Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow in Tough as Taupe
kenji2221 6/18/2012 7:59:00 PM
Love this! I got it at Target awhile ago for around $6. I'm usually not a fan of cream shadows due to creasing and I just find them to be less convenient to use than powder shadows . . but this is the exception. The color is great and I like that it's matte and stays put over my E.L.F. primer! I usually pair this with MAC's Brown Script in the crease, and it makes for a subtle smokey-ish eye. I would definitely repurchase but I don't think I'll be finishing this anytime soon because I only use a little bit each time. Very good product!
Lip Gloss -Clinique - Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss in Currant
kenji2221 12/11/2009 6:54:00 PM
This is the best feeling lip gloss I own! I also love the hint of plummy/ berry color this gives my lips. It has good lasting power and leaves my lips soft and moisturized. I'm always looking for new lip products so I don't think I will repurchase this anytime soon, but this is an excellent product . . .a bit pricey, but great!
I have been looking for a leave in conditioner that wouldn't make my hair sticky or greasy and I think this is my new hg hair product. This stuff is super cheap (I got it on sale for $2.50 but I think it's normally like $4.50), it moisturizes my thick, dry hair (I'm prone to split ends and I straighten my hair sometimes), smells great, and comes with a ton of product. I used this on my damp hair, working a walnut sized amount through it (I have a lot of hair). The cream that I cought actually is the "color shield" version. Anyways, after it dried, it left my hair feeling silky and looking shiny, and my split ends were smoothed down. I will definitely repurchase this when I run out!
I have never bought a bronzer before but since this was on sale for $0.99 I decided to give it a try. I picked this one because it look pigmented enough to show up on my CCC skin. Anyways, I love this stuff. it's the perfect color and gives my cheeks definition and shimmer. I was so used to wearing blush which sometimes looked to obvious, but this bronzer is subtle yet noticeable. I liked this so much that I bought a second one today (had to stock up). I will definitely repurchas this whether it's $0.99 or $2.99!!
I got this in "Fairy Wings". It's a sparkly, nude "gel" eyeshadow that can give you light to havey sparklyness. I use this e/s when I'm going out and it's very attention grabbing. It really lights up my eyes. I dab it on and it dries really quickly, AND there is very little fall out. I will repurchase this when I run out
I love love love this color. It's a gorgeous sparkly olive/brown color. Unfortunately, the sparkles in the eyeshadow tend to fall out on my cheek. There's just no way to prevent it. I usually use this color in my crease for sexy definition. And for $10 this is a great e/s. i just don't know if I would reurchase it because of the fall out
I got the diamond shadow in #311 which is a beautiful burgundy color. I was really debating as to whether I should get it (I've never/ and don't intend to spend $20 on one e/s for a long time), but I had a coupon from Sephora and decided to get it because of the great color. I use it wet, which enhances the color and it doesn't crease or fade. This is a great product, and they have a good variety of colors. i just don't want to shell out $20 for it again. It might not sound like a lot, but it is to a broke college student like me :(
I got this last week and I'm loving it. The thing I like the most is the little plastic brush. I know other reviewers have commented about it being clumpy or weighing their lashes down but all this amscara requires is a light hand. You don't need more than 2 light coats. Anyways, I fell asleep with this on and wore it halfway through the NEXT day with no flaking, smudging, or budging. This stuff is great and I will gladly buy it again!
Lipstick -Revlon - Renewist Lipcolor in Chocolate Satisfaction
kenji2221 12/18/2008 12:05:00 AM
OMG I got this on sale for $2.39 at Walgreens. I've never tried any Revlon l/s but figured I'd buy one since it was so cheap. I eyed the colors (which was hard to do with the packaging) but I guessed that Chocolate Satisfaction would probably compliment my skin tone . . . and it does! It's a prettybrown/pink l/s that applies smoother than anything else I've ever tried. it feels very moisturizing and natural. It gives me a MLBB and slightly darker look. It's great for a polished look. I will definitely repurchase this is I ever find it on sale again.
Lip Gloss -Sally Hansen - Smile Brightening Lip Treatment Luminous
kenji2221 12/18/2008 12:01:00 AM
I got this in a 2 pack on sale for $3.49 and I must say that it's a great buy. I'm not sure if it makes my smile look brighter but it's a great color. It's a brown/rosy/mauve color and it feels like liquid lipstick. Very pigmented and smooth. It has ok staying power but I don't think it's a color i'd wear everyday . . . maybe when I'm really made up (I'm more of a nude l/g kind of girl). Anyways, this is a pretty and beautiful gloss, but I don't think I'll ever need to repurchase it haha
I have this brush but it's the Professional one (I don't really know if there's a difference but the one I have is black). Anyways, this is the best brush I've ever used. The hairs are super soft and dense which give you smooth and perfectly blended results. I use this to apply my powder foundation. Also, it's had VERY little shedding. Maybe like 5 hairs altogether. There are absolutely no cons with this brush, only pros.
This is seriously my HG powder. before this powder I had always worn translucent powders but I decided to venture into something with more coverage. Anyways, I had never tried any sephora products but I found this perfectly matched my skin and was matte (which i love). I got it in the shade D35, and I use a dense brush to dab a few applications on my face . . . and then I buff buff buff. The end result is a natural looking matte finish. You can also use this foundation wet if you want to conceal something. Anyways, I will continue to buy this forever and ever and long as they don't change anything. I love this stuff!
Eyeliner -Maybelline - Define-A-Line in Rich Raisin
kenji2221 11/13/2008 8:44:00 PM
I hate this product. I got it at Rite Aid (BOGOF) and when I went home to try it out, I was so disappointed. The liner is so oily/creamy that it barely shows up, the color is not as dark as it appears on the tube, and it has no staying power whatsoever. I was seriously tempted to bring it back to rite aid and get my money back. I will never repurchase this.
Lip Gloss -Clinique - Glosswear For Lips in Whisper
kenji2221 11/13/2008 8:30:00 PM
So I got this for 50% off at a sale for discontinued Clinique items, which makes me sad because I love it but apparently can't buy it anymore. Anyways, this gloss is perfect! I layer it along with Clinique Air Kiss for perfect luscious lips. The texture is great, not too thick and sticky. And the gloss has the perfect "glimmer". Not shimmer or sparkle . . .glimmer. It's sexy and subtle and makes my eyes pop. If I could repurchase this, I definitely would. I've been using this everyday since I bought it.
Eyeliner -Clinique - Brush-on Cream Liner Smoke Grey
kenji2221 11/13/2008 8:27:00 PM
This color looked gorgeous in the pot (a brown-grey), but I'm sad to say that it was very unimpressive once I put it on. I really wanted to like it but I'm used to my signature black eyeliner, and felt unsatisfied with this on. I just think it would look better on someone with a lighter skin tone (I'm a CCC) so that it would stand out more. The quality is good and it has great staying power, but the color just didn't do anything for me. I won't be repurchasing this.
