I LOVE this blush! Don't be fooled by the super hot pink color in the compact, this blush goes on much more light. It gives my cheeks a natural looking glow and nice pop of color. Smooth texture and glides on evenly.

Lipstick -Revlon - ColorBurst Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti
rated 4 of 5

I bought this product as an impulse purchase while I was out of town and was pleasantly surprised. It's super moisturizing so, as a chapstick hoarder, it's nice to be able to use a lipcolor in place of chapstick at times. The color looks like a super bright coral in the tube, but it actually goes on fairly sheer. I don't mind and just build the color up when applying, but I guess I could say that's a con if you're looking for an instantly bright color with one application. However, I've found that it's a pretty versatile color that looks good with minimal makeup or a full-on evening face (just be prepared for a few touch-ups since it wears off a bit.) I'd definitely but it again and wouldn't mind looking into the other colors available.

Moisturizers -Philosophy - Take a Deep Breath Oil Free Energizing Gel Cream Moisturizer
rated 2 of 5

I was using Philosophy's Miracle Worker moisturizer but, since that runs almost $60 a pop, I was determined to find a less expensive yet top-notch replacement. Que Take a Deep Breath. I didn't notice a tremendous difference at first and was quite pleased...then five minutes later my face started to feel dry on my cheeks and forehead. Miracle Worker is a little thicker so I thought maybe I need a tad more of Take a Deep Breath. Again, five minutes later and my cheeks and chin were dry feeling again. This moisturizer just doesn't do it for me. I feel like I have to put a lot of it on just to get my face feeling hydrated but then later in the day my face is dry and even slightly flaky in some areas (as an FYI, I don't use any acne-fighting products and did not change my facewash or makeup while using this moisturizer.) I don't know if the change to slightly colder weather had anything to do with my skin being so dry, but I'd at least expect the moisturizer to work somewhat. It's too bad, though. I really loved my previous Philosophy moisturizer and had high hopes for this one.

Powder -Bare Escentuals - Bare Minerals in 1.2, fairly light
rated 1 of 5

Like I wrote in my review for their Mineral Veil, I used to like Bare Minerals up until a couple of years ago. The foundation just didn't work for me at all. Even though I have combo skin I'm a bit more on the oily side, but this foundation made my face feel like an oil slick. The product would tend to sit in the few lines I have and made my pores more noticeable. My mom and I began to refer to the Bare Minerals foundation as "Tin Man makeup", because we found it made the texture of our skin look a lot like the Tin Man's in The Wizard of Oz.

Loose Powders -Bare Escentuals - Mineral Veil

I used to really like Bare Escentuals's face products, but I've changed my tune after the past couple of years. I've used the Mineral Veil as a setting powder after applying foundation and concealer, and the results are just disappointing. Instead of a flawless finish, my skin looked very very dry and blotchy. I've also found that it doesn't even do that great of a job of keeping my foundation in place.
