Polishes -Sephora - Sephora by OPI - It's Bouquet with Me

I love this polish! Like most glitters, you do need a lot of layers, but its fun, and super sparkly, and perfect for a christmas manicure. Funnily enough though I have found an almost exact dupe at the drugstore, which is Wet n' Wild Craze polish in I believe...glitz? It looks almost exactly the same, and has the same beautifully sparkly and gem like effect. Love them both!!

BB Cream -Skin79 - Super+ BB Cream Pink Label

I'm just going to go ahead and give this product a 5. Currently I have three foundations on rotation, Maybelline Dream Smooth Mousse, Bobbi Brown Lasting Finish, and this one, and over the last few days I have been reaching happily for my BB cream over my traditional base options. I'm very pale and unfortunately prone to acne so I feel absolutely naked without foundation on, and this is absolutely perfect for when I want to give my skin a break yet still feel confident. You don't need much, the strange greyish cast of this product blends out beautifully if applied in a thin layer, and will adapt to the color of your skin. However, this adaptive quality only works if you are naturally pale; I do not recommend this product for anyone above a MAC NC20-25. I am not sure of its beneficial qualities, the "wrinkle free" claim is not particularly important to me as a 20 year old, however I have found that it doesn't break me out and also can be used without a moisturizer underneath, making it perfect for travel. With an SPF of 25+++ this is brilliant for traveling as it works as your sunscreen, moisturizer, and foundation in one, saving you space and weight in your luggage (if decanted into a smaller container, the bottle itself is quite large but really good value and cute as well). It also does an incredible job of minimizing the appearance of pores and smoothing the skin. The secret to this product is really the application, brushes and sponges do not work, rather pump a pea sized amount to the back of your hands and smooth over areas where it is needed. Concealer will be needed to cover stubborn acne but I do find that it camouflages scarring well, and when set with a translucent powder (I recommend MAC Prep and Prime) wears well and appears super natural.

Crème -Maybelline - Dream Smooth Mousse

Well this is a surprise. I've tried Illamasqua Cream, Revlon Colorstay, MUFE HD, MUFE F&B, and Lilylolo and Presitge minerals. In comparison to them all, this really really delivers. It blends in so nicely (I use the famous SK buffer/highlighter flat top brush), and also very very quickly. You don't have to fuss with pumping product onto the back of your hand and dabbing it on, you just dip and apply and swirl a bit and you've got a perfect dewy finish AND the lightest color is actually light enough! While it still has too much pink/orange to be suitable for the palest of the pale, it blends for me fine (unlike the palest shade of every other Maybelline foundation I have tried). I DO NOT recommend this if you have oily skin. I am usually quite dry but as it is summer and this product is so dewy I have been having to powder myself up a bit about four hours after application. The lasting power otherwise is also surprisingly amazing. I am so shocked I love this, and I hope I stay that way!! The coverage is also buildable, I usually start off the day with one application, and then touch it up halfway through, and have absolutely no problems with cakiness or anything. This is the sort of product that you don't realize how amazing it is until you stop using it.

Moisturizers -Desert Essence - Daily Essential Moisturizer

i bought this on a whim, and it is now my favourite moisturizer, it sinks in quickly so you can apply makeup within a minute or so which is handy.i have sensitive 19 year old skin which is classically acne prone but also very prone to dryness because of prescription creams etc. this works amazingly well to balance my skin, i use it twice a day and have noticed such a huge improvement, i became very lax with my skincare regimen for a while and have only recently gotten back on board, this cream in conjunction with olay sensitive foaming face wash and thayers rose petal and witch hazel toner with aloe has helped amazingly. i've also recently started honey masks (just pure honey, sometimes with the addition of sugar so it becomes a scrub when i rinse my face). i used to use weleda's almond cream, however it is difficult to come by in my area and much richer than this formulation, once i finally find it again i will use weleda around the eye area and for extra moisture as the desert essence is quite light- i really recommend this combination!! xxxxx

Lip Treatments -Desert Essence - Lip Rescue w/ Shea Butter

this is one of my favourite lipbalms, i go through them like mad so i've tried my fair share. it smells lightly of vanilla and citrus and moisturizes really well, with a not too creamy texture so its not irritating if you are layering it with a lippy, it lasts reasonably well. i love it!
