This is soo sheer! On the other hand, it is ideal for those days when I want to keep my cheeks polished but a little on the nude but healthy side. It is also perfect as a base under a sheer powder blush. I don't think I would repurchase though.
Blush -MAC - Mineralize Blush - Pressed Amber (Semi-Precious)
kxpapado 9/12/2011 3:12:00 PM
I was not at all interested in pressed amber because I was never interested in brown blushes. One day, after I had already bought the items I wanted from the collection, I swatched it just for fun and I was sold! It is a perfect rosey caramel brown, nothing orange in it, so it is perfect for contouring (I'm nw1 in F&B foundation). Since then I wear it every sinle day, I wish I had purchased a backup as well...
Makeup Brushes -MAC - #187 Duo Fiber Face Brush (Stippling, Skunk Brush)
kxpapado 9/12/2011 1:48:00 PM
This is my HG face brush, I use it for foundation, bronzing/contouring, mineralize skinfinishes, blush, setting powder, everything! It's ideal for just the right amount of blush on my cheeks, even with the more pigmented ones, no more blending and blending and blending! I sprinkle some brush cleaner on a paper towel and swipe it on between different products, it takes a few extra seconds but this way I don't get foundation transferred on my bronzing power etc (maybe until I can afford a second one!).LOVE it!
Makeup Brushes -MAC - 188 Small Duo Fibre Face brush
kxpapado 9/12/2011 1:38:00 PM
Love it! I purchased an 187 and next day I got the 188 too! I use it for my eyes base make up (primer+concealer+setting powder) and it applies beautifully and blends everything flawlessly.
Liquid -MAC - Mineralize Satinfinish SPF 15 Foundation [DISCONTINUED]
kxpapado 9/12/2011 1:28:00 PM
Sheer coverage, too much sparkle. If it was full coverage it could be my night out foundation, but for day, no, too much edwardian (if you speak twilightian, LOL!) glittery glow. Great packaging though!
I didn' like it at all. I tried brushes, I tried my fingers, with a primer, without a primer, it just sat on my skin making my pores look huge! I tried applying it lightly, heavily, it just didn't work. I also didn't like the sight of it after a few uses, I clean my brushes allright but the idea of a cream make up exposed like this, it just didn't look very appealing to me.I used it up but will not repurchase.
As already mentioned, the best (IMO) way to apply this is to put it in my palm and rub my palms together until it feels less slippery and more sticky. Then I apply it on my face and I get the best coverage and more satiny (instead of dewy) look. If applied with the 187, the coverage is more sheer and dewy (wet). Then I (very) lightly sweep a little powder on top and it stays in place all day. That been said, and having found the best way to apply it, I just love it! It's natural, like a second skin, feels comfortable, unifies my skintone and gives me a sublte glow. The bottle is huge and easy to use, it will last me for ages, even with everyday application.
Why did I wait soooo long to get this? It is just perfect!I It's ideal for a nude look in a second, or as a base for eyeshadows, and it hides perffectly all the little veins etc. I love it!
Palettes -Christian Dior - Dior Flight - 001 Peachy Adventure

I love it! The packaging is gorgeous and slim, ideal for my handbag and there is everything I will need for a quick touch up on the go, so I don't have to carry anything more with me (apart from a lip brush, I wondered why Dior did't include one, there is enough space next to the eyeshadow). Colors are well matched and the brown shadow is really pretty and pigmented.
