I love it. the first 5 minutes it's very similar to tubereuse criminelle without the menthol then it turnes into a gardenia coffee, 10 minutes later the coffee gives place to tobacco and rum , 30 minutes later they give place to plum and spice and the whole concoction turns metallic, after that the metallic note fades and all the others reapper, turning this perfume into a soft and creamy gardenia delight.
I hated the first 20 minutes, it was too sharp and the oud and cloves made it smell medicinal, i was going to write a rather bad review but as the minutes go by it mellowes to a soft rich incense and amber which i like with distant flowers. so i changed my rating from 2 to 4.
from srart to finish it smells like metallic and earthy violetes, powdery(not the baby stuff) dry and clean, perfect for the summer.
Very sweet and fruity but it also smells chemical to me and not interesting.
I used to love this fragrance on other women but hatad it on my self, it was too animalic on me , maybe it is an age thing but now i absolutely love it, it is a forety woody- earthy- green- chipre marvel.
If you loverich white floral tuberose- gardenia fragrances you must try this one. it realy remind me of Fracas but milder and creamier.
I used to live near an orange grove and this is too sweet and gourmand to be called orange blossom. on me it smells like neroli oil and bubble gum. i bought it blindly online hoping for that orange blossom at night smell but gave it to my 20 y.o daughter who was happy to receive it by the way. gave the packaging only 1 poit beacause of the paperweight heavy cap.
To me Ungaro is an 80's style floriental fragrance, loud sexy and heady. it is linear from start to finish so there are no surprises along the road. it reminds me of F by Ferragamo with less berries involved and more amber and saffron (both created by Francis Kurkjian). nice but not for me. the bottle is very uncomfortable and heavy.
Pleasures is a classy, beautiful and joyful crisp clean floral. i loved it from the first sniff back in 1995 and it was the only fragrance i had and wanted, it used to get me many compliments. then, one day a co-worker with whom i shared the office asked me what i was wearing and naively i told her, she showed up the next morning wearing MY beloved Pleasures. well, for me wearing the same fragrance as another woman in the room is like wearing the same outfit ( to my delight no one ever complimented her,ba ha ha. to steal awomans scent right under her nose and without any premission is a BIG no no); so, sadly for a few years i avoided pleasures but always enjoyed catching wafts of it here and there. normally i never go back and rebuy a perfume once it's finished but for the sake of nostalgia i bought a botlle because somehow i just can't be without it. to me Pleasures is a must have fragrance, suitable for every age, occasion or season.
This is a powder monster. bitter, harsh and boring. too bad it has a huge giant sillage, when one woman wears it the entire room suffers. should be banned.
CASTELBAJAC EDT is a very unique winter fragrance. spicy, soft and powdery almonds. a gourmand without the toothache. very potent 1 spray is all you need for the entire day.
Brasil dream is a beautiful uplifting white floral suitable for every spring / summer occasion. uncomplicated and happy with good silage and longevity as all estee lauders are.
Aigner Explosive is a dark earthy resinous chipre suitable for a grown woman on a cold winter night. to my disappointment 10 minutes after spraying it turned into a salty nutty licorice thing- my least favorite note. so if you like licorice give it a try.
To me Sycomore is a fresh green vetiver, very suitable for a man but to my taste, too green for a woman to wear. and it is similar to Cristalle eau vert.
Dabed on wrist, sniffed and wrote down everything that came to mind : soft, creamy, nutty, woody, smoke and vanilla. i love it. Reminds me of SL Chergui.
