Lip Treatments -L'Occitane - 10% shea butter anti-drying lip balm
kristenmc1218 3/18/2007 1:20:00 PM
This stuff is utterly hideous--from the sandy texture to the old-lady perfumey smell to the overall lack of moisturizing effectiveness--this is the WORST lip balm I have ever tried. Try Chickenpoop or drugstore anything over this!

Eyeliner -Stila - Smudge Pot in Navy
kristenmc1218 7/21/2006 6:09:00 PM
Oh--I am sorry to see the negatives because I LOVE a true navy, and that's what this is: the color of a naval pea coat! Looks beautiful w. my hazel eyes and cool ppp skin. Will definitely buy again!

Lip Gloss -MAC - song and dance lipglass

Love this MLBB gloss! I am not into shimmery right now, and this just adds a wee bit of pink and shine and looks natural & lovely.

Lips -MAC - Lustre in Lovelorn
kristenmc1218 7/18/2006 10:21:00 AM
This is just eh. I am very cool-toned, and this very cool light yet hot pink just does not flatter. Stila's Liza is similar & much prettier IMO.

Styling Products -Aveda - Light Elements Finishing Solution
kristenmc1218 7/18/2006 10:18:00 AM
I was hoping to find my HG smoothing product here, but nope. I have medium-length fine, straight hair & no matter how I apply this, it just makes my hair too soft (and/or dirty looking) & does NOT tame flyaways. There is nothing worse hair-wise IMO than washing your hair and then applying a VERY EXPENSIVE product that makes it look as if you have not showered in five days. Grrrr...

Lipstick -MAC - Lustre Capricious
kristenmc1218 7/18/2006 10:11:00 AM
Love this! It is a rosy, plummy, sheer, moisturizing, beautiful lippie on this NW20. I love Paula Dorf's Havana and Clinique's Almost Blush, and this is a very similar color. I like it much better than Sophisto because it does not have the coppery tones.

Blush -Giorgio Armani - Sheer Blush #1
kristenmc1218 7/18/2006 10:08:00 AM
I have about 30 blushes, almost all of them high end, and this is my favorite. I wish I got it before all those other ones. It is subtle and lovely and melts into the skin and looks totally natural on my NW20 face. If you prefer a highly pigmented NARS-type blush, this may not be for you, and I also would not try it if youare MMM or darker, but for the pasty clan who likes a natural look, this may be your HG!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Pigment-Shimmertime
kristenmc1218 7/3/2006 6:54:00 PM
I agree with the reviewers who say this is lovely--I loved Goldenaire, but this is even prettier, in my view. Just brings light to the eyes & is more neutral than Goldenaire & Deckchair--it is cooler but not too cool. Gorgeous!

Lip Gloss -MAC - Lustreglass in Flusterose
kristenmc1218 7/3/2006 2:35:00 PM
Flusterose is gorgeous & I love the lustreglasses, having just discovered them. They are particularly nice over lipstick, and I like this over Lovelorn for a pouty cool pink shine.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Lustreglass - Wonderstruck

I have been looking for a corally lipcolor that I can pull off w. my very cool tones & this is lovely. Very pretty over VGV, too.

Eye Shadow -NARS - Sandra duo
kristenmc1218 6/18/2006 1:16:00 PM
I swapped the Iceland duo for this, and I'm glad I did. I was afraid it would look horrid w. my cool NW20 skintone, but it is lovely and glowy--subtle pigmentation as always w. NARS e/s. Rather than silver and gold, it is more of a silvery lavender & buttery bone on me. May be my favorite NARS duo so far!

Lipstick -Chanel - Aqualumiere Santa Barbara
kristenmc1218 6/17/2006 3:56:00 PM
Very pretty, but I actually prefer Paula Dorf's Spunky for a very similar color & effect, but Spunky is not at all frosty, and this is, a bit. This reminds me of a slightly frosty version of Clinique's Black Honey with a bit less brown.

Eye Shadow -Chanel - Dunes Quad
kristenmc1218 6/12/2006 7:54:00 PM
This is my first Chanel quad, and I adore it. The shadows are silky, super soft & blendable, and not overly pigmented (which I like). They are truly elegant. The colors are a silvery semi-shimmery taupe, a sheer semi-shimmery light peach, a matte ecru, and a matte cool dark brown. They look natural and stunning together and bring life to the eyes without screaming "EYE SHADOW"! All of this I love, and I imagine the colors would flatter most. I am NW20 (cool-toned lll/ppp). Can't wait to get more of these!

Powders -Physicians Formula - Pearls of Perfection - Translucent
kristenmc1218 6/11/2006 1:24:00 PM
I think this is an amazing drugstore product--evens out the skin and is slightly illuminating. What's not to like for $12.00?

Blush -Stila - Rose Convertible Color
kristenmc1218 6/11/2006 10:24:00 AM
I like this--reminds me of my fave cream blush Paula Dorf's Candy Apple, but this can be used on the lips. Very long lasting. It is pretty but maybe a bit brown on my NW20 complexion!
