Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Express Perfume - Express Glam
ksdjfklsdjf 10/25/2012 3:05:00 PM
I only sampled this product from one of those sheet of perfume samples in the Express magazine. I rubbed the product on my arm and it smells wonderful! The bottle looks kind of boring just very plain and basic, but the perfume itself smells very mature and sexy in my opinion. It reminds me of Lovestruck by Vera Wang except a lot less sweet smelling, which makes me prefer this perfume more. Lovestruck was just far too sweet that it gave me headaches. Both of these perfumes have sweet, floral and musk scents in them which is my favorite combination. Since I have only sampled this by rubbing it on my arm from that paper I cannot really comment on lasting power, but if I end up purchasing this I will definitely come back and update my review! Top Notes: Black currant, mandarin vodka Middle Notes: Sheer jasmine petals, lily of the valley Base Notes: Praline, creamy musk, white woods Update: I bought the full size and I love itt. It has really good staying power, too.

I personally think this perfume smells amazing. I have not bought it I just sampled it. However, I feel her advertising is partly what is it making people frustrated more than the actual product itself. Even though it smells wonderful, I found myself feeling disappointed the first time I smelled it too because I was expecting something soo unique and exotic and it just didn't live up to that. Nontheless I still lovee the smell and I am planning on purchasing it. I also love how it is black liquid! That adds it's own unique sexiness to this product.

Brows -NYX - Eyebrow Cake Powder - ECP02 Dark Brown/Brown
ksdjfklsdjf 10/19/2012 10:20:00 AM
This excels on all the most important aspects of an eyebrow products: color, natural or dramatic, lasting and price! 1. BROWN eyebrow product and it looks great in all lighting (many eyebrow product look good inside but in natural light have hints of red ... not this one!) 2. You can achieve a natural look with a light layer or a dramatic look with multiple layers. The gel makes it more pigmented, but that also tends to make it more noticeable that you have something on your eyebrows. I personally just like using the powder for everyday use. I use the gel for the days that I want a little extra "pop" and staying power. 3. Lasting power is great! This product stays on all day whether I use the gel part of it or not. It may fade a littleee bit throughout the day without the gel but it still stays on wonderfully. 4. Such a great product at such a great price. I got mine for $4.79 on sale at Ulta (normally $5.99) and a little goes a longgg way so it seems like it will last a very long time. I highly recommend this product!

Mascara -Jordana - Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara
ksdjfklsdjf 10/11/2012 12:07:00 AM
Initially when I wrote a review for this product I didn't like this. I tried it again and I am in loveeee. I think I was just having a bad eyelash day the first time I tried it (sometimes I have those day when my lashes just don't want to cooperate!) because every time since then that I have tried it I've liked it. It coats my eyelashes perfectly and makes them dramatic, curly and dark. It gives the dramatic look of lets say 2 coats of Loreal Voluminous with only one swipe and it's not clumpy either. Doesn't give me flakes throughout the day. I highly recommend this product for those who like their lashes to be intense. For people who like to switch between a natural look and a dramatic look with one mascara, skip this. You get "pow in your face" and nothing less. So i use this for days I want to look extra made up. Love it ..awesome price too!! The only problem I found was the part that pulls excess product off the mascara wand keeps coming off the tube, which is a pain to try to push it back on without making a mess. It is not really fair to harp on them about their packaging since the product is so cheap, but since that is a really annoying factor I did lower the rating a little. Other than that this product is perfection in my "eyes" ;)

Crème -Revlon - ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup
ksdjfklsdjf 6/16/2012 11:19:00 AM
I adore this foundation! I haven't worn a liquid or creme foundation in quite a while. I got the point where i was just using powder because liquid foundations that I have tried (Revlon Colorstay the liquid, MAC mineralize, MAC Pro Longwear, Maybelline Dream smooth mousse and Dream Matte Mousse, Estee Lauder Double Wear, Makeup Forever Face and Body Liquid, etc.) always either looked too heavy, not enough coverage, accentuated pores, broke me out, couldn't find a color match, too shiny or not long lasting. I wanted coverage, but I didn't want it to look heavy and I wanted it to last! I hate when I look great going out the door, but before you know it my makeup has slide off my face! Not cute. That's why I gave up on trying liquid for a while. The reviews here made it tempting to try this foundation. I am so glad that I did! I got this for $14 at my local RiteAid in the color Early Tan. I was afraid the color wouldn't match because another reviewer said this color was orange on her, but it worked surprisingly well with my summer skin color. It lasted throughout the day even with the warm weather. It did get a little oily even though I dusted the colorstay powder over it, but when I blot it still stayed looking great from morning till night. This foundation truly makes me looked airbrushed like as if I am a walking AD for this foundation! Super easy to apply and a little goes a very long way. It also washes off without much hassle. I haven't gotten any major breakouts, but I have only worn it two days. I will update if it breaks me out. I have yet to adore a foundation as much as this one, so I'd say it is definitely worth a try since if you don't like it then it can always be returned. UPDATE August 7, 2012 - I still loveee this foundation, but I find it to be too heavy for everyday. I went back to powder on a daily basis. I use this for days when I want to look extra good.

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Living Libations Seabuckthorn Best Skin Ever
ksdjfklsdjf 3/9/2012 10:33:00 AM
I had such high expectations for this product. There were so many glowing reviews on the website and the description is what really drew me in. The ingredients sound amazing since I am really into 100% organic products. When I tried to leave a review on the website it never went through so I decided to write one on here. This cleanser seems to be as pure as it gets with powerful healing essential oils in it. It is supposed to be a multipurpose product (cleanser, moisturizer, exfolitator). I thought this would make my skin moisturized, glowy and healthy. I have only used it for a few days, but I have had a few breakouts and not much improvement to my skin. I started a new job so I'm not sure if it is stress or this cleanser causing the breakouts. It doesn't moisturize quite like I expected either. I will definitely update with longer use. I personally think it takes about a month to know the true quality of a product. UPDATE: Bottom line: This product is not good as my cleanser, but it is wonderful when I use it as my moisturizer after washing with my normal cleanser. I put a tiny squirt in my hand then I mix it with a little bit of water and rub it into my skin. It gets rid of dryness, makes my skin super soft, it absorbs fully, it feels as though it is nourishing and protecting my skin, and it gives my skin a gorgeous youthful healthy glowing look. So as a cleanser it gets a "C" in my book and as a moisturizer it gets an "A+"

Cleansers -Alba Botanica - Hawaiian Pineapple Enzyme Facial Cleanser
ksdjfklsdjf 10/22/2011 6:49:00 PM
I bought this because I was/am looking for a more natural cleanser with less chemicals. I have been having a few minor breakouts, my pores have been looking bigger and my skin has been oily. This cleanser did not make matters worse, but it didn't seem to improve it either. I'm still on the search for a chemical free cleanser that helps balance my skin. Oil cleansing worked for a while, but now my skin seems to slowly be getting worse. If anyone has any recommendations let me know!

Liquid -MAC - Pro Longwear Foundation
ksdjfklsdjf 8/23/2011 12:24:00 AM
It claims to stay on and that it does. Whenever I hear the claims products make I usually never believe them because I've been let down so many times. This product actually does stay on pretty much till I take it off. I do get a little oily throughout the day, but when I blot it still stays on nicely. Most long lasting foundations I have tried have been super noticable and end up very cakey (colorstay and estee lauder double wear). Now to be fair I used to use a different technique when using foundation back then and perhaps I put too much on. This foundation can look cakey if you put too much on, but there are ways to make it not look cakey. When the girl at the counter tried this on me I was horrified to see how cakey it look when I got outside in natural lighting. I decided to go home and apply it myself and it looked much more natural. I went to get a makeup lesson a few weeks back and she said apply the foundation in downward strokes on the whole cheek area, the nose, the chin and then on the forehead do outward strokes. It's hard to explain the technique in writing, but since I have been doing that my foundation has always come out looking more natural (I just use those sponge applicators). Also the great thing is that it will not get cakey as the day goes on. Sometimes when you apply foundation it looks good, but within a few hours it has turned into a mess. This truly stays looking the way it did when you put it on ..so if you apply it looking natural it will remain looking natural (though it may fade a tiny bit). I tried the NC35 in the mineralize satinfinish foundation and it worked perfect, but unfortunately the NC35 in this foundation does not match as well. Overall, I think this is a great long lasting foundation and I will buy again if I can find my right shade. This is not the most natural looking foundation although as mentioned different techniques make it either more natural or more cakey. It covers nicely and stays put, which is what I wanted it to do. If it breaks me out I will update, but so far so good.
UPDATE: After wearing this for a few weeks I found I'm not too crazy about it anymore. It feels heavy on the skin and tends to make my skin very oily. It does stay on, but I hate constantly being aware of the makeup feeling on my face! Even though it stays on so well it still manages to transfer easily. Sometimes I have found it caking a little bit around my nose, too. It's a shame I really thought I found a close to perfect foundation. I'm bumping it down to a 3 because it does stay on but it doesn't deserve a 4 in my opinion.

Liquid -MAC - Mineralize Satinfinish SPF 15 Foundation [DISCONTINUED]
ksdjfklsdjf 8/22/2011 11:56:00 PM
I'll give this product a 4 because it can do wonders, but just not for my skin type (and that's my fault for getting a foundation that doesn't suit my skin type). Hate when people rant about a product not doing something it never claimed to do. The reason I didn't like it for my skin type is because the tiny light reflecting particles in it made my skin appear greasy. But it never claimed to be matte so I cant get mad at it for that. No matter how much powder I used I look would look shiny in fiive minutes, even if my skin didn't feel oily. I do have combination skin and get oily in the t-zone and this just made it worse for me. However, I could see how this could do wonders for dry or normal skin. It gives a luminous glow with decent coverage (light-medium). Also the color NC35 was perfect for my skin in all lighting. I have the worst trouble finding foundation that matches me, but this did a great job. It did seem to give me tiny bumps on my forehead. So for people with oily acne proned skin should be careful with this foundation. I would imagine other skin types would probably do great with it.

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash BIG
ksdjfklsdjf 2/2/2011 1:45:00 PM
Whenever I want to buy a beauty product, I almost always look up reviews on it before purchasing. I was in the store one day and was looking at this mascara and had tried the original in the past. I had a love/hate relationship with the original. The formula was sooo beautifully dark and made my lashes have the perfect curl all day but the brush I absolutely hated. The brush made it so hard to not have my lashes clump. So when I saw they had the same formula and finally changed the brush, I jumped on it without even reading the reviews. I am so glad did, because if I read the reviews I would have passed this up. It separates so nicely and is super buildable as advertised. One coat looks pretty but I usually do 2 or 3 and get little to no clumps. I found flaking to be very minimal, but for anyone that hates even a little flaking probably wouldn't like this mascara. This is my go to mascara from day to day. So glad I gave it a chance! I'll post a link to a picture below. Left is no mascara and the right is 3 coats of this mascara. I'll also just post the picture above.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous in Carbon Black
ksdjfklsdjf 10/2/2010 11:27:00 PM
I have been on and off with this mascara for years. I'll buy it and I love it everytime that I do. Somehow I always end up straying away from it though because I get lured into buying new mascaras. I am always on the search for a perfect mascara, and although this mascara is great in my opinion, it still isn't perfect. The thing I love most about it is the volume it gives. Most mascara take layers and layers to get volume I like but with this mascara it only seems to take 2 layers for me to be satisfied. I have long lashes to begin with so I don't focus on mascara for how well it can lengthen, but this one does seems to make them longer. I have this mascara in carbon black and it does make my lashes very black which I love. The only downfall with this mascara is if you are not careful it can get clumpy/spidery. I have learned that application techniques can definitely make or break a mascara. If I am in a rush when applying this it can end up a mess but if I take a few minutes and apply it carefully and slowly it ends up fabulous. I have experienced this with other mascaras I've tried too. So if you don't like a mascara maybe try a few different application techniques before you give up on it for good. Of course there will still always be those mascaras that will just suck no matter how you apply them. Anway I really like this mascara and I bought it at wegmans for $5.99 (I think most stores it sells for around a little more than 7 dollars or so?) so the price is also nice.

Crème -Maybelline - Dream Smooth Mousse
ksdjfklsdjf 8/18/2010 4:05:00 PM
I saw all the glowing reviews for this foundation and I knew I had to try it, because I always like to try new things. Right after I bought it I tested it on my hand in the car and it looked slightly too dark and I almost went back in to the store to get a lighter color. After about a minute it seemed to have blended in nicely to my hand, so I decided to just keep the color and try it at home. When I got home I washed my face and applied it. It gave the most beautiful finish I have ever seen (and again it took a minute for the color to blend to my skin). I set it with a powder and a little blush and loved the look. I looked in my dimmer bedroom light and it looked flawless. I looked in my harsh bathroom light and it looked surprisingly good. I lastly looked in natural sunlight and it looked great. I thought that this might be a perfect foundation except I found that after an hour of wear it makes my skin superrrr oily. I have combination skin but nothing I've tried has made my skin that oily before. I tried it off and on for about two weeks but I hated the oily feel and had to return it. I would completely recommend this to anyone with normal or dry skin because the finish is amazing but unfortunately it's a little too moisturizing for me.

Styling Products -Unlisted Brand - Generic Value Products-GVP Smoothing Serum Compare To: Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum
ksdjfklsdjf 7/29/2010 11:47:00 PM
I am so glad i heard about this product! I was always in lovee with the paul mitchell version since I tried it, but $30 for the bottle was a lot to me. I was always trying to find other products that compared but never liked anything as much until i tried this product. It works just the same as the super skinny serum but is much cheaper. It makes my hair dry quicker when i blow dry it and gives great results when i use this before i straighten it. Some people say it is too oily for their hair but honestly I have never had that problem. I guess it depends on your hair type (mine is pretty thick so maybe thinner hair would react differently to this product?) It makes my hair soft, shiny and best of all protected. Cant rave about this product enough. If you like the paul mitchell super skinny serum kind definitely give this one a try you'll be more than pleased.

Shampoo -Suave - Professionals Damage Care
ksdjfklsdjf 4/29/2010 11:47:00 PM
I was so excited when I picked this up. I saw the commercials and they definitely caught my attention, so I went to get this shampoo. I have really damaged hair from dying it and what not so I wanted to give this a try. I use Suave's regular shampoo so I figured I would try out their shampoo that claims to help with damaged hair. I actually was quite disappointed. Suave's regular shampoos always seemed to dry my hair a LITTLE but I never really cared because it kept my hair oil free for longer. However, with this shampoo I expected much different results than what I got. It dried my hair out even more than their regular shampoos and I was expecting it to be more moisturized not more dry! The first time I used it I thought maybe it wasn't the shampoo drying my hair. I used it a few days and had the same results so I switched to another shampoo and the ultra drying effect went away. A few weeks went by and this was still sitting in my shower and I thought I would give it another go. It dried my hair out again. It's a shame because I really wanted to like this. That's why I tried it so many times in hope that maybe it would work. It just didn't seem to work for me. If you want to try this out I would say go for it because it is a really good price and it does seem to work well for some... too bad I'm not one of them =/

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Extra-Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner
ksdjfklsdjf 4/8/2010 12:26:00 AM
This has a gorgeous rich deep color that makes my eyes stand out. Glides easily, stays put nicely and looks beautiful on my waterline and on my lid. This is by far the best eyeliner I have ever come across for the price and I would reccomend this to anyone who likes their eyeliner very dark.
