This sunscreen is my current favorite, and is one of the first chemical sunscreen I've used. It's similar to the Aveeno continuous protection SPF30 in texture, but absorbs a lot better and stings less on the eyes. It is very moisturizing, and makes my dry skin stay soft all day. This sunscreen has the same formula as the face cream, so is much better in value. It's not much more expensive than drugstore sunscreens!
I've used a few bb creams, and this one has the best coverage. The color is pretty natural for asian skin tones, but that also means that it only fits a narrow range of skin tones. I'm about NC25 and it fits me pretty well. The texture is very thick and pretty dry, so I used to hate using it. But one day, I decided to mix it with equal parts moisturizer, and BAM! This stuff looks amazing on your skin! If you think it's too thick, and if the color is too light, try mixing it with moisturizer! It will make all the difference. The 50mL tube is huge, so I doubt I will be repurchasing this any time soon-
Eyeliner -Urban Decay - 24-7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero
ktwinks 2/13/2012 12:46:00 PM
I had always wanted to try the 24/7 eyeliner (zero), and I received a half sized sample through a swap to try it out. I don't quite understand why it's such a big deal because I have used drugstore eyeliners that work SO much better for me. I am asian, so I always tightline and fill in my upper waterline, and don't line the tops of my lashes too often. It smudged within 30 minutes! I'm glad I got this through a swap and didn't spend the money on it. If you are into tightlining, Milani Liquif-eye and make up forever aqua liner lasts great and doesn't smudge on me.
Bobbi brown's bb cream is really nice, but really expensive for what it is! It is one of my favorite BB creams, but I have pretty good skin, and like to wear sheer makeup. I would not purchase this again because it's so expensive. Just as a note, I have it in Fair (darkest color), and it suits my NC25-30 skintone. I dont know if it would suit skin darker than NC30-35 to be honest. Pros: Hydrating on the skin, more colors than other bb creams. Spreads smoothly, looks very natural throughout the day. Convenient packaging. Cons: very expensive, light coverage, not very long lasting.
Treatments -Paula's Choice - RESIST Daily Smoothing Treatment with 5% AHA

This is such a wonderful exfoliant! I use it every night before I go to bed, and my skin feels that much softer the next morning. It's gentle, and doesnt dry out my super-dry skin.
Treatments -Paula's Choice - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Lotion Exfoliant

I'm on my third or fourth bottle of this, and I will continue to use it. While my skin is not breakout prone, I do get a few pimples around that time of the month. Since I started using this, my skin has cleared up significantly, and my breakouts have really become less severe, and the scars fade a lot faster. I personally wish I could see more results interms of reduced blackheads, but all I see is the effect it has on my skin texture.
Of the MAC foundations, I've only really used the face and body foundation. I never had issues with the f&b, or foundation samples I tried from MAC (studio sculpt, pro longwear). This foundation looks beautiful, and lasts a long time, but I can't seem to wear it more than 3-4 days in a row! My face broke out horribly, and I am not someone who has acne/breakout problems! It looks almost like a rash (tiny tiny bumps all over my face). Though it's beautiful, I'll have to return this :( Just as a note, my skin is not that sensitive, and I have never broken out from any foundations before- and I've tried A LOT of foundations. I guess I'll stay away from MAC foundations from now on...
Tinted Moisturizer -Bobbi Brown - Tinted Moisturizer - New Formula 2011
ktwinks 6/22/2011 12:22:00 AM
I received a sample of this at a Bobbi brown counter because I wanted to make sure I was spending 40 dollars on the right product. I'm glad I did! Though this has nice texture and nice coverage, it irritated my skin. I have slightly sensitive skin, so I imagine this won't work for you if you have really sensitive skin...
The color is beautiful, and the eyeshadow is creamy, but it creases like crazy and only lasts for about 2 hours. I'm just trying to use this up, and I'll try the Makeup Forever aqua cream in Taupe. Hopefully I'll have better luck with that.
Treatments (Eye) -Boots - Botanics Moisturizing Eye Cream

I absolutely hated this eye cream. I've tried a whole lot of high end and drugstore products, but this one is by far the worst. It is too light (gel texture), and isn't moisturizing. On top of that, it stings when I put it on my eye area. I want to finish using up the bottle, but not on my face. Maybe I'll use it on my legs since it has right reflecting particles that makes the cream sparkle.
This is my all time favorite scru, and I absolutely adore it. I've tried the Origins ginger scrub, but the grains were too large and it was really oily. This scrub doesnt drip oil like the Origins one, and I havent had a problem with my tub getting slippery... The scrub smells divine, exfoliates well, and leaves my body hydrated. I've already gotten back ups of it to keep in my bathroom :)
I've never tried a drugstore tinted moisturizer, but I got this from a swap and thought I might give it a shot. It's actually amazing! The coverage is not that great, which is why I'm giving it a 4, but if you have good skin, this is a great TM for you. It feels amazingly light on the skin, and gives you just a touch of color. However, the color is way too pink for my Asian skin tone, so I probably wont purchase it again...
I like that this is a very light primer, but it's expensive and overrated. Doesn't do much to prime my face, doenst make my foundation stay much longer than it would without using the primer. I'm just trying to finish up what I have left, and I'll move onto something else. Will not purchase again.
Moisturizers -Purpose - Purpose Intensive Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15
ktwinks 2/4/2011 10:40:00 PM
Purpose face wash is my all time favorite face wash. I thought I'd try out the moisturizer, but it was a bit disappointing. I have dry skin, and it is not that moisturizing. My skin is also not that sensitive, but this lotion is somewhat irritating to my skin. I'm going to try to finish this bottle but I will not purchase again...
I'm new to matte bronzers, and I got this one after watching a couple youtube videos. I wanted to try something drugstore so I could "practice". It's lightly colored and therefore easy to work with. However, it has a slight tint of orange, but I can work with it (it was 4 bucks!) and I still like it nonetheless :)
