it last longer than most concealers, not as long as Lancome effacernes, but the color match is better.
Highlighters -Bobbi Brown - Shimmer Brick Compact Copper Diamond

I love this highlighter! I have yellowish undertones to my skin, and this product gives my skin a subtle glow, nothing extreme. It is expensive, but its LE so I went ahead and bought a spare because I loved it so much! I've used it daily for about 2m and I've barely made a dent in it. I use the face blender brush to apply it. I do think the size of the compact could be much smaller for the amount of product inside. The mirror is great though.
Moisturizers -Bobbi Brown - Extra SPF 25 Moisturizing Balm

Overall, I love this product, I just wish it wasn't so expensive! Its 85$ for 1.7 oz. This is the best moisturizing sunscreen I've ever used. When I apply it in the am, I don't have any dry, flaky skin till the evening. It does have an odd medicinal smell that goes away after several seconds. I have very sensitive skin and this has not broken me out. I have repurchased it once.
Misc Beauty Tools -Cle de Peau - Le Coton-cotton pads

I got a sample of these from Neiman Marcus and love them! They are so gentle on my skin and work well with my l'oreal eye makeup remover. Unfortunately, they are way too expensive compared to drugstore cotton balls so I'd never purchase them.
Mascara -Christian Dior - DiorShow Mascara Waterproof

I use this in the color black. Overall, I like it but my complaint is that it is much harder to take off than other waterproof mascaras I've used. I think it separates and lengthens my lashes, but it doesn't do much for volume. I have repurchased it once.
I really like this moisturizer because it doesn't feel oily and it doesn't bother my sensitive skin. I have an oily forehead and dry skin around my mouth. I also use DDF ultra lite moisturizer for more oily areas, but when I've used this in the oiler areas it hasn't broken me out. I use in the morning and night. I don't like that the packaging is a jar.
Ugh so I bought this item because I had seen the commercials, and they had it at Walgreens. Its a waste of $10. It doesn't work on dry skin and I couldn't see a difference on my feet. Any of the other drugstore brands I've used have been much better, and less complicated.
I love the smell of this and it gives my skin a nice glow. It doesn't feel greasy and it doesn't make me break out(rare). But, this product is way too expensive for what it is. I found some sample packets on ebay that end up being cheaper, and I would not buy this at full price.
So I've been looking for a concealer for awhile and saw this one was highly rated, and gave it a try. I only use concealer for my under-eye circles, and this one is so opaque they're almost gone! I had been using bare minerals, but that one creased and lets face it, carrying a brush and loose powder is not convenient. The latest other concealer I tried was smashbox camera ready concealer, which, even though it is listed as full coverage, doesn't cover much and absolutely disappeared w/in an hr or faster if I went outside. This Lancome concealer stays put, though it does crease in the little wrinkles under my eyes (why I gave it 4 lippies). The waterproof part is true- no prob. in 114 weather! I prefer not having to use make-up remover at night, but for this its worth it. Price is alright, I bought it cheaper on ebay.
This review is for the Certain Dri Solid Version- I found it at walgreens and couldn't be happier. Its a good price, $6. Also, with this solid version theres no dripping during application. I already am sweating less, and in 105* weather that says a lot. The stick is white, and dried clear almost instantly- I didn't have problems with this staining my clothes. I did not have of the stinging that others have described, I don't know if its because its the solid version or just the amount I used. I wish I had found this earlier! I used to use Degree Ultra Clear, because it had worked great, but over the last yr it seems like to it stopped working as well so I needed something better. I'm so happy I found this! update- it was 112 today and its still working :)
This product has been good- It does leave my face smoother and brighter after using it. It's not a miracle product, but it has helped in removing some bumps that my smashbox primer left me (thanks smashbox!) It is gentle on my skin and it has a nice fragrance. The pump is airtight and has a little cover and a lid, so I haven't had any gunky, wasted product.
Cleansers -Ren - Calendula and arctic blackcurrant seed cleansing milk- sensitive
lauraaz 6/16/2008 7:29:00 PM
This product is great! It doesn't aggravate my sensitive skin and didn't break my face out like the proactiv cleanser. The price is a bit high though. The product smells nice and doesn't dry out my skin. It also doesn't hurt if it gets in my eyes while I'm washing my face. I'm on my second bottle and will def. keep repurchasing.
