Lipstick -Kose - Esprique Precious - Moist On Rouge

I have it in PK831 and it's in warm tone pink. Got it from a warehouse sales for about RM40, which I think is 50% off the suggested retail price. I personally don't find it drying on the lips and it suits my yellow-toned fair Asian skin really well. Goes well with sweet-looking eye makeup and does not make me look wash out. Gotta love Japanese lipsticks!
I didn't really like their previous range of shadows, whereby the shadows were coded. They are powdery and not that pigmented. The new range however, is called Illusion Lights. I have it in Forever & Ever and Iced Brownie and I totally heart both of them! The packaging looks more expensive than the previous range and it comes with a mirror in it, which comes in handy for touch ups. The amount of the product is the same: 1.5g/0.053 oz. As for pigmentation, Illusion Lights series' shadows are highly pigmented!! What you see in the pan is what you'll get on your lids Texture wise, Illusion Lights series' feels really soft while the previous range feels powdery and hard. It does not crease on the crease-less me lol. Forever & Ever : Champagne colour with a little bit of pink and beige undertones. I use it when I want to have nude makeup. Shimmery and slightly frosty. Iced Brownie: My favourite! Cool-toned taupe. I like to wear it alone or use it for daytime smokey eyes. Shimmery. The only gauge is that before the end of the day, the brown will have smeared to my outer corner of my lower lids. (that's because I laugh too much !) But I can bear with that, I'd just bring a q-tips along when I go out. I will get the gold and their darkest shade of brown next time :)
Eye Primer -Red Earth Cosmetics - Eye Make Up Base

I got this "Eye Perfection Primer" for free when I bought 2 Illusion Lights Eyeshadow. Its original price is RM45, which is about USD13. You get 3g / 0.11oz of product in this sleek round silver case. It comes with a mirror inside, which I really like. It's quite a lot of product considering the tiny amount that I need to use. The cream spreads easily, and dries to powder form, providing a matte surface for eyeshadow. It appears yellow beige on my skin, which is the exact match for my fair asian complexion, so I am not sure if it will work on tanned skin. I use this daily to even out my uneven coloured eyelids and most importantly, to conceal my dark undereye circles! It works really well for those 2 functions. It also does its job in bringing out the true colour of powder/liquid/cream eyeshadow! However, the staying power of eyeliners and eyeshadows are not greatly enhanced. Even so for Red Earth's eyeshadow! They only last for about half a day or so, depending on the environment, then it started to smear. It smears even faster if I laughed too much! Well, I have oily lids. I do not experience creasing since I have no crease anyway! I'm a monolid (with heavy lids) and I LOVE using it to brighten my eye area, so that I don't look tired and sleepy in the mornings. Will find other ways to make my liners stay! Edit: found another HG -> UDPP! Hence I'm not going to repurchase this.
Lip Gloss -Kose - Beaute de Kose Rouge Fantasist BE306

This colour really suits my yellow-undertone skin. It makes my skin look brighter, and most importantly, it makes my lips appear fuller. The shine is not too much for me, just right, so that my lips does not appear to be oily. The colour is a little dark or too obvious for a daytime outing for me, probably because I prefer to wear a sheer gloss during normal daytime outing. However, it is subtle enough to wear it to a workplace, and yet perfect to wear it for a night outing. Great to go with a heavier eye makeup, too, as the colour is rather natural - Beige Rosewood. I apply a little more on my lower lip to make it appear fuller and sexier. I also apply slightly out-of-the-lip-line of my lower lip. The liquid is rather thick and is very pigmented, so it hides my darker upper lip quite well. And oh, it makes my lips a liiiiiittle dry after a whole day. But it's okay. Quite long lasting for a rouge. I had it on for like, 4, 5 hours, and at the end of the day, there is still a thin layer of sheer colour on my lips.
Moisturizers -Artistry - Light Reflective Lotion spf 15-sheer radiance

It works really great as an illuminator or a makeup base. It gives my yellow-toned Asian skin a blushing tint and makes my pores appear smaller or disappear due to the illuminating factor. However, I have to use quite an amount for the whole face and neck. It is not cheap, either. Using this alone is actually sufficient for daytime. Applying it before foundation makes my pores disappear and the makeup more natural looking. It just gives you a healthy glow. Edit: Somehow I feel it gives an oily appearance due to the warm weather I live in. Not going to repurchase.
i LOVE the sweet floral scent! My bf bought it for me as my birthday present because he love the scent. It is not too sweet and not subtle. However, the scent does not last at all, and I have to spray at least 3 times for others to be able to smell it.
Moisturizers -Kanebo - Freshel White C Whitening Milk

I've combination skin and I'm using the (M) version, the moisturising one. It is a little oily for me to use during the day. It feels sticky on the skin after applying. So I only use it at night. It does brighten up my already fair but uneven Asian skin tone. I like the content - Vitamin C :) Edit: Still can't take the oiliness of it!
Mascara -Fasio - Power-Stay Mascara 3D Curl Volume
kristinteo 4/28/2007 2:59:00 PM
The first mascara that I bought was from Fasio. Since then, I've been using Fasio all the way until now. This has a better curling effect compared to the older generations of Fasio mascara. However, due to my stiff Asian lashes, it does limited curling power on me. I must use a curler before applying any mascara. But I have to agree that it does a great job in volumnising my lashes! 1 layer is enough for me. It is difficult to coat every lash nicely though, as the brush it a little big. So sometimes i will end up applying too much and have too thick and unnatural lashes. FYI, I prefer to have natural make up for the daytime. It is smudge-free, lasts for the whole day, yet, it forms clumps if you do not apply it carefully. I have to use an eyelashes comb to seperate my lashes. I'll use a hair-dryer to heat up the metal comb for a few seconds and comb through, for a more natural look. It does not lengthen my lashes, so i always use a lengthening mascara before it. But note that it is difficult to remove for many people. Using Fasio's eye make-up remover will rectify the problem. But I am able to remove it quite easily with Artistry's Eye and Lip Makeup Remover. You just have to hold the cotton pad on your lashes a little longer.
I have 2 in Milky Pink and Bright Pink. The milky pink makes my lip's fine lines disappear but the colour is very light. As for the Bright Pink, it is not bright at all! I can hardly see any colour, it's only a translucent layer, and maybe with a SLIGHT tint of pink. However, I love the texture and the shine it gives to my lips. It does not dry out my lips like most other lip glosses does. I'd even use it as a lip moisturiser when I was o n an exchange programme to Norway during winter. I'
I bought it from a warehouse sale at a dirt cheap price. Even much cheaper than Maybelline's foundation! But so far I have not found any flaws with it, yet. This lightweight foundation evens out my fair asian skintone perfectly. No one can tell that I've make up on whenever I'm using it. However, it does not really provide any coverage, and it does not last for a whole day. It feels a liiiittle greasy when you first apply it. I like the orange scent though. I'm using 03 Nude Beach.
Mascara -Maybelline - Unstoppable Mascara [DISCONTINUED]
kristinteo 4/28/2007 2:17:00 PM
I'm currently using my 2nd Unstoppable, as the first one has already dried out. I was quite satisfied with the first one (Brown). However, as I'm using the second one (Very Black), my eyelashes tend to stick together. Well, maybe I have had too much mascara on the brush. Both mascaras weight down my nicely curled lashes. It does not have any curling effect on me, but it does have a little bit of lengthening effect. Well, I don't expect much for the price though. And, yeah, my lashes feel stiff, too. Maybe I shall try XXL next time.
