Beautiful....just beautiful!! Even the matte shadows have a silky texture. I just love it. If I there was a law banning all eyeshadow brands but 3, i would vote to keep shu uemura, MAC and STILA!!!! Lovely, lovely, lovely....im so in love with it. Too bad its still not available in Manila, Philippines. Alot of people are clamouring for it. Calling Estee Lauder Co.

Eyeliner -Estee Lauder - Liquid Eyeliner

The great thing about this eyeliner is the brush. It has the right amount of stiffness to create the perfect line. Retro eyeline is my waterloo, but this brush makes it a piece of cake. Great staying power. You can even smudge it for great smokey-eye looks.

Blush -NARS - Nico
kikay_2000 6/27/2006 5:21:00 PM
This is not a blush at all. The texture even suggests its a pressed powder. Nico is more like a finishing powder. It offers warm glow to your skin as it has very tiny gold flecks. I love to use this on the shoulders, neck and decolletage. I agree with the comment below that Nars should repackage this to do it justice.

Eye Shadow -Shiseido - Silky Eye Shadow Quad - Earth and Sky
kikay_2000 6/27/2006 5:09:00 PM
Shisheido e/s have a beautiful, rich texture. The texture of these shadows are noteworthy. When your brush leaves a dent on the surface, it looks like a cream shadow. The colors are not so intense, but buildable. Works best if you use your finger or the sponge-tipped applicator, although difficult. I've found that the color doesn't show up on your eyelids if you use a regular brush. Otherwise, tap the color instead of sweeping them on. It also has very fine glitter , not shimmer (similar to shu uemura's pearl finish) something that I've never really liked but in this case, looks absolutely lovely. Alas, the fine glitter irritates my eyes easily to I don't think I will repurchase nor use this quad again. So sad. But I may try their matte formulation as I really love the texture.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint - All
kikay_2000 6/27/2006 4:57:00 PM
MAC paints are the best as they are multipurpose products. Good as eyeshadow primers and eyeshadows alone. Some variants even have a transformative quality that you can use to layer under powder shadows for more color intensity or create new shades altogether. You also use them as blush (with moisturizer) or highlighter. Over-all worth the money. One peeve though, is the tendency for the tube to ooze more product than needed. In fact, once you unscrew the cap, the stuff just oozes out of control so you end up with alot of waste. Tsk,tsk... MAC should do something about this.

Blush -NARS - The Multiple in Portofino
kikay_2000 6/27/2006 4:49:00 PM
HG of cream blushes!! Beautiful shimmer and a great peachy coral shade. Nars multiples are so easy to blend (even over powder foundation). The quality is exceptional. With this blush I dont need more make-up as I look polished already. A definte must in your make-up bag.

Blush -DuWop - Blush Therapy
kikay_2000 6/27/2006 4:44:00 PM
This cream blush has a good range of wearable shades. I personally have Hug Me. Creamy, shimmer- free so it achieves a fresh, almost dewy finish. Doesn't blend easily over foundation, so pat on your cheeks, don't smear. Works if you apply on well-moisturized skin, then apply foundation.

Deodorants -Kiehls - Superbly Efficient Anti-Perspirant and Deodorant Cream
kikay_2000 6/27/2006 3:02:00 PM
I keep a lot of this in stock as Kiehls is not available in the Philippines. This product is so aptly named. It is very effective and gentle on the skin. I have suffered from excessive underarm wetness that I have felt hopeless in finding a commercial product that would work. I was almost ready to consider seeking medical advice for this. But lo and behold, upon my cousin's suggestion I picked it up and have been loving it since. I will never go without this. Stains dark clothes somewhat but not as bad as other deodorant sticks I've tried.

Lip Gloss -NARS - Talitha
kikay_2000 6/27/2006 2:34:00 PM
Despite Nars glosses having almost zero staying power, this gloss's color supercedes this con. Looks dark in the tube but turns out to be an absolutely beautiful deep rosy, mauve shade. If you apply it full on, it makes a great wearable red lip. You can dab it on with your fingers to make a pretty lip stain. The color also complements most skin tones. I love to use it for wedding looks. Very pretty. The texture is also tackier than most Nars glosses so thats an additional lippie right there. The wand though, deposits to much color that I end up taking most of it off with tissue.

Lip Gloss -NARS - Giza
kikay_2000 6/27/2006 2:28:00 PM
The color is a lovely peach shade, very natural on my NW20 skin and not too glossy like Juicy Tubes. Blends well with Shisheido lipstick in Praline or any neutral beige lipstick. I do this so I don't end up looking like a corpse. But like all Nars glosses, it smells funky and absolutely has no staying power. This is most the disappointing aspect of Nars glosses.

Blush -NARS - Zen
kikay_2000 6/27/2006 2:20:00 PM
Girls with NW20 skin and ligher know that we have to be careful with bronzers. It if not the right shade you'll end up with an orange face. The smooth, matte texture allows for versatility when layering colors. Apply like a bronzer and use Orgasm on apple of cheeks for a 2 dimensional look. Can also be used for subtle contouring. Also a great neutral blush for smokey/dramatic eyes. Great with Laura Mercier Pressed Bronzer in Shimmer because it sets off the shimmer in the powder quite well.

Concealers -Sue Devitt - Bermuda Triangle
kikay_2000 6/27/2006 1:57:00 PM
Im an NW20/LM Porcelain so this looks quite dark on my hand but if applied strategically on bluish parts of the undereye, it really does a good job. I prefer to use my finger for blending as the product is quite dry. The finish is very natural and doesnt settle into fine lines. Packaging is so handy and portable I can take it with me for touch ups. Great product!

Loose Powders -Shu Uemura - Face Powder Sheer
kikay_2000 6/27/2006 1:36:00 PM
I decided to try this out as I have been a fan of Skin(Alison Raphael) transparent loose powder. Got this in colorless. This powder is luxuriously fine, almost velvety in texture, even the puff works very well. The color, which is a fine white, diappears on your skin (regardless of skintone) so its quite versatile as well as leaves a very fine twinkling of glitter not shimmer, which is very pretty. Works especially well in setting Sue Devitt's Bermuda Triangle concealer! I don't know why. It doesn't seem to set Laura Mercier secret concealer nor MAC studio finish concealer. Some shu products only work with other shu products...go figure. I notice how this powder exaggerates the crepey, dry lines under my eyes as it settles into the fine lines whenever i use the 2 previously mentioned products. Maybe because they are more emolient than Sue Devitt's concealer. Also leaves a dry powdery finish in the undereye area. I prefer it on my face instead of the undereye. I think I'll go back to Skin's loose powder.

Concealers -Laura Mercier - Undercover
kikay_2000 1/27/2006 11:55:00 AM
I am an NW20 and I used to use MAC Select Cover Up in NW15 for dark bluish shadows in my undereye area. This product does not work for the darkness and the texture tends to get dry and flaky at day's end. I find it works better for the face. I tried LM Undercover in #2 and the concealer side worked really well for my undereye. It matched my skin perfectly and covered the dark areas evenly. There was some caking, so I brushed loose powder from the outercorner going into the innercorner (as if going against the lines). This way, creasing is minimized. Works really well! However, the secret camouflage did not match the rest of my face and tends to get blotchy. And it doesn't really conceal as much. I wouldn't buy this product, but I would definitely get the SECRET CONCEALER.
