Lip Gloss -Sephora - Tube Lip Gloss
rated 3 of 5
kathrynannferrel 2/6/2013 3:08:00 PM

I have a few of these colors from the Sephora collection, and mainly bought them because they were the least expensive. I think that some of the colors that Sephora makes in this lip gloss are very pretty, but I find them to be a bit goopy at time, and I'm not a fan of the applicator - it's an odd shape, and feels like it gathers the saliva from your lips (gross, I know). They last a good time and the tube is pretty nice, but I think there are better lip products out there for less money.

Highlighters -Bobbi Brown - Pink Quartz Shimmer Brick
rated 5 of 5
kathrynannferrel 2/6/2013 3:03:00 PM

Such a pretty item, and not to mention versatile, too! Normally, I use this product as my HG blush. It gives me a nice subtle color of rose to my cheeks, and really brightens up the face. It can be a highlighter as well. I have seen some videos in which girls have used this quartz for eyeshadows, which is a brilliant idea, and they all look so beautiful. This applies smoothly and lasts all day. Where would I be without my Shimmer Brick?

Eye Shadow -MAC - Satin Taupe
rated 5 of 5
kathrynannferrel 1/31/2013 3:52:00 PM

Such a lovely color, which obviously gets the love it deserves. Satin Taupe is a plummy taupe that I believe is a satin (I guess that makes sense, considering the name!), and just has a subtle hint of shimmer. I think this may be on of those universal eyeshadows that just looks good on everyone. It looks fantastic with my features - very striking and makes the blues in my eyes enhanced. I love the smooth and buttery pigmentation, and how true to color it is. For me, it is a little dramatic for daytime, but is perfectly sexy to come out at night!

Eye Shadow -MAC - All That Glitters
rated 2 of 5
kathrynannferrel 1/31/2013 3:48:00 PM

Hmmm... I'm just not sure if All That Glitters is all it is hyped up to be. Possibly one of MAC's most popular shades, All That Glitters is a shimmery peach color that will definitely catch your eye in the pan. But on my fair skin, this color comes off too orange and just washes me out entirely. I see this shadow suggested everywhere for pale skin, but I certainly do not agree. I think this probably looks great for tanner skinned ladies, but I plan on either taking this back to MAC or still try it out and find some way to wear it.

Eyeliner -Revlon - ColorStay Liquid Liner
rated 5 of 5
kathrynannferrel 1/30/2013 3:16:00 PM

This is truly the only liquid eyeliner that I've ever tried, but I am not at all tempted to stray away! It works just right for me. It lasts all day and can be built up for a dramatic look, but isn't too overbearing. The felt tip applicator is just the right size to glide the liner right across the lash line and even get in between lashes. Such a great liquid liner for a good price.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Omega
rated 5 of 5
kathrynannferrel 1/30/2013 3:05:00 PM

One of my absolute favorite MAC shadows! Omega is a matte, medium brown-taupe that seems to stay true to its color. It applies perfectly all over the lid, or can be used in the crease as a transitional color. This eyeshadow is a perfect neutral for my skin tone, and looks sexy with Mac Patina or Mulch in the crease. Very pretty! I also love pairing this with Mac Satin Taupe in the crease for a flawless smoky brown eye! Mac Omega seems pretty simple in the pan, but glides on so buttery and pigmented onto eyelids. It's so soft and smooth, it looks more satin-y on the lid. With its quality and versatility, it is a must have! I love how this shadow goes with my features. It is completely neutral, not too cool, not too warm, just the perfect amount of each. My blue eyes pop with this eyeshadow, and illuminates with my red auburn hair and light skin. I think that Omega is a vital shadow to have in a make up collection. Completely beautiful!

Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'N Soft Mascara
rated 4 of 5
kathrynannferrel 1/29/2013 7:54:00 PM

I usually use this mascara paired with Covergirl Lash Perfection to give me everything I want from lashes: length, volume, thickness, and definition. I find that this mascara alone can get a little clumpy, but over Lash Perfection, really gives me those lashes you just want to butterfly kiss. ;)

Primer/ Corrector -Too Faced - Primed and Poreless Powder
rated 4 of 5
kathrynannferrel 1/29/2013 3:22:00 PM

As I was on the hunt for a good setting powder, I was directed to this one at Sephora. I'm fairly pleased with this product. It certainly does the trick; my facial make up lasts all day with this powder dusted over it. Not to mention, the packaging is extremely pretty. (Too Faced knows how to grab you with their designs)! I don't wear this all the time though, as I find it sometimes breaks me out. (That's make up for ya!)

Liquid -Bobbi Brown - Skin Foundation SPF 15
rated 4 of 5
kathrynannferrel 1/29/2013 3:16:00 PM

I don't wear foundation on a regular basis. I've really been trying to let my skin breathe lately, but when I do need some coverage, I go straight to my Bobbi Brown Foundation. It's light enough but covers up any redness, and works well with my combination skin type. I also like how it has SPF in it, but doesn't wash me out. If I use it, I usually have to wear a setting powder with it, or it can get a little oily around my forehead. Otherwise, a great foundation!

Concealers -Giorgio Armani - Skin Retouch concealer
rated 4 of 5
kathrynannferrel 1/29/2013 3:12:00 PM

Probably one of the best concealers I've used out of the thousands I've bought. I like the soft application with the brush tip, and how it really truly covers up redness and dark circles. It's easily blendable and lasts all day. A little sure goes a long way; I've had one tube for almost a year and a half now and am not even close to scraping the side of the bottle for product. Nice!

Concealers -Revlon - ColorStay Under Eye Concealer
rated 3 of 5
kathrynannferrel 1/29/2013 3:09:00 PM

I guess this is an OK concealer. It's about average. As I'm still on the hunt for that 'perfect' concealer, I've tried a wide range of products. This isn't the worst, but definitely not the best. It covers up any redness or blemishes pretty well, but I find it to be a little too drying. And after a full day of wearing, it tends to get cakey. It was worth the try, but I won't repurchase.

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Wear Infinite Quad in Desert Sunrise 106
rated 4 of 5
kathrynannferrel 1/29/2013 3:00:00 PM

I've never heard of a more perfect name for a palette: 'Desert Sunrise'. This is exactly what the colors of this palette remind me of. First you have a shimmery light rose color (labeled as the lid color), a basic white highlight, a velvet-y golden brown for the crease, and a matte dark liner, combined to create a pretty little desert painting on your eyes. This quad is amazing for blue eyes and pale skin, but I think it could suit brown eyed ladies as well. These aren't the best as far as pigmentation, but are still buildable. They blend well together. I usually sway towards more neutral colors, but this quad allows me to "venture" out a little into the color world and experiment with the pink. It still looks natural and pretty.

Eyes -Rimmel - Trio Eye Shadow - Orion
rated 4 of 5
kathrynannferrel 1/29/2013 2:46:00 PM

This is the first Rimmel product I have ever bought, and I'm pretty impressed! I would say this trio is one of the best drugstore eyeshadows on the market. The colors glide on and blend impeccably, and are fairly pigmented. The lid color is a medium brown that I find has a little bit of pink undertones to it. It's nice to wear on it's own or with the full trio to amp it up. The only problem I have with this color is that if I've had a long night (or an emotional one) and my eye lids are red the next morning, the color will translate into a orange-y beige, even with primer. The darkest color is a plum brown that is so pigmented, it's almost ridiculous! I only put a tiny bit on my brush and blend this into my crease, and the job is done. I have no problems with the white highlight. It's matte and does the trick. No complaints. So yes, overall this trio is definitely worth purchasing, especially for the money. It's just the right colors of neutrals that it will look good on almost everybody.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous - Pink Whisper 130 (LE)
rated 5 of 5
kathrynannferrel 1/29/2013 1:25:00 PM

Mmm... This lip gloss just says "Come over here and kiss me" ;). So sexy, especially for a low price! I've probably bought a million of these tubes in Pink Whisper. It is that perfect pink that goes with every look you wear. I especially recommend this to anyone with any of the same listed features that I have. It looks natural but still gives lips a pink little pout. I don't find it to be frosty like some of the other reviewers have said. It has a bit of shimmer to it, but not too bright, and goes on buttery smooth. Not to mention that the bottle design looks like classic glamour! Like the drugstore version of Chanel.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Wedge Eyeshadow
rated 1 of 5
kathrynannferrel 1/29/2013 1:12:00 PM

Oh Wedge, you're the only MAC eyeshadow I regret buying. I'm never sure if it's fair to review a product that looks awful on me but would look good on someone else. Irregardless, I'm putting in my two cents. Wedge is a matte medium tan. Yes, it looks boring in the pan, but is just one of those colors that's essential to every make up collection. Except for mine. This is just too orange on me. Not to mention muddy. And chalky. I shudder just thinking of the look of this on my eyes. Not cute. Sorry buddy, looks like you're going back to the store. Maybe you'll work out for someone else...
