Styling Products -Garnier - Curl and Shine Leave-In Conditioning Cream

This conditioning creme controls frizz and defines my curls better than anything else that I've used so far. It's cheap and smells good. More expensive products like John Frieda's Frizz Ease anti-frizz serum and Biosilk Silk Therapy have not worked for me at all. I apply it right after I towel-dry my hair and leave it to air dry. Afterwards, my hair feels soft and looks shiny. On extremely frizzy hair days, I end up also using Aveda Brilliant Anti-Humectant Pomade which works wonders in controlling frizz.

Moisturizers -L'Oreal - Wrinkle De-crease
rated 2 of 5

I started using De-Crease based on the wonderful reviews that I read on this website. While using this product only at nights I started to feel my skin texture was getting really bad - my pore size increased and my skin was greasy all day long. It was as if the aging process kicked in all of a sudden, and my skin condition drastically declined. It was not until more than a month of using De-Crease that I started to suspect the cream of causing the increased pore size. 2 weeks after discontinuing use, my skin looks much more vibrant. I do not know if there is a relationship to my skin type, combination tending towards dry, but De-Crease made my skin worse. I'm just glad that the process was somewhat irreversible.

Toners -L'Oreal - Nutri-Pure Soothing Toner
rated 5 of 5

This toner is the best I've ever tried even compared to a higher end product like Lancome Clarifiance. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and dewy beyond imagination and it has a wonderful scent. I'm particularly impressed because it really does moisten my dry skin. The only down side is that it does not seem to remove as much dirt as other toners that I have used.

Cleansers -L'Oreal - Nutri-Pure Gentle Self-foaming Cleanser
rated 3 of 5

I had hoped that this cleanser would perform as promised - clean and minimize loss of moisture. I don't feel that it has done a good job of either. Considering that it is intended for dry skin, it still leaves my skin a bit tight. For a drugstore product, the quality of this cleanser does not justify the cost, especially since one container does not last very long.
