I don't hate this but I don't especially like it either. Reminds me of Burberry Brit. It does last pretty long.
This palette is simply lovely. I adore Kitten. I think it is so flattering for a natural sparkle. I posted my picture up top. I still have to try the crease and liner colors. I will edit the review later.
Of all the mascaras in my make-up bag, this is the one I keep reaching for. It makes my lashes dark and voluminous... not really like falsies but hey I like what I see. I apply two coats, any more leads to clumps. I am enjoying Falsies for the time being. Probably won't purchase again.
This primer really works well for my oily/dry/combo/acne prone skin. It locks in my foundation, powder and blush so well and it looks good for hours. I use about three pumps. It makes my skin feel great. Will probably repurchase.
This is my new go-to foundation for my acne-prone skin. I've been applying it with my fingers and getting a nice medium coverage. I have to experiment with a brush and a sponge to see if I can get it to fuller coverage. I believe my shade is Fresh Alabaster and it is very close to my complexion which I love. I have been using it over Smashbox Photo finish Light Primer for oil control and that's been working well for very long lasting results.
I went up to the MAC counter one day to ask the girl, "how do all of you MAC girls get your eyeshadow to stay on all day? It looks like you just put it on and you've probably had it on for hours." The MA replied, "it's the base." I was shown Painterly. I have been hooked ever since. I use it as a base for any eyeshadow I have and love that doesn't have staying power especially my matte colors. This p/p does the trick of making any e/s stay on all day until I take it off at night. I would definitely purchase again although I'd like to try out some other colors.
I love Kitten. The color makes my brown eyes pop and is so flattering on my skin. I've had the e/s in the past so I picked this up recently thinking it would be longer lasting. It lasts all day. It took me a couple of tries to get the consistency right. The first time I applied it with a flat stiff brush I use with my MAC p/p and this had some caking. The past few times I've used it with my fingers, quickly blending out as an all over cream shadow to very beautiful results. I find that with one layer it looks good but I think I will pick up another pan of the e/s in Kitten to wear over the smudgepot to rock it out.
I was reading the comments here as I awaited this product in the mail and I was really worried I'd be disappointed. CD's Tropical Light arrived today. I have no regrets. I swatched all the colors on my hand. They are absolutely gorgeous. They catch light beautifully and are somewhat lighter than in the pan. Of course this product is shimmery... "IRIDESCENT" is in the product name. I bought it for the shimmer and it is by far the best shimmery e/s I've had yet. I'm wearing the moss green with the bronze on the outer corner without any base or primer. It's lasted hours with no fade or creasing - I applied it with a small all-over eyeshadow brush. And I also have to say, these colors bring out the gold flecks in my brown eyes which is really cool. EDIT: just after five hours, it has some creases. That's a good run though. I'll wear it with a base of primer moving forward.
