i haven't been using this long, but i like it so far! i use a cleansing oil first, then this....and the results have been great. my skin is softer than when i just used the oil cleanser. i do use this in the a.m also....my skin seems less oily in the daytime. i also use korres thyme honey cream and love it as well!

Lotions/ Creams -L'Occitane - Shea Butter Foot Cream
rated 3 of 5

well i liked this relaxing, lavender scented foot cream for a couple days.....then the rash/irritation started. that is very odd for me to have a reaction like that. it is still itchy. i'm pretty sure it's this cream b/c for a couple days or so i stopped using it, and the itchiness and redness reduced. then i used it again, same thing, itchy rash! i am bummed. i really don't like minty stuff in my foot cream, so this was great. but not the rash part. plus i'm not sure it was *that* moisturizing. for $26 i need something that's almost perfect. i'm taking it back.

Lip Treatments -Chapstick - Fresh Effects Invigorating Green Tea Mint
rated 5 of 5
kkt1210 12/18/2009 11:29:00 AM

love! i really enjoy using this. very refreshing and moisturizing. i can feel a tingle, but it's not harsh. i'd say it is similar to the natural lip butter (purple) in texture. i also love that one. this is good if i need some mint in my day. haha. . it goes on very smooth and leaves my lips moist, comfortable and fresh! i think the name fresh effects is quite fitting. i always have this, or the lip butter in my bag....and if i forget to take it with me, i get very mad!. thanks chapstick for finally making a couple of great products i love! Cleansers -Clinique - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

i know that petroleum and its cousin mineral oil aren't really well liked by a lot of people, but in this case it seems to work. yes it's thick and it's greasy and heavy when applying. but after working it in, add some water to your hands and rub the oil and water...making it milky. then rinse well. there shouldn't be a coated, heavy feeling still. i do follow with a cleanser, as i think this may be just a makeup remover. i'm not sure if you're supposed to or not, but i do.

Fragrances -Bulgari - OMNIA Crystalline edt
rated 4 of 5
kkt1210 12/15/2009 8:56:00 PM

*EDIT* oh, i know! as i was getting ready, and watching some snowflakes fly around my backyard.....i realized as i was spraying this, that it reminds me of snow! and ice. it actually smells kind of "cold". like walking down a dark street, under a stary sky, while millions of snowflakes are touching your fingertips and eyelashes....and kissing your lips. there is an icy cold smell to this. of course that's just my opinion :) maybe that's why they call it "crystalline"? agree, there is something odd in the top-middle of this. but what. i can't put my finger on it....nor can i on any of the notes. i think sephora has this under the "soft floral" category...which is sort of confusing since i don't get much floral out of it. i'd put it in the fresh category i think. but it's weird why i've had this for more than 6 months and just now have begun to really give it a fair shot. at first i was like, ohhh no way, this is harsh. well it is when compared to the 400 different vanillas i have. haha. so then i began to take it for what it is...Bamboo, Nashi, Lotus Flower, Balsa Wood. hmm, no vanilla. so don't expect it to smell as rounded as one. this is a light, airy scent, which is a bit enigmatic at times. the dry down is addictive. i find myself wanting to endure the first more "sharp" hour, just to get that dry down. something soothing is buried at the bottom. i know this probably wouldn't offend many people as it is light.....but do not think that because it is, it has no staying power....it does. it outlasts many EDP i have known. it obviously softens over the hours...but a good 8 hours later, i can still smell it on my skin. by then it's more of a close-to-the-skin scent, but i can smell it. and on my clothes. in fact, this is pretty much the only one i've been able to spray on (a tiny bit) at night before bed since it is so light. crazy. well, it's not for everyone, but if you're interested in an airy, mysterious and clean scent, go sample it!

Shampoo -Ouidad - Clear and Gentle Shampoo
rated 2 of 5
kkt1210 7/28/2009 11:54:00 AM

i got a sample kit of the botanical boost, balancing rinse, clear n gentle 'poo, climate gel and deep treatment. i've used the climate gel for a long time, so i know that's not the reason my hair is rebelling and looking like a puffy piece of crap. so it's either the b. boost, balancing rinse or the "gentle" shampoo. (i've not used the deep treatment). and since a lot of people on here are saying this shampoo is drying, i think this might be the reason my hair has looked more "straw-like" in the past few weeks. so i'll cut it out and see what happens. for now this goes in my product graveyard.

Bergamot, Frangipani, Lotus Blossom, Rose Oil, Violet, Musk. the notes sound good....but it's an odd smell when blended together i think. not exactly what i expected. but it does grow on you a little. i got a sample. paying $69 for 2 oz seems really absurd.

Fragrances -Ralph Lauren - Notorious
rated 4 of 5
kkt1210 4/28/2009 3:39:00 PM

yeah i'm pretty surprised that the ratings are this low. i bought something at sephora online and had the option of choosing several samples with my purchase, so this was one of them. i had been doing a lot of the floral/fresh fragrances recently, so i wasn't sure if i'd be into a woody oriental so much. buuuut i really like this! to me there is a hint of sweetness somewhere in the middle. i actually don't like a lot of RL frags, Romance made me sneeze and gag, and those other ones in those short colored bottles smell like tropical prostitutes. once upon a time i really was into Blue, which is harder to find now, but Notorious is not overly strong, imo. staying power is nice, fades well and somehow works with my chemistry. it seems each spring my nose becomes alive again and i fall in love with one perfume for almost the whole summer. last year it was armani code. i know Notorious isn't a typical "summer" fragrance, since it's a woody....but i don't care! there are no rules as far as i'm concerned. wear what inspires you. i almost can see myself getting a full bottle of this and not just mooching samples from sephora. we'll see.....but at this rate my little sample won't last long. NOTES: Deep black currant, spiced bouquet, decadent chocolate cosmos, sensual patchouli musk

Lip Treatments -Chapstick - 100% Naturals - Lip Butter
rated 5 of 5
kkt1210 4/9/2009 8:18:00 PM

i am so addicted to this that if i leave it at home or something, i get very annoyed. you might say, whaaaat, this girl must have some minor issues. no. everyone knows how annoying it is to have dry lips.....dry lips just cos they're dry, dry after eating, dry from lipstick....whatever the reason most of us NEED some kind of lipbalm product. my lips are of the dry cos they are 'always dry' category. i had used burts bees, some stuff in a pot from the body shop, that soft lips stuff and many others, without being thrilled. the last lipbalm that rocked my world was in the mid 90's (long time huh) and that was the honey stick from the body shop. they dumped that product long ago and pretty much i've been searching ever since. here it is! not waxy, not smelly, good lasting power AND good ingredients....i think it has five different butters in it. leaves your lips moisterized and a bit shiny. i really need to get a second tube so i can have one at home and one in my bag. if i don't see that little purple/lavender tube in my bag i get in a bad mood cos i know i won't be satisfied til i can get some on my lips.

Toners -Skyn Iceland - Arctic Face Mist
rated 4 of 5
kkt1210 3/22/2009 5:18:00 PM

i have had a good experience with this product....as well as the others. (i got the detox kit, but am reviewing them seperately). the mist is very cooling and soothing and smells relaxing....sort of like a "spa" product. i usually spitz a cotton ball with the mist then wipe across my face like you would with a toner....i dunno why i do it this way, i just like to! but i also do use it at times in the afternoon as a mist, for a little pick me up. i do think at the very beginning i felt a little tiny tingling/hotness on my face, but my skin got used to it. my skin never became very red from it, so i gave it a chance....now i'm not bothered by any odd feelings and look forward to the "coolness" it provides. i have dry/normal skin that's prone to hormonal breakouts and this feels calming on upset skin. this i'd buy a full size of for sure!

Lipstick -Estee Lauder - Signatur Lipstick In 51 Chelsea Rose
rated 3 of 5
kkt1210 2/23/2009 11:36:00 AM

*EDIT wellllll too bad the lasting power of this has proved to be very disappointing for a deptartment store lippie.....i mean for ANY lipstick really..... c'mon, within, i swear an hour, it was gone. and it was kind of drying also. still the color is very pretty, but it just doesn't last. and i'm not keeping any makeup that isn't up to my standards. not for $20. tooooo bad. * in the estee lauder signatur collection, most of the colors were pretty, but not what i was wanting. then i discovered chelsea. ohhh it was an instant friendship! the formula is lush, but not "sheer" with moderate to full color payoff depending on which color you choose. i am usually a fan of semi-matte formulas (nars has a fab one called catfight)....and while chelsea isn't matte at all....it's not whimpy either. it has a slight flavor to it, but not too gross. (l'oreal has horrid flavored l/s). the color: cool, pretty, moist pinky rose. i'm fair with warm tones, but cools look good on me for some reason. this is no exception! i would think this could also work for somewhat cool people....you just have to try it. oh and it makes my lips look ever fuller! price about 20

Lipstick -NARS - Catfight
rated 5 of 5
kkt1210 11/7/2008 10:13:00 AM

i decided to stop at the nars display at sephora and look at the lipsticks. i picked up dolce vita, since i've heard it's very popular....but i felt as if it may go orange on me, for some reason my lips make some colors appear orange. weird. and then i saw catfight. it looked very pretty, but when i saw it was a semi matte i wasn't sure. i def have *never* been a gloss only girl and a little weight in a lippie does not scare me....but i can't wear colors taht are too opaque or dark. i swipped this on my hand and, oh wow, it was great! so i took it. well it has a great texture....heavy enough, but not too much, and feels moist, but not glossy, and is NOT drying! my lips are dry too. u know what? clinique buttershines are MORE drying than this semi-matte l/s....and the BS did not even give much color payoff. nars is much better in quality. i'm very happy and would be willing to try another nars l/s in another color/formula. i remember in the early-mid 90's, when i was in high school, the matte look was very in. i loved the matte look, though the colors i wore were too dark! oh and catfight has a super tiny bit of shimmer....but it is very sublte and is very hard to tell it is there. but it gives the color a tad more depth and is less flat than a true matte. i'm fair, brwn hair/eyes and have slight yellow undertones....but for some reason i look really good in cool toned pink/mauve l/s. which this is. love it and have been wearing it non stop for weeks. very long lasting also. =]

Toners -Clinique - Mild Clarifying Lotion
rated 5 of 5
kkt1210 9/18/2008 8:23:00 AM

i have less than a 1/4 of my first bottle left, and i really can say this is a very nice, effective, NON drying toner! it looks a little thick in the bottle and you kind of turn it upside down to mix everything together...kind of cool. but what i really like is that it has a very small amount of BHA (salycilic acid) in it, which helps with exfoliation and breakouts. plus it gets off last traces of makeup or cleanser....without drying the crap out of your skin. once upon a time i tried the #2 toner.....holy cow, NOOOOOO. that was insanely drying. i'd be scared to even try #1. but this mild version is great. and i really think most skintypes could use it, not just the dry skins. it doesn't leave a weird residue or anything, just a fresh feeling. this formula comes only in one size and it was $11. which imo is very good. i'm going to repurchase, and soon!

Fragrances -Narciso Rodriguez - Narciso Rodriguez for her
rated 2 of 5
kkt1210 6/25/2008 11:52:00 AM

ohhhh how my dreams of loving this fragrance are shattered! on paper it sounds really delicious and sensual.....Honey Flower, Solar Musk, Orange Blossom, Osmanthus, Amberlyn, Vanilla, Tactile Musk, Tactile Woods, Vetiver......doesn't that sound yummy? but on my skin, an idential twin to SJP's Lovely. which is NOT lovely imo. i'm not really sure which note makes it so similar to SJP's, but something does. if i were a fan of Lovely, i'd be IN love with Narciso's.....since it is a bit more "refined" than Lovely. i wonder if the EDP would be less similar? guess i'll go to sephora and give it a spritz!

Fragrances -Coty - L by L.A.M.B--Gwen Stefani
rated 3 of 5
kkt1210 6/5/2008 2:16:00 PM

this is weird, but i've not seen really anyone mention this smells verrrry similar to benefit's 'maybe baby'. NOTES of Maybe Baby: Apricot, White Ginger, Fresh Water Blossoms, Himalayan Poppy, Warm Peach. NOTES of L L.A.M.B: Fresh Green Notes, Water Hyacinth, White Freesia, Fresh Pear, Violet Leaves, Jasmine Petals, Rose, Muget, Sweet Pea, Orange Blossom, Heliotrope Flower, Sensual Musk, Frangipani Blossom, Peach Skin. As you can see they do have similar notes, though lamb has more. well for some reason my skin picks up a lot of peach in both scents....which is soft and pretty, but just so so. it's just there. and on me it doesn't last very long. it's kind of like those clean "soap and water" scents. it does smell good.....people will probably think you smell nice while wearing it.....but just not too remarkable. to me anyway. i think i was more into "Maybe Baby" about five years ago....so because lamb reminds me of that, i'm just not overwhelmed. oh well. at least it doesn't stink as badly as sarah jessica parker's "lovely", which is NOT very lovely. imo. celeb frags are usually so so, or a huge miss.
