Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Lavender Essential Oil

Lavender Oil has SAVED my horrendous hormonal chin acne like nothing else. I use it directly after washing my face, both morning and night, before applying rosehip oil and moisturiser. I don't dilute it. It can sting a little bit over 'ripe' pimples but it doesn't last and it soaks in very quickly. I can apply this over a particularly nasty bump, even one that is under the skin and hasn't formed a head yet, and by the next day the bump will have decreased in redness/size/pain factor by a truckload. I like to use a cotton wool ball to apply the oil like a toner over my entire face (avoiding eye area, of course). Sometimes during the day if I notice something erupting I'll apply a dab of lavender oil using a cotton wool bud. I give it a few minutes to soak in before applying rosehip oil/moisturiser. It has been such a relief waking up in the morning and being able to visibly see an improvement in my skin condition. Next time I will try and purchase an organic product, but otherwise I wouldn't change a thing. TIP: If you have sensitive skin, buy a water-soluble lavender oil and dilute it a tad. Always test an area of your skin before you go all out! Remember it will sting momentarily when it touches wounds/damaged skin however this is for a few seconds only and is nothing.

Moisturizers -Kiehls - Ultra Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15

I love this product. It does what it claims to do and doesn't try and deceive you with slick packaging and perfumes and promises. I have good skin with some acne around my chin and enlarge pores over my t-zone. It is a lotion, but is not too thin and watery. It takes a few minutes to be absorbed by the skin which is fine with me. Lots of people are saying that it causes their make-up to slip off which I find puzzling. Do you put your foundation on immediately after your moisturiser? I find it pays to wait ten minutes or so - brush your teeth, fix your hair, water your house plants - and then start with your primer and foundation. You need to realise that this is not a sunscreen. This is a moisturiser with SPF 15 which is perfect for mornings when you're walking to the office and you want a bit of protection. If I were going to the beach or spending the day outdoors I would use SPF 30+ sunscreen. Be sensible guys! This is my daily moisturiser and I love it. My skin loves it too! No reactions, no clogging, just moisturised skin.

Primer/ Corrector -Chanel - Le Blanc de Chanel - Sheer Illuminating Base

This is the first primer that I have purchased in a long time, so I did my research and decided to take a stab at the Le Blanc. I am thrilled! The primer is silky smooth and light, yet manages to smooth out my skin and add a healthy glow to boot. I went a little overboard the first time, and have learnt that less is definitely more. You only need the tiniest amount to smooth over your face. The little spatula that came with the bottle is absolutely useless, and after the first shot I threw it in the bin. It collects too much primer which leads to waste, there is nowhere to rest it when applying the primer and it was a nuisance. I recommend using your fingers. The primer gave me a soft sheen which looked great. I applied it to one side of my face first, and noticed a HUGE difference compared to the 'naked' side. The primer covered my pores fantastically, and really smoothed out my skin. I'm not sure how it would work on wrinkles and lines (not something I have to deal with yet) but it was great for my troublesome skin. I have combination skin, with large pores and breakouts that tend to occur around my chin and nose. I also get occasional dryness in places. The primer diminished the redness of my spots, but it didn't hide them completely. I still need to use a concealer for large red areas, but I expected this. As for the dry areas, I noticed no flaking (although to be honest, I did apply a lot of moisturiser about an hour before trying the primer). I used it as a primer for my Lancome Adaptive, and I found it much easier to apply my foundation evenly and smoothly. I can even get away with using less foundation. My skin feels smooth and soft, my pores look smaller and tighter, and I've had nothing but compliments from people. I feel comfortable wearing it both day and night, and best of all it looks natural. It illuminates, sure, but I don't feel like I have glitter or sparkles all over my face. I definitely recommend, and I would definitely purchase again. Worth the money.
