Moisturizers -La Roche Posay - Effaclar Active Matt moisturizer

I started using this product when it came out because I was using the LRP Toleriane fluid but with my oily skin, my face was way too shiny, even with Double Matte foundation over. So the Effaclar Matte does not leave me shiny at all but it only lasts about 6 hrs which to me is a reasonable expectation. However, I am sacrificing moisture for oil-control because it does not moisturize as well as the Toleriane fluid. So I try to moisturize better at night and use this during the day under makeup. As an unexpected bonus, it cleared my skin up even more because of the SA in it.

Moisturizers -La Roche Posay - Toleriane Soothing Protective Facial Cream

I started using this instead of the Toleriane facial fluid for moisturizing during the winter. Same ingredients, heavier moisturizer. Plus, I'm not sure if this one is oil-free as well since it has caused me to have a very few congested pores but no visible breakouts. That is the only downside plus with my oily skin, I only use it at night because it leaves me very shiny and with a film on my skin. Not sure I could put makeup on over it. I also mix it with my retin-A every other night instead of Obagi blender for more moisture. My face has stopped peeling since doing this. For daytime moisture, I still use the LRP Effaclar Matte.

I started the entire Nu-derm line 6 months ago and this, along with the Deep Foaming Cleanser, is the product I have continued to use. The Exfoderm Forte caused itchy, red bumps and worsened my acne. The Clear clogs pores, so I use it only about once a week. But the Blender mixed with retin-a keeps my skin tone even and smooth! Hope to use it for years to come; one tube lasts 4-5 months.

Moisturizers -La Roche Posay - Toleriane Soothing Protective Light Facial Fluid

I really like this product because it seems to be very calming to my acne-prone, stressed skin. I use many overly drying acne products for cystic acne and congestion of my pores and use this as a nice, soothing moisturizer. It is very light and soaks right in. I only gave it 4 lippies because it tends to leave a sheen on my face and I would prefer an oil-absorbing moisturizer but since it does NOT break me out and soothes my skin, I will definitely keep using it until I find something better. Update: 6/27/07 I have continued to use this product and still love it; I have learned to use less and work in more and the shine is more of a glow. I've ordered my 3rd bottle!

Eyes -Jan Marini - Age Intervention EyeLash

This product, with the new labeling, does much more that what it's allowed to tout. I definitely have longer eyelashes which I can now even use an eyelash curler on. I'm not sure why it's not working on everyone but I have used it nightly and sparingly, since it causes some eye dryness, and seen great results in about 3 weeks. Also, only apply on the top lid because somehow, my bottom lashes are longer but not overly so, I can imagine what they'd be like if I were using the product on the lower lid! Very pricey stuff but the tube is supposed to last 4-6 months, so I'd definitely gladly pay the $20-30/month since the alternative eyelash extensions cost $400-500 with same but temporary results!!!

Moisturizers -Philosophy - Hope in a Jar - for all skin types

I received a sample tube of this from QVC. I love all the Philosophy bath and body products! However, after 1 week of using this as a daytime and nightime moisturizer on my face, my skin definitely got congested: clogged, bumpy pores. It is definitely NOT for oily, acne-prone skin! Otherwise I would probably still be using it; I passed it on to my husband who has dry, sensitive skin and he likes it. The scent was light and minty; it slightly tingles when applied. It had a light texture and absorbed rapidly. It didn't feel greasy afterward either. It felt good to put on; refreshing. Too bad, I can't use it.

Sunscreen -Colorescience - Sunforgettable SPF 30

I LOVE this product! It absoulutely does provide good sunscreen. (I tested by not applying to neck). I have an oily, tan complexion (use almost clear) and use this as a light coverage with no foundation. I use the attached-brush container version. It comes in a metal tube, which the package says to carry it in and have had no problems carrying it in my purse. No powder even on the cap when I open it. Very good for on the go touch-ups!
