Hair -Revlon - Luxurious ColorSilk Buttercream

I picked this up for less than $5 at Walmart in the shade Black 10N, and I absolutely love it! I colored my hair with it two days ago. Application was mess-free, easy, and the product didn't burn/itch my scalp. The gloves that came with it were surprisingly good. Usually the gloves that come with at-home hair color kits are too small for me, but these were perfect. And they were black, which was kind of different. :) I applied some unscented Lubriderm (blue and white bottle) lotion to my forehead, face, ears, and the back of my neck before I applied the hair dye to avoid staining, and I ended up with no stains. Not one! I'm not sure if it's due to this particular hair dye or the lotion, as I have never tried either before, but the combination worked great. It did not take as much time to rinse out as others I've tried, such as the original Revlon ColorSilk, (which I'm actually not a big fan of) so that's impressive. No big mess in the shower, and no staining on my skin or shower at all. I did not use the conditioner that came with this product because I don't use silicones in my hair, so I can't say anything about that. I used my regular conditioner and my hair came out very soft and manageable. The end color result is great. Absolutely zero grays, This is the best black color I have tried to date. No red or blue or orange tints, just a softer black. If I was really nit-picky, the only con I could think of for this product is that it takes a few washes to stop bleeding out color. This has not seemed to effect my color and is not a problem at all, as I've come to expect that with DIY hair color. I can't say anything about how long it lasts because I only did it two days ago. This was a great all around hair coloring experience. I would use this again and again and would totally recommend it. Runs circles around the original Revlon ColorSilk, IMO. Try it! I will update soon to talk about lasting power.

Lip Treatments -E.L.F. - Lip Balm SPF 15

My favorite lip balm. It feels so nice on your lips, like a minty/tingly feeling. I love the consistency and it keeps my lips so soft. I use it every night before bed. My only complaint is that it seems like a kind of small amount of product for 3 bucks, but it's still not bad! I think it's worth it. Better than Chapstick, Carmex, and Blistex combined, IMO. *UPDATE: I bought my 2nd tube of this about a month ago. Like I said in my original review, I still love the feeling and consistency of the balm, however I had some really bad chapped lips the other day and used this frequently for 2 days and it did absolutely nothing to solve the problem..it softened my lips up but did not help the red, sore chapped lips. The weird thing is, the first tube I got was great! I guess my lips just didn't get that chapped during that time. Maybe I'm expecting too much from this. Idk..but I got more relief from a generic Chapstick than from this lol. But if you buy this for the SPF purposes, it works like a charm. Feels amazing on your lips..just don't expect it to relieve chapped lips. Oh and another downside is that there doesn't seem to be a lot in the tube. I bumped this down to 4 lippies instead of 5 because it doesn't meet all my needs but I would still repurchase. And I still LOVE e.l.f.!

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast

Great mascara! I thought my Maybelline Colossal was awesome, but this stuff is even BETTER! Never ever clumps. You can apply as many layers as you want with no clumping. It gives a beautiful volume. I have no problems with this mascara at all. The bottle is a little chunky but that's not a problem for me. It was super cheap and I will be buying it again.

Cleansers -Aveeno - Clear Complexion Cream Cleanser

I have extremely dry skin with red patches on my cheeks. I have tried everything from Clean & Clear to Neutrogena to Biore and everything in between, and this is my favorite that I have tried so far. It is super moisturizing! I have been using it a month (give or take) and I'm noticing that my red patches are slowly going away. This is not going to work overnight. I am 1/2 to 2/3 of the way to the bottom of my tube. You must give this time. I have definitely noticed a better complexion overall and I have had hardly any acne at all since I started this (but I am not very prone to acne in the first place) and this cleanser is clearing up my red patches, which is exactly what I bought it for. At less than six dollars at my local Walmart, this product is not very expensive at all compared to skin cleansers I have purchased in the past. I use this 2 times daily along with my Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion..it's my HG moisturizer and if this cleanser keeps working the way it has, it just might upgrade to HG status. :) I'll do an update when the bottle is finished to let you know if my opinion still stands! EDIT: I've finished the bottle! I liked it, it did a great job moisturizing (it feels sooo nice) but I thought it would reduce my redness more than it did. It did reduce a lot of redness, just not as much as I wanted it to. Some days my redness was very mild and other days it got kinda bad. I used this twice a day every day. Maybe I just have unrealistic goals for what I want in a cleanser? I don't know..but overall, I'm still giving this product four stars because it is so moisturizing and for the most part, it did what it was supposed to. I think I'm going to try something different though..this doesn't quite make HG status! Oh and when I bought this I think it was on sale because it was under six dollars at my local Walmart and I went back to the same store yesterday to see if the price was the same and it had jacked up to almost seven bucks. I think I'm gonna try St. Ives Green Tea Scrub.
