Eye Shadow -Natio - eyeshadow
rated 4 of 5
kristina_145 2/18/2007 11:53:00 PM

I have the Natio eyeshadow in Rain, which is a dark teal/green colour. It looks very nice with my hazel eyes, and brings out the green in them. The shadow is soft and easy to apply. It is sheer so it's perfect for a more natural look. The only complaint I would have is that it doesn't stay on my lids for the whole day, after about 4 hours it fades. I sometimes use this with MAC's powerpoint liner in sagegrass on my bottom lash line and together they make a nice pretty look, that isn't over the top. :)

Mascara -Estee Lauder - Lash XL
rated 3 of 5
kristina_145 2/18/2007 11:48:00 PM

This was my first high-end mascara that I tried. I received a sample with a magazine in black and absolutely fell in love with it. It lengthened my lashes so well, at the same time seperating every lash while coating it and there were no clumps! It was a very glamourus yet a natural look, and my lashes didn't look like spider legs. My lashes looked stunning. However, since I purchased a full size, in brown, I have been dissapointed to say the least. Firstly, the smell was horrible, it smelt like something died in that tube, which i didn't notice with the sample. The consistency of the mascara was very thick and it clumped on my lashes terribly. It tends to accumulate at the roots of the lashes and doesn't coat as well on the ends, and it makes my lashes appear uneven and sparse. I have since then moved onto diorshow, which i prefer, and also next on the to try list ysl faux cils.

Moisturizers -Natio - Natural Vitamin E Moisturising Cream
rated 5 of 5
kristina_145 2/18/2007 11:37:00 PM

I love this cream over the warmer months. It is light and moisturises my combination skin, which leans on the oily side well. It doesn't clog pores. It is natural, and doesn't irritate the eye area. Melts into moist skin and feels very nice. I enjoy the fragrance and would highly reccommend to everyone, even with sensitive skin.

Misc Beauty Tools -Tweezerman - tweezers
rated 5 of 5

I have the slant tweezers in lavender. They are the holy grail of all tweezers. Nothing gets as close to the small tiny hairs as this does without scratching and irritation the skin. They also come with a lifetime warranty, so if the tweezers are no longer sharp enough, you just send them to the specified address and they are sharpened free of charge. They also look so pretty in my make-up bag, and a pleasure to use. I will definetly buy more - in different colours, to keep in the car, at work etc. :)

Eyeliner -MAC - Powerpoint - Sagegrass
rated 4 of 5
kristina_145 2/18/2007 11:15:00 PM

MAC's powerpoint eye pencil in Sagegrass is a pretty light aqua with a grey tingle and a tiny bit of glitter. It is classified as metallic. I find that it doesn't help to define my hazel eyes, however it looks pretty on the bottom lashline and inner corner. It is waterproof so it stays with you throught the rain and tears, and you need a good strong eye make up remover. Overall a nice, pretty colour and I will be buying more powerpoint pencils in other shades to keep this one company.

Concealers -Stila - Perfecting Concealer
rated 4 of 5
kristina_145 2/18/2007 11:09:00 PM

Stila's Perfecting Concealer, in shade B is a perfect match to my pale skin. It is creamy and thicker than Dior's anti-cernes. I use this also to cover small blemishes on my face and it really helps me achieve and air-brushed finish. There is no chemical smell or irritation. It is perfect! :) Just to add, I find that it works much better with the concealer brush #26 rather than just fingers.

Makeup Brushes -Stila - #26 Perfecting Concealer Brush
rated 5 of 5
kristina_145 2/18/2007 11:06:00 PM

I love this brush! I use this in combination with Dior's anticernes concealer as well as stila's perfecting concealer. It works wonderfully under the eyes to blend the concealer, as well as a dot here and there on blemishes on the face. I also sometimes use this to apply my eyeshadows, when waiting for my brushes to dry and it works well there too. A fantastic mutli-purpase tool and well worth every cent :)

Makeup Brushes -NARS - Wide Contour Brush 16
rated 4 of 5
kristina_145 2/18/2007 11:02:00 PM

The wide contour brush is fantastic for doing an all-over wash of colour. I also sometimes use this for highlighting my brow bone. I purchased this brush off ebay, and have a feeling that it is a fake. I would reccommend anyone considering purchasing a make-up brush to do so from a reputable seller, so you don't get ripped off.

Treatments -Avene - Cleanance K
rated 5 of 5
kristina_145 2/18/2007 10:57:00 PM

I love Cleanance K! My skin has improved dramatically since using this as a make up base. My skintone is more even and i don't get as many blemishes. It is also fantastic for drying out annoying pimples. It contains AHA's and BHA's which work to exfoliate the skin chemically. It is a staple in my skin care routine. :)

Loose Powders -Jurlique - Lavender Silk Dust
rated 5 of 5
kristina_145 2/18/2007 10:52:00 PM

Jurlique Lavender Silk dust is a life saver for anyone who gets an oily t-zone. I just dust it lightly over the area and i don't get shiny in the middle of the day anymore. It smells nice too. You only need a tiny bit and the tub is a generous size, so you wont be running out of for a long time. You can also use it under your arms and it seems to work well there too. A fabulous product from an Australian company :)

Treatments (Eye) -Mavala - Double-Lash
rated 4 of 5
kristina_145 2/18/2007 10:44:00 PM

Double-Lash is a fabulous lash conditioner. I apply it every night after cleansing and moisturising my face. You can really tell the difference the next morning when applying mascara - my lashes feel much nicer and the mascara goes on better and lashes look longer and fuller. I have been lazy and didn't apply double-lash a couple of nights, and my lashes were terrible the next day. In terms of permanent lengthening or improving lashes, I haven't noticed anything. My only compaint would be the packaging, it's like a little medicine bottle but with a small lash wand attached to the cap. It's rather difficult to get the product out when you're half way through the bottle. A mascara tube would have been more convenient. Love it for the price :)

Concealers -Christian Dior - Anticerne Concealer
rated 5 of 5
kristina_145 2/18/2007 10:35:00 PM

CD's Anticerne Perfecteur - Long-wearing moisturising concealer, is the best under eye concealer i have tried so far. It melts into my skin (after some blending) and it looks and feels great. You just need a little bit, however it doesn't cover dark circles completely, which is why it looks and feels natural instead of cakey. It is very moisturising, so it can look a bit shiny, but a little bit of powder sets it perfectly. I have the shade 410, which is yellow based. I will repurchase in a lighter shade next time, so it matches my pale skin better. The only bad thing I can say about it is that it stings if you get a bit in your eye, but other than that I love it! :)

Foundations -Givenchy - Sublimine
rated 5 of 5
kristina_145 1/7/2007 10:44:00 PM

I bought this foundation from Strawberry net, for a slightly reduced price. At the time I was having a bad break out and could not use it as it didn't cover much. However now, my skin is in a much better condition, and I absolutely LOVE it! It is almost like a tinted moisturiser. I have it in #103 Exact Cream, and while it is yellow based, and just a tad dark for my skin tone (i am pale), good blending makes it look natural. It has a slight 'pearly' sheen, and a dewy finish, which looks very flattering. What I love most about it is that it makes your skin glow, like from within, and it has a very natural finish - does not make you look made up. It's best to use on your 'good skin' days, to make it look great. I would definitely pay full price if I had to, worth every cent :)

Lipstick -Clinique - Colour Surge - Coral Crush
rated 4 of 5
kristina_145 11/21/2006 4:25:00 AM

Clinique's Colour Surge in coral crush is a very good quality lipstick and it definitely gives you a 'colour surge' as it is so pigmented. I have very pale skin and dark hair with hazel eyes, and this tends to bring out the green in my eyes for some reason. It is too orange straight out of the tube, I apply with fingers and it's purfect! :)

Eyeliner -Christian Dior - Crayon Eyeliner
rated 5 of 5
kristina_145 11/21/2006 4:05:00 AM

I have CD crayon eyeliner in grey, and it is fantastic quality. It comes with it's very own sharpener, one end is the liner and the other end is the 'smudge' tip. I have hazel eyes and the grey makes them look fantastic without being too strong (like black can be). This is my first CD liner and I will certainly be purchasing more colours.
