Pressed Powders -Marcelle - Pressed Powder Translucent Medium
keekz 5/10/2013 8:06:00 PM
HG powder for my oily self. I use the powder sponge it comes with to apply, but i press it into my skin for a satiny finish and wash when it becomes dirty and re-use. Price is great, sometimes i find it on sale for $7 at Shoppers Drugmart. I like the fact that there are quite a few shades. Doesn't offer much coverage, more for absorbing oil but that's all i need it for.

Brows -The Body Shop - Eyebrow kit
keekz 5/10/2013 8:03:00 PM
I would def. purchase this again and has become an HG for my eyebrows. The looks is so natural yet striking, if that makes sense? I used to use thousands of different eyebrow fillers, from pencils to liquid fillers and now this powder. I cant remember what the price was at the time, but i dont remember it being steep. I like the fact that there are two colours, although i only use the darker shade of brown for my eyebrows. I use the lighter colour for my contouring (sneaky hehe).

Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Advantage 3-in-1 Exfoliating Cleanser
keekz 5/10/2013 7:59:00 PM
HG cleaner for me, hands down. Only cleanser i have used for the past 4+ years. My face loves BP and in Canada we only make 5% but that does the trick. Thsi face wash always leaves my face tight like sh*t, but i apply cream and im good to go. Any time that ive had a break out from changing foundations, etc., this face wash has always cleared them right up. Cleanser can be found (in Canada) at Wal-Mart and Shoppers Drug Mart. Wal-Mart sells it for cheaper, around $8.00, Shoppers for about $13. It doesn't have a lot of cleansing beads, but it is enough to do something. I have bleached so many towels, headbands, and shirts because of this cleanser, but HEY IT WORKS!

Liquid -NARS - Sheer Glow Foundation
keekz 5/10/2013 6:18:00 PM
The only reason i would not buy this product again is because of the pimples it so generously left me. I remember using this product 2 years ago and really liked it, but then i got bored and switched to MUF HD foundation. Eventually, i became bored of that foundation and decided to switch back to sheer glow. Everything was good for the first day, and then i got pimples on my forehead that were big, almost itchy, and took a while to disappear. I really liked the finish; was not harsh in daylight, looked good at night, photographs well, and covers well. The colour matches are great, such a wide variety. I dont mind that the bottle has a cap you have to unscrew, but i sort of mind the price. It's pretty heafty for liquid foundation that doesnt last more than a month. All in all, had it not gave me pimples im sure this would have been my HG... sadly, didnt work the second time around.

Eye Shadow -Annabelle - Haute Chocolate Trio Eyeshadow
keekz 2/4/2013 12:45:00 PM
I have very fair skin, with a cool undertone and brown eyes. This set of colours together is just wonderful on and has the greatest colour payoff, and not just for department store! This set beats a lot of my other brands like MAC and others from Sephora. I paid about $12 Canadian for it from Shoppers and i'm very glad i did.

Brows -Make Up For Ever - Aqua brow
keekz 1/30/2013 8:23:00 PM
I love love love this brow formula. It's got just the right amount of pigment, stays on until you want it off, is a decent price, and comes in a cute little tube. I sometimes sleep in my makeup and i am AMAZED at how lovely my eyebrows look in the morning, this sh*t seriously doesn't budge!

Skincare - Face -Unlisted Brand - Ice Cubes
keekz 1/30/2013 6:48:00 PM
So, i read the reviews last night and decided to try it out. I had a little pimple forming on my chin so i applied an ice cube for 3 mins, on and off, and in the morning it was definatley smaller but not gone. Seeing as this pimple-fighting method is free, you really can't go wrong! Only downfall is that it hurts a bit when you apply to more sensitive areas such as the forehead.

Lip Treatments -Maybelline - Baby Lips lip balm
keekz 1/29/2013 8:27:00 PM
These balms smell so nice! I have the blue, which smells like vanilla, and the bright pink, which smells fruity. I really like the colour pay off with the pink lip chap and the fact that it has SPF so i can wear it in the summer and its not as heavy as other lipsticks. The price is decent for drugstore but i wish it were a little more moisturizing.

Lipstick -MAC - Lickable
keekz 1/29/2013 8:22:00 PM
I love this lipstick so much that it may be my HG to pair with a nude eye or smokey bold eye. On me, the colour is reddy/fuschia and i like to pair it with a brown lipliner with a sort of reddy under tone. I am very pale and i find that it makes everything pop while also giving a glow to my skin. The price is OK, but that is what you get from MAC. I love the smell and the container is very sleek. The colour stays on until you actually want it off and it is not drying being a "creemsheen" colour.

Powders -Johnson & Johnson - Baby Powder
keekz 1/29/2013 8:05:00 PM
I have bought so many powders throughout the years, from high-end to drugstore, and i am amazed at how much i love this product as a face powder. First off, i use products with Talc in them and i do not break out, so i was not afraid of this breaking me out and it has not (i have the scented version). It is so oil absorbing and i have very oily skin! I like applying this with a powder puff? I press it onto my forehead, chin, and nose and under the eyes for fall out. I also use this as dry shampoo and it is great! Never used a better one.

Skincare - Face -Pro Activ - 3-Step System
keekz 1/29/2013 7:56:00 PM
I tried this product years ago when i was a teen and had acne on my chin and forehead (cystic and whiteheads) and i bought this 3-step system thinking that it would be the cure all. Turns out it made my skin so much worse, HOWEVER, now that i am much older and have had the chance to see what my skin does/doesn't like, i know why my face hated this. I cannot use anything with salycic acid, or any type of acid. I also didn't realize that you should wash your makeup off with an actual makeup removing cleanser, and that the face wash this comes with will not do the trick. It was a lot of money and i found that my cystic acne became worse and i got fed up and returned it. After all, who wants to break out before things get better? I just wanted it to be gone and this was not helping any.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Lineur Intense
keekz 1/29/2013 7:32:00 PM
I am quite the makeup junkie, and have tried many liquid, gel, cream, and pencil liners and this liner is by FAR the best one I have ever used. The price is a bit steep as i find most of L'Oreal's products, but the colour payoff is absolutley great. You will not find a liner that is darker than this stuff! It makes my brown eyes pop no matter what. I don't really like the brush itself for creating a wing as its a bit flimsy? But overall it's a great staple.

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Lots of Lashes
keekz 1/29/2013 7:17:00 PM
I am not a huge mascara buff, but i really do like this mascara. I find that it seperates, lengthens, and makes my lashes look beautiful! I had been using Voluminous for a long time, mainly for volume, but this mascara i find is better. It is quite cheap and i think the packaging is really cute. I will definatley repurchase.

Misc Beauty Tools -Clarisonic - Mia
keekz 1/29/2013 6:59:00 PM
Like many people, it took me a long time to break down and finally buy this tool. I am always looking for another item/product to help my skin to be the best that it can be, and i am kicking myself for not buying the Clarisonic sooner. It is quite expensive, around $130 Canadian and it is recommended that you change the brush every three months, and those cost $30. Whether you are looking to clear your acne, prevent acne, or just want a good clean wash at the end of the day, this will do for you. What made me so apprehensive was the fact that people had said it would break you out before it would clear your skin. The first thing i thought of when I heard that was Pro-Active and how HORRIBLE that had left my skin, and that was their catch phrase. It did not make me break out in any way shape or form, but cleansed deeply and effectivley. My skin breaks out if i touch it, put the wrong powder on, or if i look at it weird, and this has done NO wrong. If i do get a pimple (which occurs when i decide to sleep in my makeup OOPS), this machine will bring it to a head that is easy to get rid of, OR will make it dissolve quicker than if i hadn't been using the Clairsonic. Great purchase/investment and am glad i chose it.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Wedge Eyeshadow
keekz 5/5/2012 5:03:00 PM
I use this as contour for my nose and it works wonders. For reference, I am extremley pale (I belong in Twilight) and it looks pretty natural on me, especially if I use the right brush with it.
