Lovely pink with a subtle almost blue/metallic irridiscent sheen, which shows up fine on me (NC20/PPP). I am wearing it with deep truth and contrast at the moment but also great with browns and plums. I thought it was a bit different which is saying something as I have loads of pink e/s.

Love it! Looks great with my PPP NC20 complexion. A really easy but stunning eye look - I particularly love the khaki/dirty gold shade on me.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Pigment in Kitschmas

One of my favorite pigments, a lovely pale frosty lavender color. I wear this with violet, cornflower, or silver grey pigment; or as a highlighter/accent shade with many other shadows. My only criticism is that as others have noted a sifter pot would be a good idea.

I have to say I am not impressed with this. Like all long-wear formulas it is very dry, and although the color sort of stays put it goes flaky very quickly and makes my lips look horrible. Not nice!

Tinted Moisturizer -Bobbi Brown - Extra Spf 25 Tinted Moisturizing Balm

This is the ideal day cream for my skin in the winter, when it goes from combo to dry almost overnight. Extra light is the perfect colour for me (NC20), and I love its texure - really soft and buttery, and it feels really nice on. I also appreciate the spf although you would have to put loads on to actually get good protection, and I find I simply don't need loads of it. I personally dont mind the smell, which fades pretty quickly anyway. All in all I think this is a great product for dry/normal skin, if you are oily/combo then this is definitely not for you.

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Blizzard Glossimer

I bought this gloss along with praline after hearing raves about glossimers. Praline I found to be very dull, but I absolutely love blizzard. Its a neutral pinky shade with just enough sparkle to look interesting but not so much that you would only want to wear it at night. I often wear it to work and have had loads of complements.The texture is a little drier than some other glossimers but it doesn't dry my lips out. This is probably the reason it last so well. I will never have only one HG lipgloss but this is one of my six current favorites ! I will repurchase this and look for other colors with this formulation.

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Praline Glossimer

I bought this as I had heard great things about glossimers, and this shade had great reviews - I hoped it would be the ultimate daytime, nude, pinkly shade. It is a nude, pinky shade - however, it is also very boring ! There is nothing which stands out about it. Hence I am unlikely to use it as I have other glosses which are neutral but somehow just much nicer. Plus, it doesn't appear to last very long. I don't think I will repurchase. I am much happier with my blizzard glossimer.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Star Violet (Veluxe pearl)

This was my first veluxe pearl purchase and I love it ! I now own nearly all of them. Star violet is a lovely shimmery deep plummy brown color. It blends really well and lasts for hours on me. My favourite way to wear it at the moment is in the crease with kitschmas pigment on the lid, pink opal to highlight and beauty marked to line. I will repurchase if I ever run out.

I bought this palette and the gem one. This is the one I will use the most I think. There is a great selection of colors and they are all lovely to use with possibly the exception of honey lust which was initially quite difficult to work with, as are many of the lustre shades. However, on the advice of my friendly MAC MA I now press it on rather than try and brush it on and it works much better. My only complaint is (as others have mentioned) the lack of a darker color for lining. The only color I havn't tried yet is parrot - I'm going to have some fun with that !

I thought this was on the whole a pretty good book. I think Bobbis style is very different from that of someone like kevyn Aucoin, but no less valid. I love the neutral look a la Boobi sometimes, but that doesn't mean I don't also love to do something more outrageous at others. There is some good advice in this book - dip into it, take away what appeals to you and ignore anything that doesn't !

Tinted Moisturizer -Tarte - Amazonian Clay BB Tinted Mosturizer (Smooth Operator)

It was a real trial for me to get hold of this product as its not available in the UK - but it was so worth it. I am a MAC NC20 and conceal is the perfect colour for me at the moment (November). I will probably switch to veil in the summer. It goes on beautifully with a foundation brush, and I love the very subtle sparkle effect - not obvious at all. I would describe it as a bit more than a tinted moisturiser but not quite a foundation, so I use it to even out skintone and add a little MAC concealer over the odd blemish. I will definitely repurchase.

I thought this brush was pretty useless. Basically its too wide, too soft and the bristles are too long to do anything with any precision. It also soaks up too much product - not impressed !

Eye Shadow -Bobbi Brown - Eye Shadow in Blonde

I'm a PPP/NC20 with dark blonde hair and this is the perfect brow colour for me. I was pretty unimpressed when the SA suggested it but I let her have a go and it was perfect ! I apply it with the BB eye definer brush as the eyebrow brush is just a little too large. This is one of my staples - I never travel without it !

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #190 Foundation Brush

I really like this brush. I had no idea what a difference it would make. No more soggy sponges soaking up half my foundation and cluttering up the bathroom. It takes a couple of goes to get the hang of it but now I get a much better effect with foundation and tinted moisturiser. After use I just rinse it in MAC brush cleaner and it dries really quickly ready for the next time. Can't imagine it will wear out for some time but if it did I would definitely buy another !

Cleansers -MAC - Cleanse Off Oil

This is the only cleanser I have found which will remove a full face of slap at the first attempt. I follow it up with my normal cleanser, although it could probably be used alone as it doesn't leave any oily residue. It also doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, particularly my eyes. I don't wear full makeup every day so can't vouch for it as a daily cleanser but for intermittent use I am impressed and will buy again !
