Firstly, I bought this product on recommendation from a a therapist who works in a salon I walk pass everyday. It was the day before my school gala and my skin was looking ... dry, uneven and dull. My skin issue: Uneven skin tone, dry and oily, dull What I needed: I told her i wanted something that would fix my problem like right now She said I should see immediate result such as skin brightened and smooth complexion and I should use it teh night before and the day after, before the event. However: She would recommend the refining mask to use in combi for an even better result(I didnt buy it) result: I saw results with one use the night before! I used it the next morning and I was in awe! NOW: my skin looks amazing after 5 days NB: I use CVS night cream on my face and a face oil(Nuxe) this may be why I say such quick results

** I am a moisturiser Junkie! I swear! I am always on teh lookout for a moisturiser that has a lasting effect. My pervious love was Nivea, mainly because my skin looks nice and bright and felt soft after use.My issue with Nivea is that it is not a long lasting moisturiser. I generally use vaseline on my feet at nights and wanted something with a similar active ingredient to use on my entire body( Vaseline is great but takes longer to absorb). My search for the best lead me to Eucerin Healing ointment.I have no skin problems but as I said I love to moisturise my skin as part of giving back to my body(along with eating healthy and exercising) I have not been disappointed I slather on after taking a shower or whenever I have a few minutes to allow absorbtion. I dont use this when I am about to go out in the sun etc. Most people prefer to use this product during winter but I am big advocate for using moisturiser when its humid ( I live in the Caribbean and summer here is humid) but humidity keeps the skin soft why not slather up and get super soft skin ? Pros 1. soft skin guranteed( use at nights wake up baby soft) 2. Long lasting( rub a small amount between palms to warmn it goes a long way) 3. Not many ingredients 4. will improve skin texture Cons 1. thick consistency that may discourage use 2. Takes a while to absorb (about 10 minutes)

Lips -Jordana - Easyshine Glossy Lip Color

I am still surprise as to how awesome this lip gloss is! I must admit that I like the Jordana "easy" line( ..the liquid pen liner is great for a modest cat eye) I have tried other Jordana lip gloss b4 but this one last very longcompared to the other glosses from this brand( I did a test on the drive from the grocery while munching baby carrots and it didnt budge much. I was really pleasantly surprised by the pigment( I gt watermelon) It is the right amount of popping color combined with the right amount of shine. I like the spring tend of bright lips but its not my personality to wear overtly loud colors...this allows me to cheat , bright color but not too 'loud" I wear mine over lip balm with SPF Burt Bees to be exact

Packaging : hmm .. I don't like jars but because this jar is opaque I am convince the ingredients most be more stable .I think its good enough. Ingredients: I am not too familiar with theincredients in this product. I decided to do my research @ the store .. Bad idea .I do know that it has some patent pending technology that will allow it to not only hydrate your skin today but teach ur skin to hydrate itself in the future Texture : this is a like a gel and creme combination.It goes on easy and my face looked hydrated immediately.This somewhat thick so it takes a little while to absorb into my skin (2minutes) over my Serum.My skin is combi ,sometimes oily so I would not wear it during the day. Result : OMG! The first two nights I used this creme my face and eyes were stinging!! I read a prev review about stinging the eyes so I took special care not to apply too close to my eye...that did not help!I. Decided to give it a 3 day trial . On day 3 there was no stinging . I had no rashes or redness after the stinging.I woke up each morning with baby soft skin.It does what it says "Hydrate" I was not looking for NE thing else from this creme. I just realise that the PR was right I needed to use a moisturiser with my Estee Lauder Night recovery serum.I thought the advise was just a ploy to get me to spend more. Buy this product if U want to hydrate your skin .. Don't know of any other results. The lotion was also good but I opted for creme for its thicker formula as its only for night use. WARNING!! Althu I waited out the stinging It was a personal gamble. IFthe stinging somes with irritation I wld discontinue use.

Lipstick -Estee Lauder - Pure Color Lipstick in Sugar Honey 183

What can I say .. This lipstick is awesome!! The color is flattering on my warm olive skin. Its very close to the color of my lips so it looks like a nude on me. Although the color isn't obviious on me it make my lips look plump. Color : pink with golden tone/bronze.Its slightly frosted. Formula: It goes on smooth. But does not moisturize. Once I removed it my lips felt dry.I would recommend using a lip balm as a base.For added shine I use EL Honey High gloss on top.IT last a very long time up to 8 hours . Price: I got it as a free gift from Macys (going on now!!) When I purchased something worth $29 + This lipstick compliments my "glowing" makeup look. Its a minimalist dream CONS: smell is strong!

Price: Dior ... Oh gosh why r u ur mascaras so $$$. This is bad since the product is limited but I guess you guys do it to ensure we the costumer don't go beyond the 3 month recommended usage (raised eye brows) Packaging : I personally luv the big wand . I got a lot of practice in with my lil affair with covergirl lashblast. Formula: this is uber black ! There is no sign of my natural eyelash color when I. Apply this mascara.It is mostly for volume but if u wiggle the wand up and to the side it does add ame length and gives the eye a nice wide awake and big effect.This like Diorshow azure dries very quickly and takes sme mastering to get a seond coat on without clumping.To avoid clumping all coats must be applied b4 the mascara dries. For my bottom lashes I swipe the brush across in oppose to trying to capture them swoping down. I find that with big brushes this method is more effective.this method tends to leave some product on my lower eye lid so I dip a qtip in eye remover and do a quick clean up. At nights I just leave te excess mascara on. My lower lid (it looks like eyeliner when done right) This mascara goes well with Dior estase if u are someone into layering.

I got a tiny sample of this moisturizer from the Dior counter @ macys. I was immediately impress the moment I applied it. The creme went on smoothly. A small amount goes a long way. My skin was instantly hydrated and looked calmed. The morning after I noticed that my face still look hydrated like I had just had a good night sleep . I did use this over my Estee Lauder serum .My face looked refreshed but not "glowing" . I am on my 3rd day using my tiny sample but so far I am liking this product. I won't be purchasing the full size however as I am in search of an affordable but enriching face creme. This is beyond my budget.

Mascara -Christian Dior - Diorshow Mascara in Azure Blue

N.B this is like a shocking shocking blue !!The world will be able to tell u are weraing blue mascara. Packaging /wand : the wand is huge. It is truly a big brush and takes some practise if u have never used a big wand b4.The tip of the wand which I normally use to catch the tiny lashes as well as my lower lash is also bigger than the regular wand.There quantity is small the bottle feels empty once the "broom" is removed.LOL Price: could be cheaper but I assume I paid for the excellent high pigment. Formula: warning this mascara dries in a flash apply multipple coats quickly or else it will clump. I don't knwo what the secret is but my lashes were pumped up like 300% more . It sure adds volume and with expert hands u could also lengthen . I have been using mascara since I was 13 so I have mastered all the tricks .. Apply quickly and wiggle the wand to lenghten. I love blue mascara and this is truly a bright blue.This mascara could easily wear you in oppose to u wearing it.A freind of mine said its "funky" and she love it but would not be able to wear it as I do. It made my brown eyes pop! " My brother said my eyes look "open" lol.I opt to wear it with a dark blue eyeliner in oppose to black to avoid my eyes looking harsh. CONS ; pricy for the quantity Dries very quickly 1 point away from being a stage makeup!! ** I forgot to mention that my lashes looked conditioned after wear and that it comes off very easily. I would love to see a blue eye person wearing this mascara!

** The new formula is a definate improvement on the old . The improvement I like the most is the 3Pcomplex which is suppose to protect the skin from harmful effects of todays pollution(wish I could slather some on mother earth to protect her from poluttion) UVA DEBATE: I think the. EP3 complex is what blocks UVA .. UVA protection is for free radical .. Aging from pollution in the environment..No? Packaging: a convenient container that's easy to open even after using moisturizer.The little opening remains clean and doest get clogged from dried on product.It also dispenses the right amount of screen for each area ,I usually divide my face in 4 when apply products.Its also travel friendly 1floz. Price : wish it wash cheaper but I think its value for money. A small amount goes a long way,3 drops could cover your entire face. My last bottle lasted over 1 year and I use sunscreen every day. Formula: It looks white and is a bit "runny" not very thick or creamy.Once you apply it to your face it creates a thin transparent veil that creates a nice base for makeup. I am olive complexion .. Well a true caramel complexion and it doesn't look white on my face.I am amaze at the smoothing effect it has. I don't need a moisturiser with this sunscreen but I am a EVOO girl so my skin remains moist and I live in a very humid environment Application: I use 2 drops per area I.e forehead cheeks and then 1 drop for my nose and chin.If its late evening I use only 1 drop per area (the sun is usually not striking straight at me arnd that time) CONS: I personally think it should not have a fragrance. It does disappear quickly however The price is a bit high ,in todays world sunscreen is a necesessity as such it should be dirt cheap. Over all I see myself buying this for years to come. ** samples last up to a week!! Try it!

This is just day too of my experimen Ingredients: Juice of 1 carrot(half is just as good for a thicker formula) 1 tablespoon Yogurt( I got non fat bcus it was teh cheapest and I didnt notice until I got home ) 1 tablespoon sour cream. Optional: lemon juice to help improve the brightening power. Mix!! refridgerate: I use it as a moisturizer at nights following my serum and during the day when I am home. Could be used as a mask as well My skin looked bright and toned in 1 day ! N.B another method is to boil ,mash and combine carrots with other ingredients,,,,this works best for a mask

Polishes -China Glaze - Towel Boy Toy

This is my brightest in your face color.Everyone raves about how they love it one me. It takes a mere two coats to get it opaque.The first coat was good enough but my application skill is nto great so I needed the second coat to get it perfect. It dries quickly to an almost matte finish.I think it could be that light doesnt bounce off the color that well and such creates a somewhat matte-ish look. It look great against my warm olive skin. Look great when wearing white,black or khaki. I go monochrome with everything else I am wearing and this polish is my only pop of color. It si definately a summer color.Although I dont wear polish on my toes I think it would look great on toes,on the beach :)

This is my second exp with a Nivea moisterizer....I am impress! I picked up this lotion on a semi impulsive buy .I started using teh Nivea Creme a few weeks ago .Although I love that it super moisturising it feels aweful in the muggy,humid.hellis,stifling heat.I opted for this lotion in hope that I would get teh same wonderful effect in a lighter lotion. I must admit i applied the lotion about 4 hours after takinga shower and it glided on effortless ,was the perfect concistency for the humid weather and gave me just as much moisture as nivea cream. Next time i will apply to my damp,just out the shower skin. I did a close examination of my skin after 2 hrs and it was still fully moist with a slight shimmer. My only issue..and this is my issue with most Nivea products is teh strong fragrance...gosh my nose are still stuffy as I type. Thsi lotion is not a good hand cream....as u know the hands luv to go dry..crazy hand :(

Unused portion sitting in my cupboard..about to gather dust. I bought this product after reading some awesome review on MUA. wow...it was a big fail for me. I was looking for something to exfoliate my face and calm ocassional redness. The granules(scrubby thingy) are very fine .I would say so fine its impossible to exfoliate . The smell is nice and cleane. After the first use my skin was baby smooth and calmed..then over night I started breaking out. I assumed it must have been somethinge else soo... I gave it another try and zits pop up all over my face. I definately dont think this is for me. ..probably its a bit too harsh for sensitive acne pron skin. I will probably use it on my feet though...it does smell like a quality spa product

Treatments -Sally Hansen - Vitamin E Moisturizing Nail & Cuticle Oil

I am so into taking care of my feet that my hands were going to the dogs...literally paws forming! I bought this product as part of me hand rejuv project. My initial impression was not too good. although my raggedy cuticle disappeared for about 10 minutes after application it resurfaced shorty after. I was not impress with the brush. It seem to me as if the brush always have too much oil on it.It kept dripping all over my table. ....I thought i would give the entire formula a boost by: adding a sliced garlic clove to the oil and leaving it for two days. N.B I had to throw away a small amount of the oil to accomodate the garlic slices. The results were amazing. I woke up with nicely moisturized cutticle and the tips of my nails were nice and white. the is s slight smell on application but it goes away in a few seconds. I may buy this product again or I may just save the bottle to add some olive oil n garlic slices to make my own cuticle oil!

Eye Shadow -Hard Candy - In The Shadows 5 Shades 024 Temptation

Got this over the weekend > I immediately tested it .I decided to use the darker of the five shades to create somewhat of a smokey eye. The colors look great in the palette but the colors are super sheer. I did a dry application to one lid and wet my brush for the other. The difference was significant.colors popped abt two shades darker. I dont think I would buy this HC product again.Revlon colors are more pigmented. The package is sooooo cute though...but U cant apply packaging now can you?
