I use Junkisei Cleansing Oil first, massage it in my face, and it completely takes off waterproof mascara. i wash it off with water and my orange peel soap. After, i use this, the junkisei lotion, which acts as a toner. it thoroughly cleans my skin. I had great skin when i was young, but as i got older, i would have whiteheads on my forehead. of course, i would get regular monthly facials to clean my skin and make it smooth until i discovered this. i have clear skin now and i will continue to purchase this forever. will never stray! ladies, once you find hg, dont leave! this is my hg skincare line. i follow with moisturizer, i use olay totaleffects, but once i finish it, i will replace with the junkisei moisturizer. love love love forever.
This is the best cleanser ever. I use waterproof mascara on a daily basis, and i just clean my face using two drops of the kose cleansing oil. i use the junkisei cleansing oil but i would think the sekkisei one works great as well. i wash the oil off using my orange peel soap and follow it with the junkisei lotion which is like a toner. amazing! my skin has never been this clear. i used to get small whiteheads on my forehead but now, my skin is sooo smooth. of course, i follow with moisturizer after. i found my hg skincare line and i will use forever.
This is my favorite foundation. It's practically HG. It was my first ever foundation because the first make up artist who did my face used this. After finishing my first compact, I strayed to Shu Uemura, Chanel Teint Innocence, Make Up Forever Liquid Lift, MUFE HD and Laura Mercier Silk Creme. However, I was always unsatisfied with the finishes of these foundations. Recently, I decided to buy this again in NC40 and i've renewed my love for it. It looks natural, doesn't break me out like MUFE HD and have received lots of compliments about how clear my skin is with this. I will repurchase forever and never stray again. When you find something that works, don't break it!
Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation

I really wanted to like this because it's Kim K's foundation. I've been holding off buying it because I was finishing up my LM Silk Creme, but when I had to travel to Taiwan with my husband and I knew I was going to take a lot of pictures, I finally gave in and bought it. Huge mistake. My skin is not sensitive, but when I started using it, I developed acne. I'm pretty sure it's the foundation because I usually only get zits on my forehead when it's the time of the month, but when I started using this, I started getting zits on my cheeks. Granted, my skin still looked flawless in the pictures, but I could see zits cropping up. Immediately when I got back from my vacation, I stopped using MUFE HD, and started using LM Silk Creme, and all my zits went away one by one. I feel so sad because I don't know what to do with it, it's not cheap, and we have a no return policy here in the Philippines, but for sure, I won't let that foundation touch my face again. Loved the packaging though. If only it did not break me out.
I've had this product for like years, but I never really bothered to use it for my waterline, and when I used it on my lid, it smudged easily and faded, so I would use Blacktrack MAC Fluidline for my lid. But since fluidline was always fading on my waterline, just today, I tried my old E-10 Prestige eyeliner and I set it with black shadow on my waterline, and I am amazed. It's been eleven (11) hours and it hasn't budged on my waterline. Must have.
Makeup Brushes -MAC - 188 Small Duo Fibre Face brush

My husband got this for me for Christmas. I was using the body shop foundation brush, but i noticed that i was starting to get streaks from the application of foundation, so I had to swirl it to get rid of the streaks, but I was reading that there was a better brush out there and that foundation had to be stippled. I couldn't bring myself to pay that amount for a MAC stippling brush, because with that amount, you can actually already get a full brush set of other brands (of course the quality is not the same, but still). Anyhow, my husband finally said he would just get me this brush for Christmas. I was choosing between the 187 and 188, but after careful consideration and testing on my face, I realized that the 188 gave more control in stippling (even if it was smaller). I couldn't wait to try it, and when I finally did, I got compliments about my skin. My cousin said my skin looked great, and she didn't notice that I had foundation on. And then when I was in the mall with my husband, he told me my skin really cleared up. I told him it was the brush that he gave me, not really my skin. He said, oh, I guess MAC is the Mercedes Benz of brushes. LOL. Definitely must have for stippling foundation. You will not regret it. By the way, I only stipple, I don't swirl.
I got this as a Christmas gift and I sooo love it! It's really great for my medium tan skin (NC40 to 42). It's like a coral-brown color. But more coral on me. Really beautiful. Try it!
Eye Shadow -Bobbi Brown - pastel eyeshadow palette
kpborra 10/30/2010 7:54:00 AM
I got this as a gift. I really wanted to like this, especially since it's Bobbi Brown, but the shimmery colors all look the same and have no lasting power. Only the mahogany, baby pink and ivory eyeshadow are pigmented. The metallic eyeshadows like champagne quartz, platinum, iced blue and rockstar all look the same in my lids. The metallic eyeshadows, aside from not being pigmented, have no lasting power, even with primer. Would definitely not buy again. Wet and wild has better eyeshadows than this.
Edit: I know it's difficult to use angel because of the frost, but with a brick-colored lipliner, angel's frost has become mattified and I've actually gotten tons of compliments on my lipstick. I've already actually purchased a back up, the only lipstick I have a back up on. Love. / I'm NC40 - 42, and alone, this lipstick doesn't do much for me, especially with the frost. However, I've been meaning to buy this after I read Kim K's tutorial. I make this work with a brown red lipliner, Angel lipstick and NARS Turkish Delight lipgloss. I will try with other lipglosses to see if it will look good. Alone, the staying power of this lipstick is poor, but combined with the lipgloss, it becomes ok. Still not long lasting. I would not repurchase.
I love this product. It's so cheap, but it's long lasting, especially when paired with E.L.F.'s eye primer and sealer. The colors are vibrant and pigmented, I was so surprised. It's actually even better than my bobbi brown eyeshadows, which don't show any pigment, they all look the same, and don't even have any lasting power. For the price, this is definitely a steal!
I can't believe I haven't reviewed this yet. This is the first powder foundation I ever purchased, since it was used to me by a make up artist for TV and she said this is the foundation to use. I've since moved on and tried so many other foundations (make up forever, chanel, laura mercier, shu uemura) but i looked at the other pictures i had when i was young and the coverage was so beautiful in pictures. i wasn't sure if it was because i had better, younger skin (it was about 5 years ago) or the foundation was nice (mac studio fix). i've since purchased it again and i still love it. i use it as setting powder for my liquid foundation, and sometimes i use it alone. in fact, when i just used it alone, i got compliments on how great my skin looks, they thought i had no make up. great color match too. seems like HG status. would definitely repurchase.
Eyeliner -Stila - Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner
kpborra 8/20/2010 7:25:00 PM
I love this eyeliner. It's very smooth, doesn't dry. I've been using it for months now. It's also cheap here in the Philippines, about $15, for the quality. It doesn't stay that long on me, however, until the end of the day. I still find that it fades off a little after i curl my lashes, and at the end of the day. Still love it, though. I use MAC fluidline on my lower lashline and waterline though.
Edit: I've found my HG way of covering undereye circles. Finally, I learned how to use the corrector. I put on my Laura Mercier Silk Creme foundation first. After, I put Bobbi Brown corrector under my eyes. It's a little bit creamy, so I put Make Up Forever Full Cover Concealer on top of the corrector. MUFE Full Cover is dry so it keeps the creamy corrector from oiling up my undereyes and making my eyeliner smudge. With this method, my undereye circles are covered for the whole day. Beautiful. I will definitely repurchase when I use it up. For sure. Love. - It's an ok concealer. I have it in peach and I'm NC 42 in MAC. I used it, and for a while it was nice, because I didn't have much to compare it with. It's very creamy and covered dark circles perfectly, except that it would be gone by noon. I've since moved to Make Up Forever Full Cover concealer, and I like it better because it's more hygienic in a tube. Likewise, I put the corrector on my dark circles, and after a few minutes, my hubby told me there was something wrong with my eye make up. I realized that my pencil eyeliner smudged all over with this concealer. I would do the same eye make up with MUFE Full Cover and my eyeliner never smudged. I realized it's because it's too creamy and oily, that's why it smudges my eyeliner all over under my eyes. And I set this with powder. I guess no more use for this corrector, unless I want to correct the color of my eyelids and use it as a base for my eyeshadow. Wouldn't repurchase, as I've found my HG concealer in MUFE Full Cover.
I have the kitten eyeshadow, and I really love it. I've been using it on my tear ducts (inner corners of my eyes) but it doesn't last long, maybe around 2 hours. With this smudge pot, I put it on the inner corners of my eyes, and it lasts around 5 to 7 hours. I re-apply at the end of the day when I'm going out at night. Love stila products.
This is a beautiful coppery orange brown tone. I'm NC42 for reference, and this is a beautiful lid color. I put a brown color on the crease and kitten eyeshadow on the browbone and it's a wonderful natural eye makeup style for me. Like all stila shadows, jezebel is pigmented, beautifully blends and lasts all day. Love.
