I have a secret love of white flower perfumes and find myself reminiscing longingly of my used up Child, Kai, and Monyette samples. I refuse to pay so much for such a simple idea, so have experimented with different things in an attempt to mimic them. So far, Tahitian Gardenia comes closest by itself, and if I layer the tiniest bit of Terra Nova pikake oil with it, I get the same pretty-girl-on-holiday-in-spring feel that I love so much about the others.
Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Sanborn's Orange Blossom Cologne

I love orange blossom and this one is fresh and pretty. It's a Mexican product and costs $5 at Walmart or CVS (I find it in the Hispanic product section here in Florida). I splash it on in the summer either by itself or over Murray and Lanman's Florida Water. It's lovely to wear to bed, put in the spritzer for ironing your clothes, or spritz on your sheets. I've gone through many bottles of this over the years. If you're an orange blossom lover, you'll definitely want to seek this out.
Love love love it! My favorite toner. And you can't beat the smell.
This has become my husband's favorite fragrance. Fabulous dry down and it lasts all day. He still smells yummy after a long day at work. He says the women at work are always commenting about how great he smells and asking him what he is wearing. I love it. HUGE improvement over the Cool Water from which I've been trying to wean him since the 80s.
Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Proclaim Argan Oil - Hair Oil Treatment

Tried this along with One N Only argan oil treatment to find a cheaper alternative to my beloved Morrocanoil. I didn't like the smell of this and found it to be too silicone-y. Not like Morrocanoil at all. One N Only is a much better alternative and is all I use now.

I LOVE Morrocanoil but I can't bring myself to spend so much on a styling product. One n Only is the best knock off I've found. My husband (who also loves Morrocanoil, so we use buckets of it) and I did a comparison test of Morrocanoil, One n Only, and Proclaim and this one came out on top. It smells the same and, although it's not quite as fabulous as the original, it's so close that it's not worth the extra bank to pay for Morrocanoil. Proclaim didn't come close.
Lotions/ Creams -Eucerin - Aquaphor Healing Ointment

Definitely an improvement over Vaseline. It's lighter and less greasy. I use it mostly as a lip balm at night, but it looks nice enough on the lips to use during the day as well.

Another great MUA recommendation. Goes on smoothly and feels great on the lips. Lovely color. I fill in my lips and maybe put a little clear gloss over top, although it doesn't really need the gloss. Great buy.
Happiness in a bottle. It's bright and feminine. Doesn't last long but it's cheap so you can bathe in it. Not an overpowering floral at all. I love to layer it with just about anything.
"Bomb" indeed. The fragrance ladies at Nordstrom are forever trying to attack me with this horrible fragrance. With a name like "Flower Bomb" it HAS to be disgusting.
Far and away my favorite sandalwood to date. I have the lotion and the EdP. It's long lasting and smells fresh and sophisticated. Not a masculine.

Lovely woody iris. I feel beautiful when I wear it and never smell anything like it on anyone else. It's elegant and subtle and I wear it in the daytime mostly. Expensive but long lasting - I can still smell it when I get home form work after a long day.
Found this thanks to MUA. Nice product. Smells great, feels great, and absorbs quickly so I can apply make up without much of a wait. I like that it has SPF so I can forgo additional sun screen on work days when I don't get outside much.
I use for body and mani/pedi scrubs, mixed with body wash or oil. For mani/pedi I mix equal parts sugar, table salt, and whatever oil I feel like using. I think it's too harsh for the face.
I love homemade beauty concoctions but I'm lazy and don't want anything too complicated. This is right up my alley. I put this on my hair and put on a shower cap before I ride my stationary bike for thirty minutes. The shower cap ensures that it gets nice and warm up there. It leaves my thick, coarse hair nicely conditioned.
