Gels/Soaps -Dove - Sensitive Skin Unscented Beauty Bar

I don't know if it's luck or success, but I tried this out after using Purpose for years. I had horrible acne skin and used to use abrasive, medical soaps. When I switched to Purpose I noticed reduced inflammation, but never perfect skin. Since using this bar soap, my skin has calmed down even more. As a plus, no more flaky dryness that I got with Purpose (and I used moisturizer, too!). I look less "ruddy" and I have seen breakouts go away and I swear my pores look smaller. Maybe the other soaps were too abrasive. I was nervous to try after years of severe breakouts, but after reading some people's success with Dove, I'm glad I tried.
Gels/Soaps -Dove - Dove Nourishing Care Shea Butter Beauty Bar

After years of using gels/cream body washes, I decided to return to bar soap as loofahs were getting pricey to replace each month and generally kind of gross to me. I am so glad I decided to go back to bar soap like I used as a kid! This shea version of Dove leaves my skin feeling smooth and clean. Now I am considering replacing my face wash with bar soap as well.
Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Rejuvenating Lip Balm with Acai Berry

Bought this on a whim at Walgreens during a 2 for 1 deal and was pleasantly surprised at how much I like the product! I was never gun-hoe on the original BB lip balm, so I wasn't expecting much. It seems to moisturize well. the smell is very strong but fruity and will keep wafting under your nose, so be warned if you hate the smell of berries.
Treatments -Garnier - Sleek and Shine Moroccan Sleek Oil Treatment

Originally a fan of the Garnier Sleek and Shine serum with argan oil, I saw this while shopping at Walgreens and was intrigued to try it. I would say it works better than the other serum - which I love! It really smooths out frizziness before i iron-straight my hair and its not overly greasy like other oils i've tried.
Treatments -L'Oreal - EverStrong Deep Replenishing Masque

I wanted to like this but it was just "meh" for me. My hair feels kind of dry after rinsing and it doesnt really do what I feel a deep conditioner should. I;ve used half the tub, which I hate for product distribution, and I'm going to call it a loss and chuck. I bought based on good reviews from others but it just doesn't do anything for my hair (thin, bleached).
Conditioner -Suave - Keratin Infusion Color Care Conditioner

I was pleasantly surprised by this Suave product - usually I can't stand them! It makes my hair soft, manageable and smooth! Works better than the John Frieda conditioner I was using and it smells so good. Definitely impressed and intrigued to try the rest of the line.
Saw a B1G1 free deal so I decide to try it. Works better than biosilk serum! makes my crappy ends look silky and smooth without being greasy or clumpy/stringy. i am not sold on the scent but its not terrible unlike chisilk serum. i have thin shoulder length hair and only need a dots worth of product to have an effect.
Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Complex 15 Therapeutic Face Cream

Tried this after seeing some positive recommendations. Love it! Very light and I seem to be less greasy at days end than with other moisturizers. Hard to find in stores which is a bit disappointing but I just stock up at the ones that do sell it for now.
Gels/Soaps -Dove - Go Fresh Nutrium Moisture Plum & Sakura Blossom
kookiekrumb 8/15/2011 11:52:00 AM
I usually like Dove products but I wasn't overly excited by this one. I got it on sale at Target for dirt cheap and decided to try it out but it makes my skin itchy. The smells ok but I tend to like mine a bit more aromatic. For under $2 I guess i can't complain too much but will not rebuy.
Treatments -Alpha Hydrox - AHA Souffle 12 percent Glycolic AHA

at first i liked the product but it built up on my skin and caused mega clogged pores. i like Alpha Hydrox products but this one won't be staying in my routine.
Gels/Soaps -St. Ives - Triple butters Vanilla Crème

the smell is mild once it's in a loofa and doesn't leave a lingering scent after a shower. it reminded of a cake smell which is why i bought it but i was disappointed it wasn't as strong once out of bottle. its consistency is great and otherwise is a fine product.
i'm very picky about what i try on my skin because it will breakout if you blink at it wrong. i've found a routine that keeps me mostly clear but i tried adding this to my routine and it's here to stay. once a week i use this as an all-over face application and it shrinks my pores like NO OTHER PRODUCT. my skin feels smooth and i instantly notice "cleaner" looking skin. its a bit messy but totally worth it.
i bought this to try and diminish some fresh scars on my stomach from picking my skin and after a week or so of using daily i had a horrible (allergic possible) reaction to it. i got tiny red bumps and discontinued use. for the price, i was very disappointed.
I got a free sample of this and was instantly impressed. not goopy and feels great. nice light mint smell and love it more the Burts Bees, Carmex, Chapstick or pretty much any other brand I've tried. Softlips comes close but it tends not to stay on as long as Neutrogenas does.
