Liquid -L'Oreal - True Match Super-Blendable Makeup SPF 17

I'm pretty impressed to say the least with this foundation. My color is C2, and while I do have neutral undertones I don't find that this enhances redness at all. In fact, I think this foundation evens my skintone beautifully. I tried this foundation years ago, but in W1, and hated it! I found that it was way to orange. Anyway, this foundation is super blendable and is of medium coverage. I was told the other day that I looked better than I had in a long time, and believe me that is saying a lot! I'm 12 weeks into my pregnancy and have been battling all day "morning-sickness" so this foundation definitely brightened my face. I also want to point out that I do have normal-dry skin and this foundation does not "stick" to dry spots. I do wear a moisturizer underneath which is a must for any foundation I wear.
A foreword to the reviewer who ranted about us women who rated this product poorly and received absolutely NO pigmentation from this blush (to find review simply click on most helpful reviews and scroll towards the bottom of the page: First of all, if this blush were being used on a corpse it would make more sense that it would show up more, obviously. So that point is NULL and VOID. Secondly, what you may call "goof proof" is what I consider to be a complete and utter waste of money and time. Third, you honestly think this blush provides enough color to make ANYONE look alive? I think many of us will beg to differ. And, lastly this site was made for sharing experiences with products, whether negative or positive. Just because you like a certain product doesn't mean everyone else will. It's called having freedom of opinion, and giving open, honest feedback. This should be sold as a highlighter and most certainly shouldn't be described as "buildable." There is NO color payoff whatsoever and I'm incredibly disappointed with Maybelline for selling such a crap product that is way too expensive for drug store blush. I wouldn't even recommend paying a dime for this, let alone $8 bucks that could have went toward department store blush. I recently bought a blush from Neutrogena (in the awake line) and that also provided no color payoff. I bought this at Kroger, so I'm not even sure if they'll take it back with the receipt, but I'm sure as heck going to try. Please just save your money and go to Sephora or Mac.
Blush -Maybelline - Dream Bouncy Blush - Orchid Hush

This product is too expensive to be as sheer as it is. It is more or less a highlighter with a very, VERY faint tint. I loved the color in the package, but too bad the pigment sucks as is the case with many drug store blushes (save for Loreal).
Cleansers -Ponds - Luminous Clean Daily Exfoliating Cleanser
kristalblair 2/19/2013 10:37:00 PM
Cleared up my acne and doesn't overdry my sensitive skin. I recommend!
I like this shampoo okay, but it is nothing spectacular and definitely not what I've come to expect from Redken. I wish this shampoo had a different scent because I love for my hair to smell delicious, and unfortunately this just smells like bar soap. It leaves my hair feeling decently soft, but with this comes the greasiness the next morning. I would probably purchase this again if it were on sale, but otherwise I'm still on the hunt for a HG shampoo. By the way I have fine, medium-thick hair.
Nice perfume but it is so easy to go overboard and spray too much. I have the eau de toilette and it is still very strong. The initial spray is very fresh and crisp, but that goes away soon into something sweeter (almost candyish, but still maintains a fruit element). I also detect a floral in the midnote. The dry down a bit musky, while still maintaining the fruity/floral element. Overall I like this fragrance, but it is not my favorite and I loathe the bottle because of the round metal wire behind the atomizer and the fact it does not have a cap. Is this little metal thing really supposed to keep it from spritzing in my purse?! Either way, I much prefer light, fruity scents and this is a little heavy for me taste. I will probably have this little 1 oz. bottle for awhile.
Lotions/ Creams -Kiss My Face - Honey & Calendula Moisturizer
kristalblair 2/14/2012 10:40:00 AM
I like this a lot, and just to clarify on someone else's post this no longer contains mineral oil as the third ingredient so hooray on that or else it wouldn't be very natural now would it?! As for it's moisturizing properties I think it does an okay job, but I use it more for the healing properties. It is very thick, but if you apply it right after washing your face with warm water you will find that it sinks right into your skin instantaneously. It didn't act as a barrier on my skin which I somewhat prefer as well because my skin feels quite dry and chapped in the winter. Since it does sink in like it does, my skin seems to drink in all the benefits this has to offer and my blemishes heal much more quickly and it is helping to fade some hyperpigmentation. The only thing I do not like is when I wake up in the morning (after applying at night) my face feels dry.
Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Ed Hardy Perfume - Love Kills Slowly Women's EDT
kristalblair 2/14/2012 12:47:00 AM
I had smelt a few Ed Hardy fragrances before purchasing this and I really quite liked one of them one and so I bought this thinking it was the one I really liked, but unfortunately I was in for a letdown when I opened the packaging and smelled the perfume. It just isn't anything fantastic, and at first I just didn't like it at all. It was just too strong in a headache inducing way. It is not sweet in a gourmand type of way, but rather sweet as in mango or melons. I was hoping this was the banana type scent of Ed Hardy's but alas it wasn't, and I've grown to sort of like this. It is still nothing special and lasting power is medium-eh (probably 3-4 hours).
For a razor this little thing is quite expensive, but I really like it. I think a lot of people are just using this without shaving gel or body wash, but I definitely use it with shaving gel. I don't trust that the little gel bars are enough. I just look at it as being a cool addition that adds moisture. Very pleased, but will probably purchase a regular venus head next time.
This is the only product that cleared my skin when I was having hideous cystic breakouts. I didn't necessarily have a lot of acne, but the spots I did have were treacherous looking and were painful to the touch. I was finally able to stop using this product after about a month, but fast-forward a couple years and I started breaking out lightly again. My jaw line was getting a bunch of little bumps and I was getting several cystic pimples at once along with a whitehead or two. So, after using my all natural homeopathic skin care products to no avail I found some old bottles of this cleanser and moisturizer laying around (only wish I could find the matching toner, but oh well). After just one use last night I woke up with much clearer skin. The bumps have almost gone completely down. I think I may be breaking out due to the grease filled air in the restaurant I'm working in. I also carry trays and sometimes I bump my face onto them or the even worse, the greasy Chinese food! Anyways, I'm thrilled with the results, and always have been. Pro-activ did NOT work for me. The only downfall to this product is that it will dry the skin out and if you have oily skin it may cause an overproduction in oil due to the dryness. I can handle the dryness by using a good moisturizer though.
I loved this luminous finish and light-weight feel of this foundation, BUT after using this for a week I'm pretty sure it's the culprit in my sudden breakout. I developed a bunch of rash like bumps around my jaw line only after using this, but I thought it could have been due to a new cleanser I had started using. I'm going to keep the cleanser out of my routine for another week and will update as to whether this is the true culprit. I hope not because it would have been my FAVORITE foundation! :(
Moisturizers -Yes To Carrots - Yes to Cucumbers Facial Hydrating Lotion
kristalblair 10/5/2011 8:50:00 AM
I love this because it moisturizes so well, but I'm not fond of the packaging, because as you pump the little lever like thing moves up and it seems like the product runs out soooo quickly. I know it's just one ounce, but I feel like I'm not getting my money's worth. I think this company should definitely make a bigger, more economical bottle (even a 1.7 oz would be better). I mean this is good at moisturizing my skin, but so are a lot of other products. I still give this a four because the ingredients are pretty top notch and it keeps my dry-ish skin hydrated.
Cleansers -Yes To Carrots - Yes To Blueberries Brightening Facial Towelettes
kristalblair 10/5/2011 8:35:00 AM
I always use the Yes To Cucumbers towelettes, but decided to give these a try since they were both moisturizing and cleansing. To be perfectly honest I wasn't impressed when I first started using these at night b/c they weren't wet enough (unlike the Yes To Cucumbers which are super moist), but I came up with a wonderful idea to make them work better, which was to add a bit of water to the wipe! Wow, and what a difference it made! It made the ingredients from the wipe come out of the towelette more and it allowed the towelette to remove all of my makeup from my skin including mascara and eyeliner/eyeshadow. This morning I woke up with the softest skin ever, and I didn't even use moisturizer. I will continue purchasing these along with the Yes to Cucumbers towelettes. I also can't wait to try more products from this line. Pros: Smells Great Keeps skin soft and supple Biodegradable 99% au natural Cons: Not moist enough Suggestion: ADD WATER TO WIPE
Eyeliner -MAC - Fluidline Eye-Liner Gel in Blacktrack
kristalblair 9/9/2011 8:56:00 AM
At first I did not like this product because I didn't think the application was smooth enough and I didn't like the end result which ended up looking rigid, instead of smooth and glossy. Well, my opinion soon changed after purchasing my first ever Mac brush (yay) the 266! It really makes a difference because the liner looks so much more neat and opaque and it is soooo easy to make a cat eye look with this. I even left the lid open for three hours and to my surprise it didn't dry out (thank goodness!) I definitely recommend buying this, but keep in mind you will need the accommodating brush unless you have a great angled brush already.
Lotions/ Creams -Bodycology - Brown Sugar Vanilla Hand & Body Lotion
kristalblair 8/21/2011 3:13:00 AM
This hand/body lotion smells pretty good and moisturizes decently. Although I find myself having to reapply frequently on my hands so I'm thinking it may have too much alcohol in it. Other than that, I like this lotion and always keep it on my desk. The smell also lingers for awhile, which is a plus.
