Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Mega Plush Waterproof
lashenova 9/8/2012 4:11:00 PM
I really like this mascara. I have naturally long lashes that I am lucky have a nice curl, so I don't need to curl them. They are not thick and I am blonde so I look silly without mascara. I have a baby and I have lots of mascaras that are more dramatic (liek Maybeline Falsies, Shishedo, Anna Sui etc) but they tend to get flaky or require some sort of touch up/upkeep during the day. This mascara is very natural looking, and does add volume and length. It requires more layering than other mascaras do. What I like about this is I can put it on and not worry about it looking ridiculous. A lot of times when we think our lashes look dramatic and long and sexy they really just look clumpy and it is obvious that we layered a ton of mascara on. The only problem I have is I wish the want was smaller. I may try using a different wand for this tonight (maybe my Clinique High Lengths or Lash Doubling brush) and update if the result is good.

Hair Color -Revlon - Frost & Glow Highlighting Kit
lashenova 5/1/2007 5:59:00 PM
Wow. Just wow. I was very scared about using this product on my recently transformed champagne blonde to dark chocolate brown hair. I was so worried it would turn out orange after the color correction I had done to remove the gothic look my stylist had decided would 'bring out my blue eyes...Anyway I digress, I wanted to lighten up my blah looking med brown slightly reddish hair, and I am a bit wary of salons as of late. So I read the reviews and I am so glad I did. I used the honey kit, and I left it in about 10-15 minutes. My hair is lightened, not damaged, with light golden brown highlights. It just looks like I spent two weeks at the beach, shimmery and perfectly natural. The only complaint I have is the cap and wand are almost impossible to manage. I had to work very hard to pull strands out of the cap, not just a little effort. It took nearly an hour to get a decent amount of hair ready to color. But it was worth it. I may go back and add some more highlights next week.

My HG eye makeup remover. I may start using this to remove my face makeup (before cleansing) when I run out of jojoba oil. I'll let you guys know if it breaks me out.

Moisturizers -Cetaphil - Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF15
lashenova 3/27/2007 12:55:00 AM
This stuff is awesome. I was using Purpose SPF 15 until I realized it isn't photostable. I tried samples of Bienfait (Lancome) and realised that photostable spf does sting a tiny bit when applied...Bienfait was lovely but too expensive (40 bucks for a tiny bottle!). So I decided to give Cetaphil a try. Yes it stings a tiny bit the first few times you apply it, but it went away for me after a few days. No breakouts, and good moisturizing.

Concealers -Clinique - All About Eyes Concealer
lashenova 3/25/2007 1:35:00 AM
HG! This stuff is great! I was color matched by a SA while I was out of the state and in need of a undereye concealer. I have been getting almost violet undereye circles lately. I have the lightest color light nuetral- which I thought was too yellow. If I use a small amount and blend(all that is needed) it is perfect! Love it, no caking or settling into lines for me.

Scrubs -Clinique - 7 Day Scrub Cream
lashenova 3/15/2007 1:02:00 PM
I love this scrub! I have somewhat dry skin and am prone to flakiness and comedones (small pimples that most people don't tend to notice) and blackheads. I can use this everyday with no issues and it keeps my skin clear. I use this first in the morning and then follow it with my mild Liquid soap to remove the creamy residue. This has saved my skin from those embarassing flakes!

I have tried the Clinique brush and this is comparable, and 10 dollars cheaper. It is better than the essence of beauty brush I bought at CVS for 12 bucks. Clear winner in my book.

Toners -Clinique - Clarifying Lotion #3
lashenova 2/27/2007 12:10:00 AM
Ok, I have been skeptical about the whole 3 step, actually violently opposed to it. I recieved a full sized 3 step for free, and chose the products I wanted: mild liquid soap, #3 lotion (figured I would sell or swap it), and the DDML (for my hands and undereyes). My friend has been bugging me about using this and I decided it can't kill me, just give it a few weeks and see if it helps. I have been using the liquid soap, the #3 and putting my Paula's Choice 2% BHA liquid on top...and wow. It has only been a few days and my skin is like a baby's butt. I will update later. I thought my skin was dry but no more flakes, no tightness....The only new products are the Liquid soap and the Clarifying Lotion.

I love this soap. I had an HG in Purpose foaming face wash, but since using this my flakes and tight feeling cheeks have disapeared! My skin feels soft and is no longer dry! Loving it!

LOL. I got this for free from a friend who works for Bobbi Brown about a year ago. I had no idea it cost so much. I find it is good for highlighting...that is about it. Yikes at 40 bucks!

My favorite bronze/brown color. I use this for the smokey eye and also with a wet eyeliner brush as a liner. It makes my blue eyes pop.
