Bronzers -BeneFit Cosmetics - HOOLA
ladiihpnotiiq 3/26/2011 7:57:00 PM
My absolute favourite bronzer! For reference I have a very neutral skintone which is difficult to match products with as things are either too pink, too pale or too yellow. I usually use anywhere from NC20 - NC30 in MAC makeup, and the closest match for my skinetone that I've found so far is Real Sand 08 in Prescriptives Virtual Skin makeup. I've tried a lot of bronzers, and am never really all that happy with them because of the skintone struggles I mentioned above. My latest was Laguna by Nars, which I've used for the last 3 years as even though I wasn't entirely happy with the product (it was a bit too pink for my liking), the compact was large and lasted a long time so i just stuck with it. It finally ran out so I started the search for a new bronzer. I am a Benefit lover and have started converting my makeup collection from Mac and Nars only to predominently Benefit, so I decided to search within this brand for the bronzer, and after reading all of the Hoola reviews, I took the leap and bought this as it was only $16 NZD. It's a very neutral bronzer, and applies very sheer, but is buildable. It's also matte, which is perfect for someone like me with extremely oily skin (I know, I won the genetic lottery!). I really cannot rave enough about the colour and price, and I will definitely be purchasing Hoola again.

Highlighters -BeneFit Cosmetics - High Beam
ladiihpnotiiq 3/26/2011 6:10:00 PM
I've never been one for highlighters as I have super oily skin and don't really feel the need to add more shine to my face. My mum bought the 'Her name was Glowla' palette for me which included a mini version of this and Moon Beam. I decided to test this along my cheekbones when I was wearing powder foundation (as I am much less oily on those days). It looked FABULOUS. It gives a very youthful, dewy look and is super easy to apply and blend. I now use this whenever I wear powder foundation for a little extra glow.

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Benetint
ladiihpnotiiq 3/26/2011 6:04:00 PM
This is a really pretty red colour, which is super easy to apply (although I find the brush so ticklish that I rush through the process a lot). My only problem with this, and almost all tints that I've tried is that it tends to 'gather' around creases and is darker towards the inside of my lips, so it looks uneven and like I've been drinking red alchopops/eating a red iceblock. It does look pretty and fresh when applied well and covered with a balm. As a cheek tint, it's very sheer and would maybe work better on drier skin as I'm super oily. I also end up with more product on my fingers as opposed to my cheeks.

Toners -Unlisted Brand - Hydrogen Peroxide
ladiihpnotiiq 3/5/2011 5:42:00 PM
I found this gave me nice results as a toner, apart from the lighter eyebrows and highlights around my forehead. My preferred use for this, however, is as a mouth rinse. It is fabulous for maintaining white teeth and freshening breath. I prefer it to mouthwash as this doesn't burn my mouth (I use 3%, undiluted) and I see noticable results if used regularly. It's also dirt cheap, and I usually buy in bulk (ie. 2 litres) as I go through this very quickly (roughly two mouthfuls per day), thus saving even more.

Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - Fantasy Britney spears
ladiihpnotiiq 3/4/2011 2:29:00 AM
This is a hugely recognisable scent for me. I can smell someone wearing it a mile away, and I say that in the best way possible. You see, I don't often recall scents, so when I do, it must mean something. I'm a fan of almost all of Britney's perfumes, but I must say that Fantasy is by far the most appealing. It's sweet and girly, but not cloying. It's a definite go-to scent for every occasion, and probably my most complemented fragrance to date. It's also very affordable, and the packaging is super cute.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - BEYONCE HEAT
ladiihpnotiiq 3/4/2011 2:23:00 AM
I decided to spray this whilst fragrance shopping and the scent has stuck with me since. I finally bought it when it was on sale, and although I do really like it, I think it smells overwhelmingly like Angel and am therefore a teensy bit disappointed as I already have Angel in my collection. It doesn't last very long on my skin, but I do get complimented on it regularly. It really does seem like the scent a sexy lady like Beyonce would wear herself, so I like to wear this when I need a little bit more of a 'grown-up' and sensual fragrance.

Fragrances -Juicy Couture - Viva La Juicy
ladiihpnotiiq 3/4/2011 2:17:00 AM
I had been lemming this scent for almost a year when I finally received the gift box for Christmas. It has single-handedly replaced all of my other perfumes, and reignited my obsession with all things Juicy Couture. The packaging is fabulous, the bottle is beautiful and the scent is to die for. A complete winner in my books!

Powder -Sephora - Mineral Double Compact Foundation SPF 10
ladiihpnotiiq 5/20/2010 12:22:00 PM
I absolutely love this foundation. I have used MAC Studio Fix for about 2 years, and this is very similar but with a lighter coverage. I actually prefer this foundation over MAC, as all to often with MAC I get the 'cake-face' look. I've never experienced that with this. I use my 182 brush to apply the powder most of the time, but when I'm in a rush I will use the white side of the sprong provided. As per the instructions, the white side is for a lighter coverage, but I've found that it picks up and distributes much more product than the black side. It's very long lasting, and although I have oily skin it is yet to oxidize on me. I alternate between D25 & D30 (for reference I am a NC25-30), and although I am yet to find my perfect shade in any foundation, those suit me just fine. I do believe the coverage is Medium, and it is definitely buildable. It covers and redness I may have very easily without looking caked on. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting a reliable and affordable compact foundation.

Fragrances -Marc Jacobs - Daisy
ladiihpnotiiq 5/20/2010 12:11:00 PM
This is a very feminine and fun fragrance. On myself it smells VERY floral, much like Flower by Kenzo, which I'm not the biggest fan of. On my Mum, on the other hand, this smells lovely and girly, a hint of floral mixed with creamy vanilla. I absolutely adore the packaging, and think this is a lovely perfume if it mixes well with your chemistry.

Fragrances -Hugo Boss - Boss Orange by Hugo Boss
ladiihpnotiiq 5/20/2010 9:37:00 AM
I'm rather picky with my perfumes. As I'm prone to headaches, I tend to stick scents that I know and love rather than going through the 'dangerous' task of sampling new ones (I feel as if I'm about to faint after the 3rd sniff). Just before Christmas I went perfume shopping with my Mum. I wasn't really smelling any, just noting which scents she liked. I saw the new Boss Orange fragrance, and remember reading somewhere that it's a favourite of Cheryl Cole (whom I absolutely adore). I decided to go over and give it a try. To my pleasant suprise, I well and truley fell in love with the perfume. I sprayed it on (which is a completely rare action as it almost always ends in a headache for me), and the more I smelt it, the more I fell in love. I ended up recieving the perfume for Christmas, and it has been the only scent I've worn ever since. It's a light, fruity, feminine scent. It's light enough to spray on just before leaving the house (whereas with other, heavier perfumes I tend to spray on atleast an hour before leaving so as not to overpower), yet it has a lovely staying power. I would highly recommend this perfume to those who want a fresh, girly scent. It will be absolutely wonderful during summer, and it is indeed a guy magnet!

Conditioner -Nivea - Brilliant Brown Conditioner
ladiihpnotiiq 11/12/2007 4:53:00 AM
I have bra-strap length, oily, naturally wavy, virgin dark brown hair. As with the Brilliant Brown Shampoo, I bought this conditioner in Morocco, purely for the fact that it was made by Nivea (which is one of my favourite beauty brands and they don't test on animals), and because I had washed my hair with soap from my hotel the night before and it turned out horribly, and also because it was dirt cheap (just under 3 euros). I can't rave enough about this conditioner, as it made my straw-like hair silky, smooth and soft. It smells wonderfully, too! It isn't heavy, which is a huge plus for me as I have extremely oily hair and another big bonus is that fact that it offers UV protection. I am absolutely kicking myself for not buying more of this while in Morocco as I haven't seen it anywhere here in Madrid. I advise any ladies who want a simple, cruelty-free, cheap and lovely shampoo & conditioner to pick a few of these up if they ever happen to come across them. I HIGHLY recommend this! UPDATE: After 2 weeks, this products is STILL perfection! I cannot stop raving about it!

Shampoo -Nivea - Brilliant Brown Shampoo
ladiihpnotiiq 11/12/2007 4:45:00 AM
I have bra-strap length, oily, naturally wavy, virgin dark brown hair. I bought this shampoo from Marjane while on a recent holiday in Morocco, as I forgot to bring my usual hair products along. I was suprised by it as I hadn't ever seen a shampoo by Nivea, and since I love Nivea products, and they don't test on animals, I had to try it! My hair was in a horrible condition as I had used one of the hotel soaps to wash my hair, which completely dried it out and made it feel like hay. After the first use of this shampoo (along with the matching conditioner), my hair was back in it's normal, healthy condition and it smelt wonderful and felt smooth. When my hair dried - it was silky, shiny and alot straighter than it usually is. I am completely kicking myself for not buying a few more of bottles of the stuff, as it was dirt cheap (just under 3 euros) and I have yet to see it here in Madrid. I HIGHLY recommend this product, and would advise any brunette who sees it to pick it up! It's lovely, cheap and works wonders! UPDATE: I have been using this shampoo for almost 2 weeks now and my hair is in the best condition! This product is truley a godsend. I'm still kicking myself for not stocking up on this when I had the chance, but I've found a seller on ebay so I'm definitely gonna fork out for a truck-load of the stuff! Btw, I have extremely oily hair which pretty much has to be washed everyday in order to look clean. I have been in the process of 'training' my hair to get used to not being washed as much for the last few months (with minimal results) and after using this I can now wash my hair every second day with no signs of oiliness what-so-ever. I simply cannot rave enough about the stuff!

Lip Treatments -Smith's Rosebud Salve - Smith's Rosebud Salve
ladiihpnotiiq 11/12/2007 4:11:00 AM
I bought this on a whim (without ever hearing of it) while on a recent holiday I had found myself with extremely chapped lips and no lipbalm! This, IMO, is a runny, scented, OVER-HYPED vaseline. It helped my lips a little, but I wouldn't buy it again as their are much better prducts out their for half the price. Plus, the smell is really off-putting if you don't like rose and you could easily use too much of this because of it's slightly runny texture. One huge plus though is the packaging which is a really cute, retro-looking tin.

Fragrances -Christian Dior - Chris 1947
ladiihpnotiiq 11/2/2007 5:57:00 AM
I recieved this as a gift and at first, wasn't really impressed. At the time I ONLY liked and used foody smelling perfumes. I used the majority of the bottle anyway, almost wasting it in a sense as I would spray it all over my friends, my room - anything - which I normally wouldn't do with a scent I liked. After about a year, and with the perfume being almost empty, I tried it on myself again to see if I liked it - and to my suprise I didn't just like it, I LOVED it! Now I regret wasting it as I can only find this perfume on ebay for a small fortune! It's a strong, fruity perfume which is perfect for summer. I recommend it to those who like Miracle and Be Delicious.
