Ladies... We all know its taboo, but lets face it. Women are starting to dermaplane a.k.a shave their face. For those of us that don't have or want to drop hundreds of dollars to have someone professionally do it, these are what you need. They are sold at Sally's for $5 for a 3 pack. I looked into this because I have plenty of peach fuzz on what would be the side burn area. When I wear bronzed in the summer, you could really see it. After doing research, talking to my GP, derm, and endocrinologist, the hair DOES NOT GROW BACK thick and dark!! Think about it. If a boy going through puberty were to never shave his face, he would still have facial hair because of HORMONES. Testosterone is what makes hair thick and course. This is why some women get course hairs when they go through the change or on birth control. Estrogen levels drop. Estrogen is what keeps the hair away. Ok, back to the blade. When you use it, you scrape your face in the direction of the hair growth in short strokes. You will be amazed at all the dead skin that comes off with it as well. Don't use this on your upper lip or eyebrows. Stick to waxing, unless you want a quick fix. I used this last night and I can't believe how smooth and glowing my skin is. If you have acne, I wouldn't use this because it might irritate the lesions you have. Be sure to moisturize after.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Rose queen
rated 3 of 5

This bath bomb was not what I expected. The website said it was filled with rose petals when dissolved. My water turned a light pink and smelled wonderful, like a rose garden in full bloom. However, all these twigs and fingernail sized rose petals came out. I also got a bud from the rose. It kind of looked like cheap crushed up potpourri. My skin was very soft and moisturized, smelled amazing too, but the mess it left in my tub was not what I payed for. It would have been better without the thorns and twigs. Stick with the bubble bars.

Crème -Revlon - ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup

Ok, I'm converted. I read ALL the reviews on this foundation until I bought it. I tried 3 types of Clinique, BE, ELDW, and they all fail compared to this jar of secrets. I'm the buff shade which matches my skin perfectly. My skin is super oily, but I don't really need much coverage. However, I have huge pores. This is fantastic in every way, shape, and form. I apply it with a sponge and it disappears into my skin. I have yet to look greasy. It doesn't even rub off in the shower until I take it off with my purity. I'm not thrilled with the jar it comes in because I'm so scared I'm going to drop it or it will turn upside down and turn into a big mess when I go to open it, but that's minor for what it does for my skin. It's pricey for a ds foundation but its bogo a lot at ulta.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Blue Skies bubble bar
rated 5 of 5

Whoa. Where to start with this. This was my first bubble bar from LUSH and I was in Aawww. If you like patchouli, this is a winner. I only used a half dollar size of the bar and my tub was filled with bubbles and the scent was crazy strong! The water was sapphire blue which reminded me of Cancun. After 10 minutes the patchouli scent turned into a sweet scent that was comforting. When I got out of the tub my skin was soft and heavily fragranced, but not sickening. My tub wasn't stained blue ( bonus) and my bathroom smelled heavenly even into the next night! My husband who hates patchouli even said he loved the scent! This bar is a big winner with the bubbles, the scent, and the usage.

Moisturizers -Philosophy - Take a Deep Breath Oil Free Energizing Gel Cream Moisturizer
rated 5 of 5

I must admit. I'm bad. I didn't start using a moisturizer until I was 33. That's only because I didn't think I needed one until I found this. I have REALLY oily skin so anything moisturizing scared me. This seems more to me like a protector. It has antioxidants and a gel texture to it. It just seeps right in your skin. After using it for a week, I noticed my skin was actually less oily and looked better! The only thing I don't like is the cheap jar. It cracks easily.

Bath Treatments -LUSH - Geo Phyzz bath bomb
rated 3 of 5
kykelly322 1/16/2013 11:46:00 PM

This was in my first LUSH purchase. I got this along with the Rose bomb, sky blue bb, and ToT bb. The smell is earthy. It's like being in a deep forest and smelling all of the fresh trees. It's actually soothing. The bomb itself was so so. When I dropped it in, all the fizzing was cool, but it only lasted about 5 seconds. It completely dissolved turning the water a jade color. I can't say it did anything for my skin because I didn't feel any different when I got out of the tub, but I was relaxed and refreshed at the same time from the scent. For the price, it's not a repurchase..

Polishes -China Glaze - All

Maybe it's just my nails, but this polish just doesn't last on me. I've used every bc and tc out there and it chips the same day. The only good thing about this polish is the color selection.

Mascara -Clinique - High Impact Mascara
rated 3 of 5

This mascara is so so. It volumizes and lengthens, but it will smudge unless you really wipe practically everything off the brush. Then you have a big mess at the top of the tube. I think ds mascaras work better without all the work..

Misc Beauty Tools -Clarisonic - Mia

My mom bought this for me 2 years ago and I must say, I'm impressed. I didn't think it would do much, but after a week of use, my skin texture changed. Any blackheads I had were gone and my pores did shrink slightly. I wish I had the one for the body because I would love this for my back. It also holds a charge for a really long time. Major bonus!

Eye Shadow -Bare Escentuals - Glimmer in Drama

Fab eye shadow. Lasts forever. I think I had mine for 5 years now. It works great for everyday use or to use for a smokey eye. I have blue eyes and this really makes them stand out. I also bought the Weather Everything liner sealer and this makes a great shimmery liner that does not move! Can't go wrong with BE shadows.

Cleansers -Philosophy - Purity Made Simple® Facial Cleansing Gel & Eye Makeup Remover
rated 5 of 5
kykelly322 10/5/2012 11:34:00 PM

This cleanser has changed my skin. It takes Everything off even h20 proof mascara. It's perfect for oily skinned beauties and works even better with the Clarisonic. The packaging sucks because you have to practically squeeze the bottle with 2 hands, but oh well. All you need is a dab for your face and neck so the bottle lasts a good 3 months.

Foundations -Clinique - Pore Refining Solutions Instant Perfecting Makeup
rated 5 of 5
kykelly322 10/5/2012 11:27:00 PM

This has got to be THE best foundation I have eve tried in my forever long search for the perfect foundation. I'm 33 and have extremely oily skin. I use milk of magnesia as a primer which is a HUGE help in controlling oiliness and is a great MU primer too. The shade choices aren't too great, but I was lucky to find mine which is ivory. It looks a little darker then my skin but it is very forgiving. The coverage is light to medium, and it is a great spot coverage treatment too. I don't use a powder over this and I can actually make it through an 8 hour work day without feeling like a fry daddy. My pores do look less noticeable when its on, so that's a plus as well. I would recommend buying this when Clinique has their gift promo because its $27. This way, you can get all of those little freebies.
