I'm in love with these lashes. They are inexpensive, look fairly natural, and the band is rather flexible. Big fan, will definitely buy these again.
BB Cream -Stila - Stay All Day 10-in-1 HD Beauty Balm
ksasi04 10/7/2012 7:49:00 PM
My general impression of this BB cream is that it does have most of the qualities I look for in a good BB: it's very light, very moisturizing, smells like nothing, and leaves a soft, silky finish. It makes my skin glow. However, it lacks coverage. You can still see my acne scars and imperfections, which does not happen with the higher quality Korean BB creams I own. This might be nice as like a tinted primer, but I was not super impressed with wearing it alone.
Moisturizers -Lancome - Bienfait Multi-Vital SPF 30
ksasi04 10/5/2012 3:47:00 PM
Luckily, this came in a sample for me. I typically don't like Lancome products for myself, but this cream is very smooth, has a high SPF, and smells pretty nice. Not chemical at all. I think I'm going to buy the full size once my deluxe sample runs out!
Highlighters -Lioele - Blooming Shimmer Pearl Base
ksasi04 10/5/2012 3:42:00 PM
I would NOT use this product as a primer. (It says it's a base, but I wouldn't recommend it as such.) However, I do find that it's a nice luminizing product. A little bit goes a long way, though, too much will make you look kind of oily.
This BB cream is definitely the smoothest I've tried. Good for oily skin, and blends very well with my olive skin. I just wish the coverage was a little bit better to hide my hyperpigmentation marks. Otherwise, a good BB cream.
Moisturizers -Clinique - Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief
ksasi04 10/5/2012 3:36:00 PM
A little bit of this product goes a very long way. I have oily skin, and this was surprisingly good for it. It didn't make me too oily and it went on very smoothly and absorbed quickly. My sister, who has dry skin, uses this everyday as well. In general, I think it's a good moisturizer for anyone.
Skincare - Face -Clinique - Acne Solutions Line (all products)
ksasi04 10/5/2012 3:34:00 PM
These acne products are very gentle on my skin and worked very quickly to get rid of my blemishes. They weren't over-drying, but I wish it came with a better moisturizer like the Moisture Surge. That worked really well with this kit, by the way. Anyway, highly recommended!
Palettes -Tokidoki - Tokidoki Arte Palette Sandy in the City
ksasi04 10/1/2012 5:04:00 PM
I like these eyeshadows. They blend well and the colors go pretty well together. I love the portability, and I like that they last me the day. Color payoff is not so great, even with primer, but I think the packaging is adorable and I like the magnetic close. These palettes are $4 at Sephora since they will be out of stock soon, so get 'em while they're hot!
Got these on sale at Sephora before Tokidoki makeup left for good. THEY'RE SO CUTE! And they're really soft and did I mention how cute they are? Would buy again, but they're sold out :(
The packaging super cute, but the pros of this mascara pretty much end there. It doesn't coat the lashes very nicely, and it's kind of flaky.
Eyeliner -Urban Decay - 24-7 Glide on eyeliner in bourbon
ksasi04 9/25/2012 9:49:00 AM
I'm a big fan of this eyeliner. It goes on creamy and shiny and lasts pretty much the whole day. I purchased the ocho loco set, and it was a pretty good deal for 8 full sized eyeliners. Definitely try this out.
Concealers -TheBalm - Liquid TimeBalm Spot Concealer
ksasi04 9/25/2012 9:42:00 AM
This concealer was a bit too yellow for my skin tone, but what's great about it is the tea tree oil. It's an all natural product, and it both covers and treats acne spots. It's not oily and blends very well. I don't particularly like that it's a wand, but it makes application easier and it coats thinly.
Primer/ Corrector -Murad - Hybrids Skin Perfecting Primer Matte Finish.
ksasi04 9/25/2012 9:31:00 AM
Love the packaging, it's a pump which is more sanitary than a tube or jar. Love the tint, it's great for darker, more oily skin. I use this with a bit of concealer and then a tinted pressed powder as my daily makeup routine. Keeps my makeup from sliding around, and keeps my face looking matte all day. Awesome product for me.
I like this stain. It looks pretty natural, but it fades after a little while so you have to keep applying it throughout the day. Also, use a lip balm with it, since most stains tend to be rather drying.
Concealers -Bare Escentuals - Correcting Concealer
ksasi04 9/24/2012 10:51:00 PM
I like this concealer for spot coverage, but not for under eye coverage. It is creamy and lightweight, and honestly, I tend to use this more than the foundation just because it feels less cakey. After going over the ingredients list: Alumina was not listed first, but Titanium Dioxide 15.0% was. And quite frankly, I believe that's more dangerous than Alumina. However, it's found in so many sunscreens and cosmetic products, if you really want to steer clear of it, you'd have to replace everything in your beauty pantry! I'd rather have the sun protection, myself. But if you were to go for a cheaper, less natural alternative, those products contain Parabens, which are suspected of being carcinogenic. So I'm going to continue using this product to stay away from the parabens.
