Cleansers -Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser
rated 4 of 5

First cleanser my mom introduced me to as a kid, still use it to this day. Gentle, effective, non-irritating. Also, this is the ONLY thing I will use to remove my eye makeup. Girls, if you have acne, stop irritating your skin with bright coloured "acne cleansers" and such. I've tried countless products (Clinique, Clean & Clear, Clearasil, Neutrogena, Alba, Body Shop). Use regular old Cetaphil (not the oily skin formula) and treat your skin well ! It will treat you well back. * must massage into relatively dry skin (eg. not in the shower) and wipe away with a warm washcloth for best results.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Dream Mousse Shadow - Ivory Illusion
rated 4 of 5

I LOVE THIS. Normally I wear my Bare Study Paintpot from MAC, and then put a few natural shadows overtop (so that it doesn't crease, and that I don't just have shimmer up to my browbone). WELL, let me tell you, this mousse shadow saves me so much time in the morning ! I just put some on my lid, and use a matte cream-coloured shadow on my browbone (two products!) and I'm done. Except of course, mascara. I haven't touched my Paintpot in weeks, whereas before I got this mousse eyeshadow, I hadn't gone a day without it. This doesn't crease, and stays all day on it's own. It looks like Bare Study, but it doesn't crease. The only thing that I wouldn't mind seeing is more pigmentation, it's more of just a nice shimmer/sheen. But still, I love it. Looking for an alternative to Bare Study ? Try this. It's awesome.

Blush -Cover Girl - Cheekers Blush
rated 3 of 5

PROS - nice color - good lasting power - small and compact, easy to travel with CONS - terrible packaging ! - smell may bother you - not very pigmented I have this blush in "Natural Rose" I believe. The color is great for my fair (N4) skin... But it takes a while to GET that color... It's a combination between the pigmentation and the packaging. Its a little compact with a rectangle of product... SO ANNOYING. How are you supposed to get color on to your blush brush ? I mean, in the end I really like the staying power and the color, but the packaging is so irritating... I'd rather spend an extra dollar or two for a bigger sized (round!) blush...

Mascara -Cover Girl - Professional Super Thick Lash Mascara
rated 5 of 5

I LOVE THIS MASCARA ! It's very difficult for me to find a mascara that I like... Most give me raccoon eyes in no time. This mascara is fantastic. No raccoon eyes, no flaking, holds my curl, thickens, seperates and lengthens. I apply my mascara by curling my lashes, then folding a tissue and putting it on my eyelid, it shields my lid, and helps the mascara grab every lash. One coat looks good. Two coats looks even better. I have no clumping problems when I put on a second coat after the first has dried, nor do I have a problem layering over wet mascara. The packaging is nice, not that it really matters. A sleek red tube, closes securly, and has a decent amount of product. I love it. Have I gone over everything ? ... Price, $5 Canadian pretty much everywhere... One of the cheapest mascaras at the drugstore, but one of the best ! Overall, LOVE it and would absolutely repurchase, in fact, I will be stocking up in case they decide to discontinue this...

Powder -MAC - Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation

Covers great for a powder, can look powdery if you use too much. Always use a brush ! And a clean sponge to conceal. Expensive, but worth it to me. I use it every single day.

Eyes -MAC - Paint Pot in Bare Study
rated 4 of 5

First of all - you cannot apply too much of this ! I think that is why so many people have problems. I use this as an eye base, its a great shimmery colour for my fair (N4) skin... I hardly swipe my finger in the pot, then blend all over my eye. Make sure you don't put too much on, especially in your crease. Then just set it with a light dusting of an eyeshadow (of your skin tone). I think I may try a darker colour because you must apply them so sheerly, and putting a nice champagne colour over top makes it even lighter. Very nice though. Only complaints are : - the price, of course ! - how you can only apply a little, so you can't get much colour.

Eye Shadow -Sally Girl - Sally Girl Eye Shadow Connecting Compacts
rated 5 of 5
kh0pe 6/23/2009 2:00:00 AM

I LOVE THESE EYESHADOWS ! I have four colours : coral, champagne, bronze, and purple haze. I always use a MAC paintpot as a base, and then lightly dust "champagne" from the lashline to the brow bone to set the base. Then I'll use bronze on my lid. Sometimes I'll use purple haze (or another brighter purple) under my eye, it's really pretty. Coral is a pretty pink, but I don't use it much, it's super sheer. These eyeshadows last me all day ! ALL DAY. No creasing or fading. They are super cheap and I love how you can connect them to make whatever combination you'd like. If you're looking for eyeshadow, I seriously seriously recommend these. They're really awesome.

Palettes -Coastal Scents - 56 Piece Eye Shadow/Blush Palette
rated 3 of 5
kh0pe 3/30/2009 11:40:00 PM

Eye shadows are great quality, love them (but be sure to use a base/primer... MIX HALF FOUNDATION HALF MOISTURIZER OR BODY BUTTER AND YOU'VE MADE YOUR OWN!) Unfortunately, they have almost no natural/neutral shades. Plenty of dark browns, but no skin tone/tan/beige for us fair-skinned girls. The blushes are super bright ! There is an orange (yes, plain old bright orange), a brown (that you could use as bronzer if you go very lightly?), and some hot hot hot pinks. These could be great for darker skin tones, but again, for us with fair skin they are a little on the extreme side. I wouldn't re-purchase because these will last me forever ! :-)

Concealers -Cover Girl - fresh complexion concealer
rated 3 of 5
kh0pe 3/30/2009 11:33:00 PM

Great for under eye circles, love it. Bad for concealing blemishes, it's not pigmented enough to cover redness unless you apply layer upon layer upon layer. Have dark eyes ? Buy this ! Need coverage for your blemishes ? Get something more pigmented.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Exact
rated 4 of 5
kh0pe 3/30/2009 11:24:00 PM

I love this mascara ! I kept straying away from it and trying other mascaras, but I always come back to this one. PROS - wand size is great (not to big, easy to use) - no raccoon eyes [!] does not smudge unless you cry - almost clump-free - layers well (buildable) CONS - there isn't nearly enough product in the tube, is usually gone by 2 months - doesn't hold a curl (will keep your lashes "up" by not curled) I highly recommend this mascara, it is one of the best I have found so far. **Tip: I fold a tissue and put it on my eyelid/under my eye when applying and there is absolutely no mess** :-)

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara
rated 1 of 5
kh0pe 3/30/2009 11:18:00 PM

Goes on nicely, but doesn't thicken my lashes much. I was having a raccoon-eye problem, and I thought it was my skin or moisturizer under my eye, turns out when I went back to my LashExact by CoverGirl (the purple one), I had zero raccoon-eye. This mascara would always end up under my eyes, all smudged-looking (even though I wouldn't touch my eyes) and unfortunately, I had to throw it out.
