My boyfriend told me he was going to buy me some perfume because I didn't have any at the time. (I'm a body spray fan) After smelling so many together we both liked this one. A week or so later I went to his house wearing some. He asked me a little while later what I was wearing because it smelled amazing. I thought he was joking as he had already smelled it in the shop. Apparently it smelled different on me so much s that he thought I was wearing something completely different! I do like this perfume but I have since purchased Flower Bomb which I tend to wear more.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Expert Wear Eye Shadow Single: Linen

I have just hit pan on my second, or possibly third purchase of this shadow. I always use this as my base for every eye look over elf primer. I'm actually more of a high end girl when it comes to shadows but these two simple products are my HG and have been for about 2 years. I also Use this as a highlight on my cheek bones when I am slightly paler in the winter. So affordable and such a great colour!

Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Dark Kiss- Lotion
rated 4 of 5

I received the lotion, body wash and body spray as a gift. When used all together the scent stays all day. I find the scent of just the lotion very pleasant, sexy but not too sexy. The only trouble I have is the smell does not last very long at all. A great daytime date scent. I re-purchased the body spray in a mini version for my purse and my best friend loves it too.

Skincare - Face -Aloette - Acne Treatment Lotion
rated 4 of 5

I really like this product. I've been using it in conjunction with the entire Aloette skincare line. I have really red, acne prone skin and I have tried everything. I was using Clinique for well over 2 years but Aloette is even better. This cream is very effective in reducing redness and helping to heal your acne quicker. My breakouts have been greatly reduced - now I only break out the week prior to my period, which will probably never change. I'm really impressed with how moisturizing this cream is too - most acne lotions are super drying. My only complaint is I wish it came in a tube rather than the little jar it comes in. I am starting to actually like my skin - ladies, try Aloette!

Mascara -Lancome - Cils Booster
rated 5 of 5

One of my favourite products. I had just spent about $20 on Clinique's High Definition - but I didnt like how wet the formula was and it wasn't thickening enough for me. I had a sample of this so I paired the two and my lashes looked great! I also like this with Lancome Definicils and sometimes if I really want to look amazing I will pair it with Hypnose. For my lower lashes I use this and then coat with Blinc Mascara. The other great thing about this is that it will make even a drugstore brand look way better too. I'm buying this product forever.

Eye Shadow -Sephora - SEPHORA COLLECTION/Colorful Mono Eyeshadow/City Fog 02

Strangely enough it is very hard to find a true grey matte eyeshadow. I have tried many greys that look too blue, too black, many have shimmer or glitter... Like the reviewer below me, I struggled to find a matte, plain grey. I bought this after I had tried a sephora blush. Well I used the whole blush, hit pan and never found that colour again. So I got this eyeshadow and I knew the quality would be at least on par with drug store brands. I love this colour. I've had this shadow for about a year now and I probably use it once a week... I have yet to hit pan. I use it wet as an eyeliner, dry as a contour, dry as a lid shade when I get really smoky... Just overall a good quality shadow and in such a unique colour.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express One by One

I've been in love with Lancome Definicils for a few months but at $34 a tube, my budget doesnt allow that type of purchase often as I just bought a new car. My sister was wearing this - her lashes looked SO long! I asked what she was wearing and she showed me. So I popped into my local Walmart after my beloved Definicils ran out and purchased a tube of this. Normally for my drugstore brand I run to Lashblast but I thought what the heck try something new. Let me tell you, at just under $7 Canadian, this is a pretty good mascara. No flakies after an 8 hour work day and an hour commute both ways.... makes your lashes look very long. I wouldnt say it volumizes a whole lot but the brush gets every lash. For those who need a lengthening and defining mascara and don't want to splurge this is a good choice. I might get the waterproof one as well since summer is in full swing! *EDIT* Well I have had this for one month and it is really starting to dry out... although my sister's tube is still going strong and hers is about 2 weeks older than mine. I would still re purchase because of the price, and maybe I got unlucky and got one that was already slightly dry. Oh well!

Top/Base Coats -Sally Hansen - Hard as Wraps - Acrylic Gel
rated 5 of 5
kaylerina 5/5/2011 12:09:00 AM

My normally strong nails had a hell of a week when I moved - I did a lot of box opening and furniture moving and cleaning. That same week I spilled bleach on my hands and the result was cracking, peeling, breaking nails. I picked up a bottle of this and after wearing it for about ten days, then trimming my nails and applying another coat they looked good as new. I've been using it as a base or top coat ever since. As for the little bubbles, I found a smooth, steady application and no bottle shaking eliminated the problem

Polishes -GOSH - Silky Mint
rated 2 of 5
kaylerina 1/23/2011 8:26:00 PM

I was hoping for so much more with this polish! I had to use three coats to get a nice even coverage. I also paid 7$ for the bottle, and it's very small. It has almost a rubbery texture on the nail, and it peels off. Three days is the most you can expect from this polish. I won't be buying Gosh polish again.

Polishes -Orly - Love Each Other
rated 3 of 5

As far as glitter polishes go, this is sort of weak sauce... compared to my OPI glitter polishes. You need AT LEAST four or even five coats to make this one show up. I have to say, if you're going to go through all that effort, at least it does look great. I love the colour enough that I use it often over other colours. It adds a great shimmery purple/blue tone.

Polishes -Nicole - Believe It, Do It
rated 3 of 5

I got this polish as a gift at least four or five years ago. It's a bit too loud for my fingers but I use it in the summer on my toes quite a bit. I can say that the lasting power of this is great on my feet even at the cottage on the dock, and at the beach. One or two coats and you're set for a week of fun.

Liquid -Anna Sui - Moisturizing fluid foundation
rated 4 of 5
kaylerina 9/7/2010 11:48:00 PM

This is the only foundation that is an exact match for my skin. I have it in P04. I really like the consistency. Doesn't cause my sensitive skin to break out. Smells... kind of nice, it reminds me of old ladies, but in a good way... haha. The bottle is super cute, I like the little pump. The only problem I have with this foundation is that on really hot days(25-30C), it feels heavy on my face, and I feel like it's melting into my skin. Thankfully I live in Canada and we only have that kind of weather for about 3 months, if we're lucky. Other than that I love this foundation. My best friend was working at the Anna Sui counter and recommended it for me. I would say if you want medium coverage that lasts and doesn't give you a chalky, dry look, go for this.

Styling Products -Paul Mitchell - Super Skinny Serum
rated 5 of 5
kaylerina 9/7/2010 11:37:00 PM

I love this product! My hairdresser suggested it to me because I complained (and so did she!) that my hair takes an abnormally long time to dry. She used it on me at the salon and we were both happy to see that it did help reduce the drying time. It cut it down by about 12 minutes!(On a high speed, high temp salon quality hairdryer it takes me at least 25 mins to blow dry, and that's after it's been air drying for at least 45 mins) It smells amazing and leaves your hair so soft and shiny. Whenever I use it my hair is just so much more manageable. A bottle is a bit pricey but it lasts forever! And if you luck out and buy the two pack, you save a bunch. One bottle, used about 3 times a week at one pump each time lasts me at least 5 months. I have yet to try the shampoo and conditioner from this line but I am hoping they are just as good as the serum. You will not be disappointed with this product! Highly recommended!

Cleansers -Clinique - Acne Solutions Cleansing Foam
rated 3 of 5
kaylerina 4/11/2010 10:47:00 PM

I bought this with the clarifying lotion and the moisturizer, all from the Acne Solutions line. I've noticed that it does have a weird smell to it, but nothing too harsh. I have very acne prone skin, and also bad rosacea. This seems to be fighting the pimples fairly well, but I like that it doesn't seem to make my rosacea flare up like other acne systems did. (proactive was a bust!) It's a bit expensive to buy all three products in the full size at once, but they do help with my acne a lot. If you have severe acne, this might not be strong enough for you - I pair it with a creme from my dermatologist every night. The two biggest downsides are definitely the smell and the price.
