This is probably the worst lip product out there - I honestly do not understand the hype. The plumping effect which is the main selling point only lasts for a few minutes. The gloss itself does leave a nice shine and has a strong cinnamon scent. But, it does not have much staying power. You can expect dry lips in about an hour. You get a very small quantity of gloss - it is comparable to sample vials of perfume. Worst of all, the oily consistency of the gloss will often leak out of its tube. WARNING: Do NOT use this product if your lips are even a little chapped. It will burn horribly and look chunky!

Pros: Excellent coverage, almost opaque. Smooth consistency. Stays on throughout the day. Attractive, functional and secure packaging (includes mirror, brush and sponge pad) SPF 15 Cons: High price for small amount of product Somewhat "flat" effect because of how pigmented it is Limited range of shades Tips: Doesn't apply well with included brush - use sponge instead.

Polishes -OPI - Black Shatter

Just a few tips to get the best effect: 1. BUYER BEWARE! I noticed a lot of bad reviews are by people who dont like the dark colour and think it is too dramatic or "trendy." It is a dark effect polish, be sure you like that before you purchase it! 2. Roll it before using. If it seems too thick, go ahead and shake it. 3. You must have polish under it to work. Brighter, lighter colours contrast the black best. Use metallics for a striking look, matte neon colours look very bold. The colour must be completely dry before you apply the shatter, or it will come out gloopy. 4. It dries really fast so apply it in quick, even strokes. Thinner layers = many smaller, thinner cracks "leopard print -like" Thicker layers = fewer, larger cracks. "earthquake-like" 3. You must use a quality top coat! The matte finish is not meant to wear.

Fragrances -Nina Ricci - Nina (New)

I got this from my boyfriend a few Valentine's Days ago. I think it is a perfect gift for younger girls, the bottle/packaging is cute but elegant. I'm no scent expert but the fragrance is light and sweet; however, it does diffuse rather quickly. I'd describe it as fruity, candy, warm, summery. Again, very appropriate for young girls.

Lip Gloss -Nivea - Fruit & Shine

This is my absolute favorite lip balm ever. Nivea's lip balms are never sticky and last a long time... and this one leaves a nice tint on my lips. Cherry is red and Strawberry is more peachy. I have a medium skin tone though... Pros: +Very reasonably priced + nice texture, long lasting + subtle colour (not the same result as lipstick) + DAZZLING shine Cons: - Colour may be too much for light skin tones - May need to use lipliner to keep colour defined on the lips - It IS scented, which might not be your cup of tea. Bottom line: For like $3 I highly recommend trying it. If it doesnt work out give it to a younger sister or something!

Lip Treatments -Nivea - Light Kiss

It looks like a lot of people don't like this product, but I use it as a "primer." Now, there's a lot of water in this so it melts right into your lips when you put it on. I put another layer on and let it dry off a bit (10 minutes? Do your hair or something in the meantime), then apply gloss or lipstick. You'll notice a difference. It even helps plump up your lips a bit cause of all the extra moisture! I originally bought this as a colour/scent free lip balm to use at night, I think Nivea's hydo care might be better for that though - it's longer lasting. Lastly, I have heard other people had trouble with the pot it comes in... since it's not air-proof the product goes dry if you dont use it for a while. I haven't had this problem personally but I dont think it would be an issue if you actually use it.
