Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - H2O Proof Liquid Eyeliner
laundromat 2/15/2012 6:35:00 PM
First off, very sleek packaging! Little pot w/ an extra long, tapered cap. PROS: - color is glossy and rich - absolutely waterproof! - sharp and precise brush - doesn't flake or fade - can't beat the price CONS: - transfers/bleeds a tiny bit. It gets on my lashes and needs to be combed through sometimes - because it is truly H2O proof, can be hard to take off. Most removers and cloths will have a hard time, you'll need an oil based product. I use EVOO. I think I'll definitely repurchase, I really like the brush, color, and lasting ability. Would be rated a 5 if it didn't transfer.
I'm guessing this was an LE holiday pallette, since it was in a glittery silver box. I bought this at Target on clearance for $2. PROS: - shadows are SO pigmented! Every single one! - great shades: two champagne-y, one silvery pink, one mauve, one silver, and one black. - nice amount of shimmer (The black shade may be more glittery than shimmery to some) CONS: - Horrible, cheap pallette!! After just a few hours the mirror fell out (it was held by TAPE), and one the screws is loose. -- A little hard to open at first. The lid is very stiff. I'd probably buy again, the price was right!
Primer/ Corrector -ModelCo - Fase Base - Skin Primer
laundromat 12/25/2011 6:44:00 PM
LOVE this primer! I purchased it at TJ Maxx, so I got quite the deal judging from those amazon links at right. This is everything I've wanted in a primer and never could find- until now. Most importantly, it doesn't break me out like all other primers I've tried. It's a very moisturizing primer, which is great.(It just glides on like buttah! A little goes a loooong way, FYI) With this and a setting spray, I'm truly set all day. Awesome! I'd definitely try and find one in a TJ or Marshall's before ordering elsewhere...but honestly? I'd pay full price if I had to. It's worth it.
Other -Vaseline - Petroleum Jelly with cocoa butter
laundromat 10/24/2011 1:47:00 AM
I love this so much more than regular Vaseline. It's not as thick and goopy as the original, for one thing. It has a light cocoa butter scent to it, but it's not overpowering. I have a cold right now, and I've been smearing this all over my lips and the bottom of my nose. It's really been helping with keeping my nose from peeling and my lips from getting too chapped. I actually scoop this into a small balm jar to keep in my purse. Cheap and great!
This is a good, everyday hand lotion to keep in your purse. It's lightweight and not greasy, and leaves your hands feeling amazing. I got the one in the teal color, and the smell is one thing I'm not too fond of. It's pretty strong, almost perfume-y...it kind of reminds me of an old Gap scent that used to be popular a decade or so ago. I guess it's growing on me, because I'll probably be repurchasing.
Conditioner -Suave - Professionals Almond & Shea Butter
laundromat 10/24/2011 1:13:00 AM
Suave has really been upping their game lately. I'm in love with their pro hairspray, anti-frizz cream, and the Almond & Shea Butter shampoo and conditioner. It takes a truly phenomenal product for me to repurchase, and I will definitely be doing so with this conditioner. It smooths my hair, leaves it shiny and manageable, and leaves a yummy scent. When I want deeper conditioning, like you'd get with a mask, I just repeat. It's great stuff!
I've been using this for years, tube after tube. It's a nice, soft nude gloss with a sweet coffee smell and taste. I don't find it to have a frosty tint, like the previous reviewer said. The only thing I don't like is the fact that not very much comes out on the applicator. So you need to do at least 3 dips into the tube. Or is that just me? Haha.
Beautiful color! I've been looking for a pretty gray color, and this is awesome. I've never had good luck with quick dry polishes- so I wasn't really expecting much. Surprisingly, this works pretty well! I'm sure it has a lot to do with my base and topcoat, but I went a full 5 days without any chips. I will definitely repurchase, as I can see this shade getting a lot of use this fall/winter!
I picked this up in the little travel size tube. It's great! It's been doing a pretty great job at keeping my acne at bay, and the little granules in it have been keeping my face extra soft. I find the regular scrub is much too harsh, but this one is gentle. Definitely going back to get a full size.
Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Aquafina Flavor Splash Lip Balm
laundromat 10/2/2011 11:28:00 PM
I purchased this at the Dollar Tree, in the Wild Berry flavor. Very impressed, actually. I remember trying the Aquafina line a few years ago thinking it just so-so. This has jojoba oil, almond oil, and vitamin E- very nice! I actually think it lasts for quite awhile, and doesn't leave your lips feeling parched like some balms do after they've worn off. This leaves just nice, supple lips. I'm going back to get the other flavor and try the hydrating oil version, too.
This stuff is great! Bought it on a whim since it was so cheap, and am glad I did! I find it does a great job at absorbing oil and leaves a cleaner feel to the hair. I used to use Psssst, but the terrible smell made me swear it off for good. The Suave one still does have a scent, but it's lighter- and they added a citrusy sort of scent that makes it more appealing. Will definitely be repurchasing!
Primer/ Corrector -Unlisted Brand - Monistat - Chafing Relief Powder-Gel
laundromat 8/29/2011 7:54:00 PM
I was really impressed with how this worked as a primer, having been a little gun shy since it's for chafing. HOWEVER. This gave me the worst breakout of my entire life. I used it one day and noticed a few small pimples when I took off my makeup that night, but didn't think much of it. Just a normal breakout. I used it the next day, and by the time I took off my makeup that night-TOTAL eruption that got even worse by morning. Man, did those things hurt. So I stopped using it, and viola! Back to normal within 2 days. Bummed, and still on the hunt for the perfect primer...
Treatments -John Frieda - Full Repair Perfect Ends Sheer Mist
laundromat 8/29/2011 7:43:00 PM
I had a coupon for $5.00 off a product in the new Full Repair line, so I decided to try this. It's pretty "meh", in my opinion. I'll second the other review that said this can make your hair look oily and dull, and I haven't noticed any real difference in my ends. That said, the scent of this stuff is amazing! I'd probably repurchase it again just for that, to be honest. The smell lasts, and I like that part. Reminds me of a certain perfume, but I can't figure out which one!
I've been using Elnett for awhile, but it does get expensive to for everyday use and I absolutely cannot stand the smell. So, I thought I'd give this a go, seeing as how it's so cheap. I'm really loving it!! The mist is super fine so you can apply a second (or 3rd! guilty!) coat if you need to, and it won't get that tacky feeling or the helmut look. The other thing is, it smells AWESOME! It's a really light fruity smell, not overpowering at all to me. Will most definitely be repurchasing this product.
I have this G20 (Dolce Nude). I wanted to see how this would compare to Viva Glam Gaga 2, and I'd say it's about two shades darker than Gaga 2. It's probably one the top moisturizing lipsticks I've ever owned- my lips feel AMAZING when I have this on. It is sheer, so you do have to layer it for maximum color.
