i love love love this palette. great colors both shimmery and matte, great color payoff, and blends beautifully. in my opinion colors stay true when applied to lids. also next to no fallout which is awesome because i always apply my foundation first. i wear neutrals and browns with everything under the sun so this palette works perfectly for me. another thing i like is the color range, theres light pretty colors that are very natural looking for work, and dark bold browns for a more intense look when going out. its my go to palette and whenever im going out of town this is always the one i throw in my bag.
Foundations -Cover Girl - Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation

yep i love it. im kind of a foundation snob, all my makeup can be drugstore except my foundations (i would just rather put something more expensive/high end thats going directly on my skin, it makes me feel better haha). i switched to this after going through 3 bottles of kat von ds lock it foundation because it just wasnt working the same for me anymore, and i saw lots of reviews on this on youtube. this is (in my opinion) a full coverage foundation that conceales imperfections verrrrry well any problem areas that may shine through i just dab a little extra product on and they are concealed. applies matte and dries very fast which is nice because kat von d's took forever to set. it honestly could be a little more of a dewy finish for my taste but i dont mind it. it lasts seriously ALL FREAKIN DAY (630am to 10pm is how long i wear it) without getting shiny. yay! another plus is that the color is probably as close to perfect as i could have hoped for (i grabbed buff beige and was so impressed), once again a way better match than the kat von d's which is straight up orange in comparison. this is definitely my new favorite foundation and i will continue to buy until my skin gets used to it and it stops working as well for me. hopefully that wont happen but it probably will at some point lol.
i had always meant to write a review on this since ive gone thru 3 bottles of the stuff but this is the first time i am getting around to it....anyways. i have a love hate relationship with this foundation. also, it doesnt seem to work for me as well as it did when i first got it so im guessing my skin just got used to it already. what i love: very thick full coverage, doesnt cause breakouts, somewhat of a dewy finish on me (which i personally love, very matte finishes are fake looking to me), comes in a pump, primer is not necessary, photographs beautifully with no white cast, blends well. what i dont love: NO CAP (gets everywhere if you try to take it with you), never feels like it fully dries on your skin all day, somewhat of a strange color range (either too pink or too yellow, i decided to go with the yellower shade which never really matched me that great but i wore it anyways lol). also, towards the end of my using this foundation (i recently switched to covergirl stay fabulous 3 in 1 which i HIGHLY recommend) i also noticed that i would be a greaseball at the end of the day, which is why im thinking my skin got too used to it because this was not happening in the beginning. it used to control oil very well. i basically would recommend this to girls who need a full coverage foundation for problematic skin especially since it wont break you out. i still have a little less than half a bottle which i will keep around for nights when im going out and will be taking lots of flash pictures since it does photograph really well.
Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm Sphere - Summer Fruit

I remember I bought this when they first hit the shelves like what 2 years ago?? For whatever reason I didn't like it back then and threw it in my "makeup junk drawer" thing that I have. Just recently I noticed it in there and tried it again and fell in LOVE. I don't know what I didn't see before. It moisturizes my lips so incredibly well and I love the scent/flavor. I use it every day several times a day. I bought another one in the pomegranate flavor to have one in my purse...my favorite chapstick like lip product for sure.
Well I definitely seem to be in the minority here but I hate these. They make my lips look HELLLUHHHHH dry (coming from someone who gravitates towards matte lip products) and accentuates any little flake you have on your lips. Doesn't seem to moisturize at all, just kind of sits there. This product was such a disappointment for me because I love tinted balm type lip products.
I am highlyyyyy impressed with this makeup. I recently switched from bare minerals which I had been using for a couple years, because my skin is looking worse than it has in a long time and bare minerals just wasn't giving me the coverage I needed anymore. Ive been using this for about a week now and I couldn't be happier. The coverage is amazing and stays all day, and does an excellent job of taming my oily skin. No oxidization (unlike bare minerals) and blends beautifully. I don't know if it necessarily stops you from breaking out but definitely doesn't irritate pre existing pimples (even freshly popped ones lol). The only thing I noticed is that the colors are a little on the darker side, cuz I wear the lightest shade and I don't consider myself to be that pale...but the shade down from mine was waaaayy too dark. So maybe not the best for very fair girls. But all in all an amazing foundation, my new hg :)
I have several china glaze nail polishes, mostly because they have a lot of cute colors and I keep hoping its gonna turn into the polish I want it to be. Lol. And I seriously doubt it's going to happen. The few constants about this brand of nail polish include: too thin, applying too many coats to get desired finish, chips fast, overly priced crappy nail polish. Cute colors though, I will give them that. But it's basically expensive nail polish that holds up as good as something you would get from the dollar tree
Conditioner -Palmers - Coconut Oil Deep Conditioning Protein Pack

Saw that it was cheap and was in an obsessive mood to try something coconut oil-related on my hair so I bought this and tried it. Good thing it's so damn cheap because it did nothing. I usually use really good expensive products on my hair so idk. Just not for me. My hair felt no extra softness or silkiness. Also the packaging SUCKS, and I am typically not one to bitch about packaging.
Lip Treatments -Smith's Rosebud Salve - Smith's Rosebud Salve

I alwaysssssss have a tin of this stuff in my purse. Works good as a lip balm since its so hydrating but I use it mostly for random little dry areas on my skin. Works great on elbows and my dry hands (I'll put it on in between my fingers and on my knuckles) and it just works so good. So so so hydrating. works better than any lotion for chronic dry areas. Cheap and lasts me a very long time.
Finalllllllly, my HG leave in product!!! I've used A LOT of different leave ins and nothing compares to this. It literally does everything it says on the bottle. What I love is its also a heat protectant (among 9 other things) so I don't have to use a separate product if I'm going to use heat on my hair. This stuff will save your hair. LOVEEEEE
Toners -Unlisted Brand - Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar

I read about drinking ACV online for acne control. I don't have horrible acne....but it's been a roller coaster for me since high school, going between great looking clear skin and skin so broken out I don't let anyone see me without makeup covering it up. Anyways I truly believe this is the ONE factor in my skin care regiment that keeps me clear. What I do is take a small shot (a little over half of a normal sized shot glass) daily. And I NEED a chaser because the stuff really tastes awful. A lot of people suggest diluting it in a cup of water or juice. I don't do this because if the ACV touches your teeth every day it can erode enamel...its very acidic and I'm super anal about my teeth. So I just slam a shot of the stuff so it goes straight down without chillin in my mouth and effing with my teeth. Anyways, I notice if I skip more than a day of my daily shots, my skin breaks out like a mother, every time. Which is how I know this is the stuff that's keeping me clear. Pros: KEEPS MY SKIN CLEAR a big ass jug of the stuff is pretty cheap...I think it was like 12 bucks? And it lasts FOREVER. I get it from vitamin shoppe CONS: horrible taste You're probably gonna have to stick with the daily shots for a while before you start noticing a difference in your skin (at least that's how I was) Oh and also I use this as a toner for any breakouts which are usually a result of skipping my daily shots...Helps dry up pimples quickly and heals sores left over from popping (I'm addicted to popping, bad I know)
I just bought this in pomegranate mostly because I saw it was pomegranate flavored and I love ANYTHING pomegranate. I fell in love instantly with this lip butter and won't use anything else. Very hydrating and leave a cute pinkish tint :) smells amazing. This so far is my only product from the yes to carrots brand but I am so impressed I think I will try more of their products :)
Foundations -Bare Escentuals - bareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation
klgbeatnik 11/25/2011 7:23:00 PM
I first tried bare minerals foundation a little over a year ago when my esthetician teacher (I was attending beauty school at the time) recommended it. I LOVE THIS MAKEUP. i use the foundation, yellow under eye concealer, bronzer in the summer and blush in the winter. I will never use anything else on my face. The coverage is great, lasts all day, and is really really good for your skin. I have a tendency to break out and this makeup covers the blemishes well and doesnt irritate them and make them worse. I use the original formula and my skin is naturally oily but not extremely oily and it works just fine for me; it controls the oil well. My skin is a little "dewy" by the end of the day but i like that look so i stick to the original formula. I have a friend with really oily skin and she uses the matte formula and loves it. Highly recommended especially if you break out occasionally (or have acne) or have sensitive, combination, or oily skin.
I was so excited to finally try this product..my nails are ALWAYS painted but chip really easily (oily nail beds maybe?) so I was curious to see how these nail polish stickers would hold up. They claim something insane like 10-14 days. Well i put them on last night, not too hard they stuck right on no peeling or coming off, only took me about 30 mins and looked great. (I got the black/cream lace design) They were already chipping by this morning and were horribly chipping by noon. I didnt even do anything out of the norm i just went shopping with my mom. Regular nail polish would have held up way better. I was disgusted so i just picked the rest off while i was out. I will never be buying these again especially for that price. Chips WAY TOO FAST.
