Styling Products -Redken - Solid Water 06 Wet Set Gel [DISCONTINUED]
kelbelle927 4/5/2007 3:11:00 PM
I was so sad when this was discontinued, but it's back in the form of 06 Crystal Curls! My stylist showed it to me yesterday, and it's the exact same texture, even the exact same smell. The only difference is this price went up about five dollars, and you get a lot less. But, this is the only thing I can use to make my curls look good, so I'll stick with it.
I can finally say with complete confidence that the All Soft line is my HG haircare. I have coarse, long-ish hair (dry at the ends, easily weighted down at the roots) that I flatiron very frequently, so the damage adds up fast. Other shampoos leave my hair feeling disgustingly dry and coarse at the ends, but greasy at the roots, but not All Soft. I haven't had any issues with it weighting down my hair. Whenever I use this s/c combo, I'm left with extremely soft, frizz-free, beautifully moisturized hair. The smell is also amazing. A honey-coconut type smell. My ends have NEVER looked so good. I'd reccomend this product to anyone, regardless of hair type. On a side note, the conditioner also makes your hands INCREDIBLY soft. Whenever I'm with my boyfriend after I've reccently used the conditioner, he always comments on how soft my hands are. Too bad they don't make All Soft in a lotion form!
Styling Products -Garnier - Full Control Hairspray (ultra strong)

ew. EW EW EW EW EW. i bought this as an alternative to my aussie instant freeze, which i can't stand anymore, thanks to the smell. i used this stuff when i scrunched my hair, and i loved it. awesome smell, excellent hold. but then later that night i noticed that i had this weird, white flakey stuff along my part line. i thought i just had too much product build-up or something. so i washed my hair the next day, put this stuff in again, and i was fine. but after i finished styling my hair, i changed my part to the side, and THERE IT WAS AGAIN. that white, nasty, flakey buildup that looked disgustingly like dandruff. i re-washed my hair, styled it with my old hairspray, and went over every inch of my hair. no white flakes. i'm guessing all of these flakes were from the "fruit microwaxes". i sprayed some of this stuff into my hand, and i could actually FEEL the little waxy things in it. EW. why don't they just call this product "DANDRUFF IN A CAN!", because that's sure as hell the way it made me look.
great color, love it =)
I don't get what all the rave about this is. It didn't give my skin that pretty flawless look that a lot of you had said it gives. I liked the compact, though, and the fact that you could control the amount of coverage. There are so many things wrong with this foundation, though. One: color was waaaaay off, even though the person at the counter said it was a "perfect match". Two: clung onto dry spots, accentuated my pores, and turned orange on me after awhile. Three: this stuff smelled weird. like some sort of musty nasty scent, it drove me crazy all day. and finally, Number Four, the icing on the cake: this sucker made me break out, and I NEVER get breakouts from products. Two giant zits on my cheek, where I've never broken out before, and one giant zit on the center of my forehead. How attractive. Thanks, but no thanks, MAC, I'll stick with my old foundation.
Hair Styling Tools -Conair - Crimper/shiner/straightener/waver
kelbelle927 7/9/2005 3:25:00 PM
This was the very first straightner I ever bought, when I was ten. The waver was okay, the straightner stunk, the crimper -what the heck was that supposed to be? it made weird little lines that hardly showed all through my hair- was weird, and the shiner? Don't get me started on the shiner. How do two plates with something like CARPET on them make your hair shinier? This thing is only good if you're five and want to play around with you and your Barbie's hair. It takes so long to heat up, about 20 minutes. No thanks, Conair, I think I'll stick with my new Sedu, which can heat up to 450 degrees in twenty SECONDS, not minutes.
Liquid -Almay - Nearly Naked Touch-Pad liquid makeup
kelbelle927 7/9/2005 3:20:00 PM
I thought this product was a little weird. I mean, sticking your hand on a pad to get foundation? It seems unsanitary. The color selection was bad, and the foundation was extremly runny and dripped everywhere. I can't remember why I put up with it for as long as I did.
This stuff is a little too sharp. Very perfumey. However, I like the fresh, clean scent.
Fragrances -Ralph Lauren - RALPH COOL [DISCONTINUED]
kelbelle927 7/9/2005 3:16:00 PM
This is the only perfume that I can stand. I love it. The fresh, fruity smell is great for summer. And the bottle is cute, too. I haven't bought it yet, but as soon as I save up the money, I'm getting this.
I really liked this mascara, but it came off at everything. Smeared like crazy.
It didn't do anything at all except darken my lashes. I don't see the point in it.
QHMJM, where have you been all my life?! I love this. HG Mask. Shrinks my pores, helped remove blackheads, evened out my skin tone, and made my skin feel a lot firmer. THE BEST spot treatment. Practically kills zits. Best. Mask. EVER.
Ha. This thing is a joke. The compact is extremely hard to open and close, it took me a long time to figure out how to just open it. The foundation is barely there, and if you want the least bit of coverage, you have to apply it about five times. Covergirl, WHAT ON EARTH were you thinking with this?
Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Makeup Removing Cleanser
kelbelle927 7/9/2005 2:45:00 PM
Very nice cleanser. It doesn't remove my waterproof mascara as well as I'd like it to, but it certainly does a good job at it. The pump sticks, which gets annoying, though. I love the lightness of it, it truly is a foam. No annoying greasy residue. I'll repurchase for now.
Love it. Stays on through anything, almost perfect color match with Buff (I'm an NC20 for referrence). The only bad thing is the smell, it's slightly annoying. Other than that, I'm in love with this foundation.
