Lotions/ Creams -Pacifica - Indian Coconut Nectar Body Butter

I got this along with a shower gel and body spray as my beauty insider gift from Sephora. When smelling the product out of the bottles, I couldn't resist trading in my 500 hard-earned point for this little set. I couldn't wait to try it out! The shower gel smelled DELICIOUS! It made my bathroom smell like a tropical island. I promtly followed my island escape with the lotion and a few spritzes of the body spray. HUGE mistake! A couple of minutes after applying the lotion and body spray, I kept smelling what I can only describe as rancid coconut crayons. Yeah, smells about as good as it sounds. Thinking maybe it was all in my head, I brought the lotion with me to work and asked my male coworker to tell me what he thought of the smell. I have never seen someone make a face quite like his. Disgust and fear all rolled into one. I was VERY disappointed (but also glad I tested it out on him before I wore it around my boyfriend). On a happy note, I'm still using the shower gel as it smells great. I also found that the Hawaiian Ruby Guava and Tuscan Blood Orange lotions smell FAR better than the Indian Coconut Nectar.

Mascara -Chanel - Inimitable Intense Mascara

Oh, the woes of finding the perfect mascara! I have read review after review to try and find my new HG mascara (after my Lancome Hypnose Drama and YSL Effet Faux Cils failed me) and decided to try out Chanel Inimitable Intense mascara. So far, I am REALLY liking it! It offers great volume and length without clumping (Lancome...). No racoon eyes, no smudges or smears, no flaking. Yay! It IS the same price as the YSL (which is why I decided to find something new in the first place), but I am hoping that a tube will last longer than a month, which would make the price a little more palatable. I should mention that I like MAJOR lash drama. There's no such thing as too much volume and I want my lashes to look like falsies. Thus far, this mascara delivers. If this is what you want in a mascara, I would definitely recommend.

Mascara -Yves Saint Laurent - Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils

I love this mascara EXCEPT for the fact that it is so pricey. It wouldn't be so bad if the tube didn't dry up within a month of purchase. If you don't mind the expense, or if you just want to try it out, here's what I can tell you about it: -Awesome volume! I usually put four to five coats on each eye and my lashes look HUGE! -Great length. Seriously, it makes my lashes so long they touch my eyelids. Which would be great except I have oily lids so I was constantly having to monitor my lids to make sure I didn't have black smudges up there. -Meh curling power. Curl isn't a huge deal for me, though. -Minimal flaking and racoon eye (except for the upper lid problem listed above) -Very easy to remove. -A tube never lasted me more than a month; hence the issue I had spending $30 a month for mascara. -Has a very strong scent, which might be too much for someone with really sensitive eyes. I wish it wasn't so expensive, otherwise this would be my HG, for sure.

Mascara -Lancome - Hypnose Drama

When I first tried this mascara over a year ago, I fell in love! I needed something to replace my beloved Cargo Texas Lash - they changed the formula or something and it went from being everything I wanted in a mascara to a flakey mess. Alas, I digress. I'm very particular about my mascara - it has to lengthen, curl and give me major volume. I want to look like I have falsies on without the mascara flaking, smearing, giving me racoon eyes and be easy to remove. I also have sensitive eyes, so I have to worry about that, too. Anyway, this mascara did all of the above and more. It was definitely worth the price. After about eight months of religious use (this equated to six or seven tubes for me), I decided to try something new. Nothing that I tried quite did it for me like Lancome Hypnose Drama, though, so I decided to switch back last week. I have no idea what happened, but it is NOT good! My normally perfect mascara was impossible to put on (the formula was so wet, I ended up with more of it on my eyelids than my lashes) and CLUMPED to no end! No joke, I could literally count my clumped lashes - it looked like I had five eye lashes on each eye. Lancome...what happened?! I would not recommend this unless the formula miraculously returns to its original awesomeness. For now, I'm testing out Chanel Inimitable Intense in the never-ending search for my HG mascara.
